Maybe guys like these are planted to make driving less appealing. Maybe I'm watching too many conspiracy videos. What happened? An uncle with nothing better to do on Telok Kurau road decided to hold up traffic and be a nuisance, as well as damage other people’s cars by banging on the bonnets. The video shows that this uncle blocked a taxi with his body, kicking it and swinging his hands in the air like he just don’t care. However, the taxi was luckily able to escape. The same cannot be said for the car behind the taxi, which was forced to stay in front of the uncle and was treated to a no doubt unpleasant tirade, as well as damage from the uncle’s fists. It is unknown how long he spent in the area, as a variety of motorists were spotted being harassed by him. An elderly man attempted to stop him but was threatened with violence and subject to a cringe display of… whatever this is supposed to be. Another motorist eventually got him off the road, and police arrived to investigate the situation. Online chatter Many speculate him being on substances or having mental health problems. -

TL;DR - A near-miss accident as a Nissan Qashqai driver forgets to engage the handbrake before switching drivers. As a female driver myself, I do not conform to both the stereotypes: 1. Female drivers are bad drivers 2. Females do not drive as well as males This incident debunks the tropes. Watch this 86-second video to see how this male driver conveniently leaves the car without engaging the handbrake, causing the car to roll backwards. So what happened? The Qashqai driver stopped midway on the road in Malaysia where he decided to switch driver seats with the passenger princess. That, itself, is triggering enough for the cam car. To add a cherry on top, the driver consigned to oblivion as he stepped out of the car, without applying his handbrake. This caused the car to roll backwards. The cam car continuously honked at the Qashqai before both cars kissed. Ignorance is not always bliss... I’m sure we have all heard of the typical words from a male driver: “Confirm female driver” “Must be some lady driving” “Want to bet that it's a woman driving?” However, statistically-speaking, males cause more road accidents than women. Work started in August, and when it is completed by the middle of 2023, the reconfigured junction should be easier to navigate. In the reconfiguration, two traffic islands, five small yellow boxes and six traffic lights will be removed. In their place will be one big yellow box, with just one set of traffic lights per direction. All existing right turns will be retained. In response to queries from The Straits Times, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said the project “will simplify the current junction configuration into a normal cross junction”. A driver came across a motionless/passed out man along Clarke Quay this morning (presumably from alcohol consumption), with one leg sprawled on the road. Some people tried to wake the man up, but it was to no avail and an ambulance had to be called for medical assistance. With bars and clubs easing on the restrictions and being able to fully open from April 19th 2022, one can expect what used to be rare sightings like these to occur more frequently. Only goes to show that Clarke Quay is slowly returning to what it was before. According to Bloomberg, bars in Singapore have been seeing reservations jump after the government had announced that loosening up restrictions for nightlife in Singapore. Though, it’ll be best to drink responsibly and make sure that you have friends to take care of you should you overdo it. Considering it's late at night, an oblivious driver could have easily run over his legs. Netizen Comments Netizens expressed their take on the situation above. ComfortDelGro taxi driver whips out metal pipe during road rage

We thought ComfortDelGro taxi drivers should be the most well-mannered taxi drivers on our island based on service standards, but this driver's actions made us stop and think. What made us think otherwise? This video of a very pissed-off taxi driver confronting the cam car driver for sounding his horn at him. Rewinding back to how it all started, the cam car can be heard sounding his horn at the taxi driver after a passenger gets off at a sheltered crossing. The taxi driver then proceeds to move off slowly, triggering the cam car driver to toot his horn in impatience. The taxi driver does not react to the first horn which leads to a few more horns from cam car. This is where it gets interesting. The taxi driver's pissed off at this point, he takes his time to slowly drive into the carpark and stops on the second level to confront the cam car driver. We don't really know what happened after the taxi driver got off his taxi since most of the clip is on mute. Thankfully, no one got hurt in this road rage incident. Could this have been avoided if the cam car just overtook the taxi at the shelter? Let us know! Not an isolated incident That is not the end of the story though. Someone else has also been a victim to the same taxi driver's road rage. -

Motorcyclist vigilante stops van driver from a hit-and-run with a cyclist

A round of applause for this true motorcyclist vigilante. We need more of such road users in Singapore to bring bad drivers to justice. In a recent SGRV Facebook video post, a cyclist can be seen cycling along Bukit Timah Road sometime at night when out of nowhere, a white Toyota Hiace van knocks the cyclist down. Seeing this, the motorcyclist kicked his bike into action and chased the van down to block its path. After which, he even called in the Police. According to the screenshot of the Police report in the video, the van driver claimed that he noticed that he had hit something but 'did not saw anything'. Seeing how the van driver failed his breathalyser test that was conducted after the incident, its no wonder he didn't see anything. He was arrested on the spot by the Police. Here's the full video. Cyclist tries to chase taxi but fails and makes himself look silly

