  9. To the owner of Hyundai Avante Sports Make, SJQ458*P, I hope that you are a member of MCF and I really hope that you are reading this. I see you very often in the multi-storey carpark in the morning and I have noticed the following bad habits that you have: 1) You're very heavy footed and the speed that you're driving at in the multi-storey carpark is very fast 2) You tail gate drivers that are moving down the multi-storey carpark 3) You overtake drivers on bends (Not the main road, but the small road circumference of our HDB flats) Allow me to remind you that it is early in the morning, alot of old folks go out for their morning walks, parents/maids walking their children to school, alot of road users going to work, the way you drive is simply RECKLESS! The speed that you're driving at allows minimal reaction time for yourself, other drivers and pedestrians. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE AND THINK for the safety of others. If you're in a rush all the time in the morning, please do something to avoid the mad rush..you'll be a much safer driver and you won't start your day feeling so flustered with all the mad rush. I really hope you're reading this.

  12. Hi guys. 29 March 2010, 1810H. My father was driving in my Latio Sports along Jurong Town Hall Road going towards Singapore Science Centre. He was going straight. Upon approaching the T-Junction with Science Centre Road, a big lorry (driven by a China worker) wanting to turn right into the minor road (perhaps u-turn) did not check the road carefully and had hit my Latio onto the right fender. This push and impact from the big lorry has sent the Latio right into the minor road. Luckily my father had brake-ed in time and was alone, it hit the right fender, not the driver door area. Both airbags are out. As there are many cars at that time (well known for the busy jurong town hall road esp at peak hours), I highly doubt my father can hit beyond 60KM/H. As there are alot of car at that moment, I was thinking whether are we lucky enough to have a fellow forumer at that scene which may help us to be witness if there ever is a need. My father was sent to NUH immediately by the ambulance. From what I understand, TP will always be in the accident scene to measure the road and stuff like that, once ambulance is activated. However, when I return to the scene, a kind police officer told me that all TPs are engaged so will not come to scene. I kind of believe that as I realised that the radio reported quite a lot more accident at the point of time. As TPs did not come, I might need help from witnesses. My father is fine now [sweatdrop] beside suffering from neck injury due to whiplash from the seat belt and after shock. Pictures taken on scene, after scene and the next day when my car is in workshop. Click Here For Pictures Lastly, I would like to say that fellow Lations, you're in a pretty much strong and sturdy car from what I conclude in these pictures and what I saw. Worry not, but still drive carefully! Thanks for your time.

  17. The Honda NSX may yet surface but not as the 5.5-litre V10 rocket that it was initially supposed to be. Having shelved the project in late 2008 reports suggested that virtually nothing could be done by Honda to salvage it. That is until now. It appears that automakers are steadily shifting towards the green sports car and the NSX could be the next one on the list. A rumour has surfaced that says not only is the NSX back on track but it will now ditch the petrol V10 for a next generation "valveless throttle" 3.5-litre V6 with a hybrid system. In total the car would produce about 330kW (450PS), effectively taking it out of Nissan GT-R territory and putting it squarely against the Toyota FT-HS as well as the likes of the Audi RS 5 and the BMW M3. However the added weight of the batteries and other hybrid apparatus could negate its performance potential. So the times previously posted by the V10 at the Nurburgring might be revised. The company's SH-AWD system is to be used and placed on an aluminium platform. No launch dates are yet mentioned, but given that the original V10 car was expected to launch in 2010, the hybrid version could follow along similar lines. news link here : http://www.worldcarfans.com/109072220604/h...rts-car--report
  18. Guys, Please help. I have a '04 E60. This is my current steering wheel and airbag. Now that I about bought this two items but they do not fit, at places that used to be flat, now the airbag has 'step', which is blocking me from mounting the airbag. Even the software is Version 7.2, newer than the 5.0 found on my original module Can I just buy a new mounting plate and just connect everything together? I also don't see any separate ground cable that other guy described in another post.
  19. As above, anyone tried on and what is the response ? Been using 98 for the first 2 servicing. Thinking of changing..
  20. Which is a better buy considering the 1.4 version for both which is about the same price. In fact, at launch, Scirocco appears to be cheaper than Golf Sports. Comments?
  21. Anyone did the above before and please mention the workshop that offers the service. Many thanks in advance
  22. Last week, I had planned to buy a sports car and have a few brands in mind. So last Saturday afternoon, I went to Tan Chong Motors and asked the salesperson if there is any Nissan Fairlady 370Z or GTR for test drive. The salesperson told me that there is no test drive for these 2 cars. It's really a piss off when one has the money to buy and yet no test drive available. I then went over to Stuttgart Auto to view the Porsche Cayman Hardtop. A friendly saleslady approached and explained to me the in and out of the car. Thereafter, she suggested that why not I look at the Porsche Boxster cabriolet and again explained the details. After a detailed explanation on the differences between the two, she suggested why don't I test drive both cars. We first took the Cayman for a spin with me on the wheel while she sits next to me and she took me for a very long drive to fully push the car. From the beginning, she was surprised that I have no problem handling the car and I told her that I used to drive a Porsche 911 (the latter was provided to me as a senior personnel privilege for official and personal use while working with one of the companies). When we returned to the showroom, I took the Boxster with the soft-top down with the saleslady sitting next to me and drove a very long distance. What I find surprising is that if Porsche cars salesperson suggested that I test drive their cars, why not Nissan cars. Since I have the money to buy a sprts car, I will put Japanese sports cars a miss since Tan Chong Motors think that their sports cars are more exclusive than other sports cars.
