  1. Need to confirm. I was craning my neck in the taxi to get more details... Was at Novena square/revenue house junction around 630 and the car sped off towards Orchard thru Scotts Road. Left hand drive. Volkswagen. Passat. Coupe. Did not managed to catch the plate leh, but with the ang moh aunty drive and left hand drive, sure CD plate.

    Rare Toyota

Doubt any of you has seen one before.
  3. Hint: The brand is a Popular Jap Car.
  4. Saw this hatchback version of the Hyundai Accent today at Ang Mo Kio Central.. The design sure looks decent Sorry for the blur pic.. 1.3 mp cam nia
  5. Nice and rare ride. http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/listing.php?BRSR=36&CAT=4 really wish i can afford it for its exclusivity but 20k per annum depre is not to mention the astronomical road tax insurance and petrol bills. sadly this series is gone, most probably the last of its kind.
  6. http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-2fARpVrY-1000.html any comments? honestly i havent seen it before on our roads. even if its a PI, it should still be hot favorites as its a honda.
  7. http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-2ARHbtG-1000.html Is this a real Ford Sierra RS Cosworth?
  8. very cool colour on a Gallardo roadster.

  10. Spotted a rare sight of a very well maintained 1982 Datsun 120Y stationwagon today & had my passenger capture a shot of it. It reminded me of those days when I took my driving test using a Datsun 120Y saloon.
  11. http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-20byIkK9-1000.html Reminds of the Alfa 75 that I used to drive. Rare great Italian buy - as rare as finding a needle in a hay stack!
  12. I saw an M7 on the roads today. Did not even know this car exists, or that SG has it. Driven by a male in his 40s. Got huge rims, but everything else looks normal, only one tailpipe. Wonder if anyone can verify i saw the real thing or someone just pasted the sticker on it

    Skoda rare??

Talk about owning a rare car in Sg ....yesterday evening itself, I saw 1 black spb turning off into clementi ave 4 (super chio rims and tailpipes), a red fabia parked at rear gate to gillman heights and another octy(from the taillights) zooming along AYE towards Clementi all in the space of 1 hr!! Good to see Skoda becoming more popular...any1 of these drivers in this forum??? Just saying hi!!
  15. ...and this one, specially for Fluffy, a chimaera (that's kI-'mir-& for you who are wondering, and not, as some would be tempted to go that route, cheem-me-ra) And you thought these things were, depending on your source, either some form of cartilaginous fishes related to sharks or some mythical beast which background eludes me Wonder what sort of resale value this baby commands tho.....
  16. i want to get rare rims like HRE,I-forged,Diablo... never seen any shop selling them..anyone knows where? any help will be much appreciated ..
  17. We're 3 days shy of one little anthracite blue Mk2 Toledo turning 3 but seeing I probably won't be able to log this on her birthday (yes, I'm pretty much convinced mine's a "she" ) and to-date, I am still pretty much proud to say I'm glad I chose her over the rest three years ago. Stats - 1.6m 5-speed manual anthracite blue, stock except for Mintex Red's (K&N recently got discarded "accidentally" ). Was on Pirelli p6000's, now Bridgestone g3's. Mileage - 66000+ (a lot lower than a certain black one... ) Fuel consumption (km/ltr): Best ever - 14.1 (NS highway blast) Worst ever - 8.9 (don't ask me what I was doing then.... ) Average - 11.5 Repairs and reliability - contrary to popular belief and despite countless doomsayers, I'm proud to report, apart from wear-and-tear issues and minor niggles (all listed below) she's been pretty much trouble-free. Repair costs and part replacement have also, contrary to general perception, been pretty reasonable. Unplanned repairs to-date: - sagging roof lining which I didn't notice (replaced under warranty) - faulty aircon vent (changed twice under warranty) - 12-volt plug in boot not working (blown fuse, replaced under warranty) - rear wheel hub (overtightened bolt snapped, replaced by now-mercifully-defunct dealer after some major haggling) - faulty temperature sensor ($20) - brake pad change (can't remember price for pads, labour free ) - broken dipstick ($12) - blown gasket, oil leak (gasket replaced - $70 incl workmanship) - clogged throttle valve (after blast up and down NS h'wy) - blown front indicator, orange bulb ($5) - front passenger window lifter module replacement ($330 - incl workmanship...ouch!) - complete transmission shift linkage replacement ($240 - incl workmanship - very pleased with outcome ) Agenda for the coming year - timing belt (ouch time.... ) - clutch - possibly another window module Likes to-date - build quality for a car of its range still impresses 3 years on - toys, toys and more toys (cruise control, ICE with speed-sensitive volume adjustment and split front-rear function control, trip computer, built-in rear blind which I hardly use, great 6-disc CD changer, digital climate control) - decent handling (not the best) in stock form, not-too-firm ride - surprisingly stable at highway speeds - usually ignored, which I really appreciate in M'sia (some say she's Korean..... ) - damped grab handles.... - huge boot - poor resale value - decent power to haul the family Dislikes to-date - lack of cubby holes - nonsense radio reception (then again, there's not much to listen to.... ) - tempremental alarm (especially in my 1st year of ownership ) - in-dash changer means a joke-of-a glovebox - fragile dipstick - squealy brakes in the morning with Mintex pads (sounds like an SBS bus when I leave for work....) - rubbery, inconsistent (and seemingly mood-dependent) gearshift, made worse by wear-and-tear - monster boot compromises rear legroom - lacks power when I'm alone In short, I'm definitely looking forward to spending a couple more years with her...

    Rare sight

Apologies for the poor resloution (I guess 288x352 is just a wee bit pathetic for today's standards but that's the best my phone can go) but along with the Opel Lotus Omega, P1800, Renault Avantime and 1st generation SL ,this probably ranks among my top 5 rarest daily-useable cars in S'pore (excluding, of course, short-run exoticars such as the recently purchased Zonda and the No.8 Ferrari F50 et al). Heard that one was recently posted on the classifieds. Wonder if there were any takers..... Oh, btw, it's a regular in my office carpark....