Hi guys, we have more trouble-making cyclists to report. Uploaded on SG Road Vigilante's page is an incident between a cyclist and a SMRT taxi on 7th of Feb 2021 at around 2pm along Kallang road. All was well until the taxi driver wanted to turn into Crawford Street but realised that two cyclists was in his way. Realising that the cyclists wasn't going to give way, the taxi slowed down and slotted himself behind the cyclists before turning left. However, it seemed that one of the cyclist felt that the taxi driver had endangered his life when the taxi made his first move to filter left and proceeded to chase the taxi. We have no idea why he would do that. Did he think that he could chase the taxi and stop him with his bicycle? That is putting aside the fact that the taxi already gave way to him anyway. We pity the friend who was abandoned due to the cyclist's impulsive rage and it was no surprise that netizens flamed the cyclist's actions big time... -
Otters nearly didn't get to live another day at Orchard Road crossing

Seen on Mothership.sg is a family of otters trying to cross Orchard Road near Plaza Singapura over the weekend. With more than 10 of them in the family, the leader of the pack tried a few times to cross the road despite the heavy traffic. According to the article, the otters, which were squeaking, turned around twice as they realised it was not the right time to cross yet. We bet it must have been nerve-wrecking for everyone viewing this, especially the last part where a yellow CityCab taxi nearly couldn't stop in time for them. Thankfully, all of them made it across eventually. -
We start off the week with video that happened a week or so ago but only started to trend recently. Seen on SG Road Vigilante, is this particular Mazda 3 driver that became so triggered that he had to get out of his car with vulgarities spewing out of his mouth non stop. Like all road rage incidents though, it takes two to clap. Thankfully, the camera car driver was honest enough to show what he did that made the Mazda 3 driver so pissed. We could see him honking the Mazda as the road merge at the junction along Bedok North Road, before speeding past the Mazda which also tried to filter into the middle lane due to construction works ahead. Those two actions probably triggered the Mazda 3 driver bad and when he got to block the camera car, he made sure he was heard by the camera car. Probably not wanting to blow this up, the camera car drove off after the heated exchange of words but the Mazda 3, whose road tax had also expired, gave chase and did some not-very-nice gestures when he caught up... Anyone got stuck on PIE last evening for more than an hour and half? A few of us in the team did so, no thanks to someone who swerved out at the last minute, causing an accident that required a huge cleaning-up effort from the authorities. Thanks to SG Road Vigilante, we now know what caused the accident which happened at PIE's Steven Road exit in the direction of Jurong, at 630pm. While the accident itself didn't cause any serious injury, it is obvious that the Mazda 3 driver was at fault. According to the comments online, it does look like he or she was trying to avoid a frontal collision in his/her own lane by swerving into lane 2 but that unfortunately meant that the 2 motorcyclists that were lane-spliting, had to fall due to such a move. Kudos to both the tipper truck and the Malaysian van for being reactive to what was happening in front of them! -
Honda Civic Turbo driver shows us how to overtake like a pro

When if comes to overtaking, we bet this Honda Civic driver is one of the most skilled drivers on our road if not the most skilled. This happened on Christmas eve at around 11:45pm along Bartley East Rd in the area of Kaki Bukit towards the CTE and we must say we are impressed with the precision of the overtake. As you can see from the clip, the matt-greenish Civic Turbo came out of nowhere and moved across from one lane to the other with not much room to spare, before proceeding to accelerate away briskly. It is of utmost importance that we keep our brake systems working and healthy at all times. The following video perfectly illustrates why. Seen on 8th of December is a Honda Vezel exiting onto a busy Dunearn Road from one of the smaller lanes. The law-abiding drivers would know that you should never turn into the middle lane but this Vezel bravely crossed the double white line without hesitation. This caused the Honda Civic Type R camera car that submitted the video to SG Road Vigilante to claim that he had to slam on his brakes real hard, causing the brake hose to erm... break. In our opinion, the Honda Vezel driver is a joke but we must point out that the Type R camera car was also going at a good nick in the drizzle. Thankfully, there was no contact between the cars but the camera car driver made sure to give the Vezel driver a piece of his mind (Watch until the final moments of the video).

TP officer escorts elderly women across road, warms the hearts of netizens!

Amidst all the gloom around the world and bad road behavior we see on our roads here, there are still good vibes happening around once in a blue moon. Spotted on 25th of Nov 2020 along Ang Mo Kio Ave 1, the footage from this camera car shows it arriving at the traffic lights to see that the lane on his right was stationary even though his lane was moving. As the lights went green, he must have wondered why the first lane remained stuck. Upon reaching the stop line, we could see why as a kind-hearted Traffic Police officer could be seen helping an elderly cross the road. The lady would have taken some time to cross as the lights had already turned red before she even had time to reach the other side of the road. Naturally, neitzens were full of praise for Mr. TP officer on some Facebook pages ... -
Drunk truck driver nearly sends tree flying into HDB flat!

