A Bangladeshi cleaner was granted a discharge not amounting to an acquittal yesterday over the death of an Indonesian maid, whose body was found in a water tank. But the cleaner faces new charges not related to the murder. Repon Mostafa, 29, had been charged with the murder of Ms Ruliyawati, 30, on the rooftop of Block 686B Woodlands Drive 73 in May last year. He now faces five new charges not related to the murder, including three for trespassing on the rooftop of Block 686B last year. The other two charges relate to possessing an obscene film and eight uncertified video files containing films in his mobile phone. District Judge Lim Tse Haw ordered Mostafa to be remanded after he failed to raise $5,000 bail. His case was adjourned to July 24 for his lawyer Ram Goswami to take instructions from his client. place : simei street 3, in front of changkat primary school. source : CAR B. CAR A was rushing?? and wanted to overtake CAR B on simei st 3. (in front of CGH towards simei mrt) however, the road was quite crowded and CAR A was unable to overtake CAR B. worse still, an ambulance exited CGH infront of CAR B and CAR B stopped to give way to the ambulance. that made CAR A even more angry ! and when CAR A finally squeezed up beside CAR B, CAR A stayed beside CAR B - to show him the "finger!!" CAR B reportedly ignored the gesture. However, after the "finger", CAR A saw a bus had stopped in front of him and CAR A still wanted to overtake CAR B and made a sudden swerve infront of CAR B but still swiped CAR B side in the process. but the climax was after the bus stop was a traffic light and people were crossing the road. As CAR A had accelerated to cut between the bus and CAR B, he was unable to stop at the lights and ended up mounting the kerb and hitting a tree and some railings to avoid the pedestrians. note : all this while CAR A has a child in the car. this is from CAR B ... CAR A got any story ??

Anonymous said... Came across this post recently on Facebook. I think its a very appropriate reflection of PAP's treatment of foreigners vs Singaporeans: The Goatherd and the Wild Goats A Goatherd, driving his flock from their pasture at eventide, found some Wild Goats mingled among them, and shut them up in a cave together with his own for the night. The next day it snowed very hard, so that the Goatherd could not take the herd to their usual feeding places, but was obliged to keep them inside the cave. He gave his own goats just enough food to keep them alive, but fed the wild goats more abundantly, hoping that by doing so, they would stay with him and join his herd. When the snow thawed, the Goatherd led them all out to feed, and the Wild Goats scampered away as fast as they could to the mountains. The Goatherd scolded them for their ingratitude in leaving him, when during the storm he had taken more care of them than of his own herd. One of the Wild Goats, turning about, said to him:

STOMPer Sherley's husband treats her well and never lets her suffer. He worked hard and spent all his money on Sherley and her daughter, even though the child was not his. Sherley shares her story with us: "I got to know my current husband through a website called Tagged. After getting to know him through Tagged, we added each other on Facebook. "When I first got to know him, we chatted on MSN and Facebook. He followed up by asking for my number, so I gave it to him . "We address each other as 'Brother' and 'Sister'. This way of addressing each other never changed till the day we got together . "We met up together with other friends as somehow our friends are linked. I still remember that time I was attached, and I called him while I was crying. "I told him that I was very upset as my boyfriend had made accusations at me. Without a second thought, he came down to my place to find me even though it was midnight. "He tried really hard to make me smile, and he tried his very best to crack jokes. He was even very protective towards me when my boyfriend suddenly came down to talk to me. "He even warned my boyfriend not to shout or lay his hands on me. Soon after that day, my boyfriend and I broke up. My husband-to-be was there for me all this while, cheering me up and even accompanying me for my interview. "On the Jan 21 2011, we got together! The place where he first held my hand was at Martin's Pub at Boat Quay. "He knows that I've got a daughter but he has never mistreated her since the day we got together. He loves my daughter like his own. He worked very very hard every single day and spent all his money on my daughter and I. "He gave up his brothers and his friends just for my sake. He stopped drinking and cut down his smoking for the sake of our little family. "He has a very horrible past in which everyone would call him a playboy. There was once I wanted to leave him because I thought that I couldn't accept his past. "He cried very hard and he even punched the wall. He even put aside his pride and asked me to stay. My heart hurt to see him like this so I decided to stay and persuaded myself to accept his past. "Soon, it's going to be our first year anniversary and we have a baby daughter now. Everything was supposed to be great and fine, but what makes my heart hurt the most is that he's going to court on his birthday which is on Jan 17 this year. "There is nothing I can do and I can only give him my support. He is the first guy in my life that treats me so well and never lets me suffer. He would rather be the one who does all the housework and the one who bathes our daughters and feeds them. "He does so many things for me without a single complaint. "I'm writing in not because of the prizes, but I just want to tell others how blissful and happy I am. I'm appreciative and glad that he is mine. "Lastly, Hubby, thanks for every single little thing that you have done for me and all the love and concern you have for our little family! "Happy First Year Anniversary in advance, and Happy Birthday in advance! "I LOVE YOU!" Link Sabbie is that U? [inlove]

