Did this nicely done up red colt plus a few days ago with a cyclo. Well, not the whole ride, but did some serious defect removals with the cyclo on the bonnet and the roof which had quite a bit of watermarks and plenty of light scratches on the body. Having started detailing with the PC and later progressing to the rotary, the cyclo was something like a in-between the two machines which I could not figure when to use and what to use with until recently. The cyclo seems to cut down some working time compared to the PC and yet is safer to use compared to the rotary. But I have to admit, when it comes to serious defects, the rotary might still be the tool to use, but well, thats another day, another time..... Here's the process: 1) Wash n clay 2) Cyclo with yellow scrubbing pad and PG on watermarks and stubborn scratches (this steps left behind some hazing and plenty of swirls) 3) Cyclo with orange LC pads and PO106FF and RMG (whole car) 4) PC with grey LC pad and CG EZ-creme glaze 5) 2x M-Seal by hand Some defects before n after: BONNET: Rear Fender: Door Handle

Finally complete another major cleanup About 3 week back, perform - wash with optimum car wash - clay - optimum polish using GEX270 - wash again - then AIO - SG for vetical surface, - AJ for horizontal panel plus OCW after awhile 2nd week - wash with optimum car wash - feel and very minimum calying - 2nd layer of SG for vetical surface, - AJ for horizontal panel plus OCW last week - same as 2nd week - 3rd layer of SG - plus some sample 425 And the result, ok ? Sleekest is there but then still feel the finish not very clear. Maybe the original paint? well then again it a barget car . Do share and comment as I am still learning. Photo.... Front and rear.. Bought the Mitsubishi Colt Plus and got it just a week ago for the family. A good second car to drive around on those trips where you need four doors and a big boot to move things/people around. Bought it at a steal, and so far I still think i made a good buy though my wife and i do have a few peeves about it. Paid an extra $3,000 for ralliart kit, replace rear drum brakes with brake discs and other stuff that i can't remember... First most major problem we have with the car: Super Light Steering. I think the power steering is excessive. There's no weight or feedback in the steering completely. My PC gaming momo steering wheel is heavier and has more feedback that the Colt's steering. It's bad and dangerous. There's so little road-feel to the steering. And Second is the "button" feel pedals. The accelerator and brake feel like mere buttons. There's no distance between the pedals and the floor. Foot just "press" the acceleration and it's floored liao. Pedal leaves little room for braking too. It's a little easy to brake too hard, causing the car to jerk. Though we got used to it after just a day of cruising around. Third peeve is the HUGE A-pillar. If you're an inexperienced driver, you may miss an oncoming vehicle "hiding" in your left or right A-pillar (the "beam" that's next to your sideview mirror). The driver is seat in such a way that it's easy for him to be blocked nby the A-pillar. Not safe. Good thing my wife and i have experiences in quite a number of different cars to find it an adaptable problem. Wondering whether other Colt drivers feel the same way too. We've no complains about the lack of power or acceleration, since having paid a bargain basement price from C&C we don't expect super performance. Though I must say there are other 1.6litre cars out there that are quicker. We like its: fuel economy, spaciousness, cute looks and mp3/wma head unit. From the problems we've illustrated, you guys should be able to tell that my wife and i did not test-drive the car before buying it. Haha. Oh well, thought this type of car no need test drive one. But we still have no regrets. But we do have questions. Are there Colt drivers out there who have solutions to its "light steering"? Do u guys face the same problems with its huge A-Pillars?

ANyone care to comment abt my OPen POd. i change my oringal setup which is a drop+CAI into a OPen POd+CAI. they say more power for open pod so i change. only notice loudness in the car.... anyone can tell me the Adv and DISadv of open pod? so far i cannot really really feel the difference..... help? Hi, me new to this forum... me currently driving Kia Rio today nicely 1mth.... but the side of my bumper being scratch by other ka-u driver when doing reversing... anyone have any idea how much does it cost to change the whole bumper plus spraying... I heard from the dealer is about 100plus for bumper as for sparying not mention...

Hi folks, I am thinking of doing an open pod but apparently, after a discussion with my mechanic, he actually told me that for optimum efficiency, we still need to regulate the amount of air that is being sucked in. This brings to mind on the SAFC (since my ride is SOHC) being thrown in between the piping and the engine. Is this necessary? Say ... for excessive air intake, what happens? Pro and cons? Ed
