  1. Anyone can recommend dented sport rim repair in Singapore near Ubi or Kaki bukit area ?
  2. Hi all, need your advices. Had changed my 4 tyres recently, do I need to get my alignment done also?? Had done the rotation during changing. My steering wheel was tilted a bit now.
  3. I reading MY auto forum, they are already saying tyre prices already dropping. SG one no drop?
  4. Hi guys, getting another set of rims from another former. Where is a good n reasonable workshop to install?
  5. Dear All, I'm intending to giveaway my current set of hankooks 205/45/17 to anyone who needs it as the tyre shops doesn't do trade ins and the set of tyres are still relatively new and threads still have a long way to go. Some conditions I can think of: 1. I will need your worn out tyres so I can drive to my designated location to change my tyres. 2. Cost of exchanging tyres at workshop to be borne by interested party. Reason why I'm changing out my current set of tyres is because I cannot bear the noise and the wet grip of this tyres doesn't fit my style of driving. Below are several photos taken today for your reference and information. Can always meet up to view the actual condition of the tyres before you decide to take up or not. Please don't flame me by saying the tyres sure got problem that's why I giving it away. I don't have this intention and the interested party can always verify before changing out. By the way, I'm staying in north-east in case you wanna know.
  6. Hi all, does anyone here used secondhand tyres before?I heard tyre shop sell secondhand one,but dunno how much it cost.Care to share abt the cost and the safety aspect of it?
  7. Hi Bros and sis, I've a tiny question to seek your advice. I'm going to swap tyres and rims with another car user. Any tips on what to look out for ? At the tyre shop, what are some things I need the staff to look out for me or to assist before I purchase the rims and tyres from the other person? Thanks for your help!
  8. Hi Just wanted to share my bad experience with these tyres. I drive a Volvo V60. My stock tyres were the Michelin Primacy which lasted me 2 years. After reading reviews online I decided to try the PS3, 17inch 45. Changed in Mar this year, did balancing and alignment, all at Kim Hoe. Tyres never felt better than the stock tyres, maybe its just not right for the V60. A lot of flexing, even without hard cornering. Threads gone by end of Sep, after only 6 months and 12k. And yes I made sure that the pressures were regularly checked Just changed to the P7. Fingers crossed Very very bad experience. I owned cars for the last 14 years and this was the worst ever experience To be fair to Kim Hoe, I chose these on my own but boy was I wrong and just to make clear, this is just my honest experience.
  9. Hi, as a newbie car owner, safety and dollar saving is my top priority. my current ride is 3yrs 2 mths, with mileage of 16k. tyres is made in 02/06, size 175/50/15 to my eyes, tyres seems fine, did a check with the mech. He too feels fine. only can see that i do some hard cornering at times. tyres yet to rotate. i understand and google a little, it seems there's no ground rules of tyres lifespan. knowing, over time, tyres will harden and become a hazard. my mthly regime of tyres maintaintence was to check they are proper balanced. 220 in front, 200 at rear as what the chasis stated. welcome views, thank you
  10. Hi guys I'm doing a little research for my next ride. Thinking of changing the rims and keeping the tires to maintain the comfort and cost down. The dimensions (gathered from internet) for the Forester FNA rims and tires are as follows: Tire 225/60R 17 Rim 7J x 17 ET48 PCD 5 x100 Center Bore 56.1mm Any recommendations or advice on the rims and shops? And what's the average cost per rim? Thanks a lot!

  13. Just wanna to share this video clip I come across. The tests was conducted by Auto-Zone from Taiwan sometime ago. They took 4 types of eco tyres - Michellin, Bridgestone, Yokohama Bluearth and Maxxis to test their grips on wet/dry conditions, brake effectiveness & fuel saving, etc. The end result Yokohama Bluearth AE50 is best among the other 3 - see attached result. See below the video clip last for 33 minutes and in mandarin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qff1Bt7hk6c
  14. I planning to upgrade my rim size to 19" ( frm 18 ) kana sot by the vossen cv3 chrome rim, getting the replica 1 as only replica avail in 19 and original 1 shld be kan pua expensive lol. Any recommended tyres for street driving with good wet grip? My prev car on 15/16" so popular tyres for me was toyo t1r etc, but fren told me big tyres mostly another level ( price also another level ) Was thinking to do "staggered" as car is RWD so behind put wider. heard mark X very prone to fishtail even when driving normal speed so hoping wider tyres can grip well.
  15. Usually when we talk about comfort tyres we focus on the noise level. Will premium comfort tyres like bridgestone gr100 improve on the bumpiness or harshness of the car compared to performance tyres. Assume the same tyres size, profile, tyre pressure, rim and car.
  16. hi all... this topic has been discussed before i'm sure... well lately i read tis article by NUS motoring club Mr. MAHINDRA... he said his tyres were pumped with nitrogen and that his tyre pressur was STILL THE SAME AFTER 10000KM... sure anot??? i understand Nitrogen in present in the air... so there will be nitrogen in our tyres even if we used a normal air pump... after awhile air will escape... in a matter of a few day as i have noticed.... but the nitrogen inside will still be there... so after say 20000km of driving and pumping once a week... the percentage of nitrogen WILL increase correct?... maybe if tyres last long enuf eventually will be mostly nitrogen in the tyres... haha anyways those of you who have nitrogen filled tyres... is it true 10000km still same tyre pressure??? if yes i am going to head off immediately to fill my tyres with nitrogen... keke...
  17. Time to change shoes for my ride... am using Michellin PP2 now... noise is on the high side.. often needa shout into bluetooth while on phone.... used Goodyear NCT5 b4 n din quite like e noise level too... happened to try out Yoko A.Drive when using courtesy car during car repair... e noise level is okay but heard Yoko tyres r not so good for wet gripping... is it true? cos was looking at ES500... S.Drive price slightly on e high side.. i try not to spend too much though, keeping budget under $500...... any advise?? thanks guys

  22. anybody know which place besides Autobacs that sells Pirelli tyres?? looking at the Dragon....thx
  23. I just wonder how do they managed to drive around in wet weather with bald tyres? I meant bald to the point where I can't see any threads near the edge of the tyre. On the center only left some faint looking lines. thread wear indicator very visible. Its almost like slicks already. Cause today just saw a car parked at my office there with such front tyres. I wonder how do they managed?

  25. Just in case you are thinking what the subject title is about... It's not a replacement for Viagra or some new Love Hotel. It's a brand of tyre from Spain. First time seeing this. More rare than China made Linglong or Double Coin tyres.