THE outlook seemed bleak for the worst-hit victim of a double hit-and-run accident on Tuesday. Mr Tong Kok Wai, 30, is suffering from severe brain damage. He has not regained consciousness. Doctors at the National University Hospital have told his family that there is little chance of him recovering. Just as all seemed lost, Mr Tong, feared to be brain-dead, shed tears of hope. His wife of three weeks, Madam Yenni Young, 31, an assistant manager at a hotel here, had mustered enough courage yesterday to utter the most painful words she has ever had to say to him. "I don't want you to suffer so much," she told her husband as she stroked his face and held his hands. "If you really cannot take it and you want to go, it's okay. Don't worry about me. I've got so many people with me. So many people are here with me." After she said those words, she saw "two fat tears" rolling down his cheeks. She told The New Paper: "I had been waiting a long time in the morning to have some time alone with him. "So many people were walking in and out to see him. Then finally, I got some time alone with him. When I saw his tears, that was when I knew he could hear me." Madam Young, a Chinese Indonesian, said she immediately rushed out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to tell her mother and mother-in-law about what she saw. The family saw, in those two tears, a miracle. And now, they're praying for an even bigger one - that he will pull through. Mr Tong, a Malaysian working in Singapore, was accompanying his friend, Mr Bong Hwee Haw, 24, to take a taxi home after supper when a black Audi A6 ploughed into them along Bukit Panjang Road at about 3am on Tuesday. It went on to hit a third person, Muhd Haris Abu Talib, 18, at the next junction. The car had been reported stolen by the Romanian embassy and was later found abandoned in Sungei Kadut. The driver remains at large. Madam Young has been keeping vigil by her husband's bedside since yesterday morning, soon after he was admitted. She said: "I also told him that I wish to hear him call me 'lao po' (wife in Mandarin) and 'Tang fu ren' (Mrs Tong in Mandarin) again. "After we got married, he used to call me that, teasingly." The couple solemnised their marriage at Traders Hotel just three weeks ago, on 20 Nov, after which there was a high-tea reception. It was attended by about 90 relatives and close friends from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. "We planned the whole wedding ourselves," she said, fingering her wedding band, which carries a single diamond. The couple were planning to go to Japan for their honeymoon. Madam Young added that Mr Tong would be undergoing more tests to confirm his condition. She described him as a faithful man whose love for her stood the test of time. "He fell for me first," she said, breaking into a smile. "We were friends many years ago when we were working at the same hotel. "He told me twice that he liked me. But at that time, I did not have any feelings for him. It probably wasn't the right time." She then left for Australia to pursue further studies and returned to Singapore only in 2007. The couple, who kept in touch while she was in Australia, met up a few times when she returned. It was on one of those outings that she realised she had fallen for him. They dated, and he proposed to her six months ago. "It was a simple proposal," she recalled. "He had dropped me hints before that, and I told him that I didn't want any ring. "We were sitting and chatting at our usual bench in the park near his place. Then he asked me, 'When should we get married?' That was it." She described her husband as a "very chatty and sociable person".