Now we bet the the driver of this truck will be regretting really hard about driving after having some drinks. Spotted on Beh Chia Lor's Facebook page and some of our Whatsapp group chats, is this video of a trailer truck crashing into an HDB block at Block 152 Yung Ho Road. It happened on 16 Nov 2020. Thankfully, the tree that the truck knocked down managed to stop it from crashing into one of the first level HDB unit. Rest In Peace, tree... Cyclist gives middle finger despite going against the lights!

Sometimes we wonder why cyclists are not licensed. If you aren't convinced, maybe watching a video below like the one below might make you re-consider. Shot on 8th of Nov 2020 with the camera car turning onto Dunearn Road, we can see that the driver stops abruptly before a caucasian cyclist comes into view with his middle finger raised for a split second. Obviously that wasn't very pleasant with the driver who submitted the video to ROAD.sg claiming that the cyclist was going across the road when the Red-man sign was lighted. What do you guys think? Should our traffic police start handing out more fines to cyclists who don't obey the rules of the road? The Netizens sure agree from what we can see... -

From this video, one of the conclusions we can draw from it is when you have just been given a ticket by the parking officer, threatening him on whether he knows who you are or not isn't going to help you get out of trouble. As seen on SG Road Vigilante's recent post on 23rd of September 2020, the offender has just gotten a parking ticket along Sturdee Road North and can be seen trying to video down the whole confrontation with the officer who just gave him a ticket. Obviously not that good at redeeming himself, the owner of the video tries to 'put pressure' on the officer by asking him whether 'he knows who he is?' and claiming that the officer is less clear about the laws than him. If you are curious as to what happens next, catch the video below and let us know how you would react if you happen to be in such a situation. -
A van has been injured in this accident due to a cyclist's silly carelessness. Jokes aside, this is quite an unfortunate incident whereby a cyclist smashed into the back of a Toyota Hiace van which was stationary along one of Old Airport Road's traffic junction. The accident happened in the wee hours of the morning, with the cyclist apparently beating a red light at the previous junction as traffic was light. With the need to go as fast possible, he likely chose keep his gaze low on the road to be as aerodynamic as possible without realising that the van that he was about to crash into had actually stopped at the upcoming traffic junction. Thankfully, the cyclist survived but he sure looked quite messed up. We hope he recovers well! P.S. SG Road Vigilante's video thumbnail might be slightly disturbing for some. Watch how egos got the better of both these cars (Maserati crashed!)

Not happy with being overtaken or high beamed at? Why not try jamming your brakes so that the car that offended you can crash into you? That's what this Maserati Quattroporte driver did when the camera car behind beamed him. According SG Road Vigilante's post, the accident happened on the wee hours of 5th of Aug 2020 along Keppel Road. In the video, we can see the camera car trying to overtake both the Mercedes Vito and the Maserati but was blocked a couple of times. Both vehicles were apparently friends or colleagues from the same company and once the Maserati managed to overtake the camera car, the Maserati jammed his brakes suddenly, causing the camera car, which we reckon from that turbo flutter and gearshift, an Audi A4, to crash into it. The Maserati's occupants then came out, demanding the camera car driver to get out and "settle things". After some aggressive exchange of words, the Maserati just drove off as if nothing happened. Weird In our opinion, this is just one side of the story as we have no idea what the camera car driver did to anger the Maserati driver. Accidents like this usually takes two hands to clap. The last few days have been relatively peaceful for our roads until this particular accident that was post by SG Road Vigilante caught our attention. With the accident happening a couple of weeks ago (17 July), this is not the latest news but it is one of the most recent videos that surfaced online. What made us sit up and take notice is how the Toyota Hiace driver lost control of his van. To zoom past the camera car on the left at that speed must have meant that the Hiace driver lost it way before the Steven Road exit on PIE towards Jurong. He then went across 3 lanes at approximately 80km/h before smashing into the center barriers and coming to a stop in the middle of the highway. What do you guys think happened? While some of us who are working from home can stay in bed longer in this cool weather, others who have to go into the office had to brave the thunderstorm this morning (23 June 2020). Certain parts of Singapore experienced flash floods and there were plenty of videos and photos being shared around. For those who hasn't seen any of those, here are some of the 'highlights' from SG Road Vigilante and other sources. The Tanah Merah/Bedok area seemed to have had it especially bad. We were impressed most of the traffic still continued on their way despite the flood water at Upper Changi Rd.