A man says that his wife is being forced to sell her body in Geylang. Mr Luo (49, security officer) believes that his wife, 47, was taken away by her former supervisor (age 36). His wife worked as a cleaner in a coffeeshop in Bedok North. Luo's wife had gone missing several times and was only recently found in Geylang. A friend had informed Luo of a woman who looks like his wife at Geylang Lorong 12. The woman was soliciting men for sex. Luo went to Geylang to see for himself and found his wife standing in the street, with her head bowed low and smelling like she hasn't bathed in days. The woman appeared fearful and kept repeating to Luo that she was being forced to sell her body. Her ex-supervisor had supposedly threatened to burn down her house, and she felt that she had no choice but to do as he demanded. Luo explains that his wife is very scared of trouble and her ex-supervisor is exploiting her fear. He also found bruises on his wife, and believes that the ex-supervisor beats her when she fails to make money on the streets. "She told me, when she makes money, they will stay in a budget hotel. If not, she will follow him and sleep out in the streets." Luo believes that his wife is doing this because she is worried that her family may be harmed by her ex-supervisor. He claims that the ex-supervisor targets ignorant older women, usually cleaners and dishwashers, and manipulates them. Luo's wife has since gone missing again and he has lodged a police report.

This is a story which is perfectly logical to all males: A wife asks her husband, "Could you please go shopping for me and buy one carton of milk, and if they have eggs, get 6." A short time later the husband comes back with 6 cartons of milk. The wife asks him, "Why the hell did you buy 6 cartons of milk?" He replied, "They had eggs." Think about it, read it again.

Was this love made in our forum? http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg..._car_forum.html Weilin was going through a stressful period in her life and did not plan to fall in love with anyone, much less someone she got to know on the net, until she met Jerry on a car forum. She said: "I think that getting to know friends from chat rooms or social networking sites are common but I got to know this great boyfriend of mine through a forum. Whats' more, it is a car forum! "I never had the habit of meeting up with strangers whom I get to know through the internet. "Two yrs ago, when I was feeling so stressed with work, studies, colleagues and health, I happened to buy my new car, and I joined this particular forum. "Some time after I joined the forum, it was time for me to collect my car. "As I am a girl and not very familiar with what to check and take note, two of the guys from the forum offered to go with me and help me with the checks. "One of them, was my Jerry, my boyfriend. "After the collection, I thought our paths wouldn't cross anymore other than through the forum chatting. "One day, he asked me for my msn and we chatted every night through msn. I will pour out my woes and troubles, he will be the 'counsellor'. "After months of chatting, we went out a few times as a group with the other fellow forum members. It was then I realised, he was interested in me. "One of his friends then encouraged me to give him a chance and give myself a chance as I was badly hurt after the previous relationship. "On Feb 14 2009, he finally plucked up the courage to ask me out and popped the question. It took me two weeks to persuade myself to accept a new relationship. "After all these years, I think I did not make the wrong choice. "He is a very patient, kind, loving, detail and fun guy to be with! "He never fails not to send me home every time we go out, cheer me up when I am down, takes care of me when I am sick, even cares for my pet even more than I care for it! "He never blames me for not setting aside time for him, or rather, he will try to fit in to my schedule. "He doesn't grumble when he needs to wait for me to doll up, when I oversleep or when I have impromptu over time at work. "We do quarrel like any couples do, but he never fails to give in to me too! "A very big thank you for making such a big difference in my life! "Although I don

I need your urgent advice about employing a maid. As a busy mother, I need someone reliable to help out at home. My maid is from Profits Agency Pte (PAP) and she has worked for me for a long time. Her mother worked for my parents and did an excellent job, so I had faith in her. For several years her performance has been very good, but recently she has become arrogant and insensitive, and is making lots of mistakes. For example: 1) She flooded my kitchen

Here is my sad and painful story: I met with an accident with Mr Chong Say Ting, driver of SFC9973X in July 2009. He tried to drive away after hitting my car. I chased him and we exchanged details. He lied in his insurance reporting report, thus he was made 100% liability of this accident. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=my7DZ1w2rSg On 16th Jan 2010, my car was badly vandalized with all four tires punctured. On 30th Jan 2010, my car was again scratched with all four tires punctured.
