All bros, Please drive slow along the portion of Upper Thomson road after the Bishan Park towards Thomson Plaza and also after Thomson Plaza towards Bishan park. There are speed trap almost every Sunday on the overhead bridge. Yup i frequent this road almost every day. FYI, above 70km will get summon already. SGD 130 and 4 demerits.

Saw this in the Zhao Bao while my dad is reading it. He commented that the drivers were probably racing each other on that quiet stretch of road. Dunno if it's true? The title reads 2 red "sports cars".... All got 4doors dunno can consider "sports car". And pls dun flame the cars ..... it's the drivers

Day : Sunday, 22-Mar-09 Time : about 7.20pm Location : next to CP Exit, on the left side. I was driving around looking for a parking lot when I turn left. There was already 2 infront of me, right infront of me was a red madza and infront of this was a champagne mercedez. I can see 2 seperate lots available, seperated by a few cars - not more than 5. I think the mercedez was about to start to move forward then reverse into the furthest lot which is only logical. There would not be a problem for the mazda to make his move to reverse into the lot nearer to him, infact it was at just about infront of him. After I managed to parked, I was able to ascertained between the 2 empty lots(which jas already been occupied by both the red mazda and the mercedez is 3 cars away. What I saw next, . The red mazda coming from behind mercedez right side, then cut infront on the left and stop in a diagonal position and proceed to reverse into the lot that was nearer to the mercedez. The mercedez gave a horn to warn of danger. The red madza front passenger gave a hand gesture to the mercedez that there is a empty parking lot behind. As the mercedez was reversing into that lot, the driver(male with a mascular body) and the passengers(2 female) came out after parking. The 2 female passengers were looking into the direction of the mercedez and laughing away. The mercedez was driven by a lady with a female passenger.

This happened this afternoon during lunch time to one of my colleagues. He was having lunch at a korean restaurant, Auntie Kim's. This stretch of shophouses is normally very busy during lunch time, with the numerous eating outlets, e.g. Kampung Chicken Rice, Dino Cake House, Auntie Kim's For those that are familiar with this place, they will know the parking is limited, right infront of the shops, in full view of the people eating lunch. When he return to his car, he discovered his window smashed, i nvr checked with him, whether its windscreen or side windows. His laptop bag, which included his laptop, passport, cheque book all gone. This probably happened in full view of many pple, 1 witness has came forward to said that it's a chinese guy who did it. Although, its his fault to leave his laptop bag exposed, but i dun believe, no one noticed a window being smashed and a bag taken away. So much for civil mindedness. The worst things is, when he when to repair his car at a workshop at amk, the workshop asked him whether did it happened at Upper Thomson, because many cars has came to him with the same problem ! So it's seasoned criminal at work ! So much for police work. For all those frequent there, including me, pls beware or keep a lookout for suspicious looking pple!!!!

Was driving home on the PIE earlier when I saw the electronic signboard saying "Accident after Thomson Road Lane 1 4 closed" True enough there was a fatal accident... a trashed motorbike was at the island markings on lane 4 (where the merging lane from a side road to the PIE was)... and a motionless body lying in a pool of blood was right in lane 1... ambulance and police were there. I counted 1 taxi on lane 1, and 2 taxis, 1 van and 1 private passenger car along the road shoulder on lane 4 slightly further up... Sian man... always accident accident... fatal accidents involving motorcyclists are the worst... especially in the wee hours of the morning like 2-3am! Somehow I have a feeling the accident was caused by the taxi on lane 1.... -
If some of the bros were there, you would ve seen how bad the jam was. Not too long ago, there was another telok jam along lornie road involving a corolla and a mit lancer (i think). Near the accident spot, traffic built up like siao. Everyone was either obediently waiting or trying to filter left right. When I drove pass the accident site.... I was like . The accident vehicles blocked out 2 lanes. Only one lane was free. Accidents are happening a bit too often. Sometimes, being considerate and giving way help to keep the accident rates low. Like a friend said, "Even if you are a minute faster, its not much faster. Might as well drive safe and be more considerate." Being impatient and hot headed only build up blood pressure.

Came out fromThomson Plaza at abt 10.45am saw a bad accident opp side involving 3 cars at a 'man-at-work' site causing a bad jam along Upp Thomson Rd towards city direction. Anyone got caught in the jam? Had wanted to U-turn at X but change to Marymount instead.

Just withness a very irresposible act by this Merc cab today at upper thomson..... Upper Thomson's traffic was quite heavy with all 3 lanes packed with slow moving vehicles this morning around 7plus. i was travelling at the 1st lane when i saw a BMW suddenly jam brake on the 2nd lane with its steering wheel turned slightly to the right to avoid something. Due to this sudden brake, a tomyam Altis collide onto the BMW's butt ahead of him.... Then, I saw a stationary white Merc cab with 2/3 of its vehicle in lane 1 and 1/3 of its vehicle's front on 2nd lane slightly ahead of BMW, pointing at 2 o'clock direction.Because lane 3 is slow, Quite obvious Merc want to switch lane and force his way out to 2nd lane, causing the BMW to jam brake and resulting into an accident. Shortly, the traffic starts to move and the Merc cab just speed off like nobody's business......... haizzzzzz really pity the suay jiao (unlucky bird)altis..... 1. Lane 1 slow. 2. Merc try to switch lane with little space 3. BMW Jam brake. 4. Altis kiss BMW 5. Merc cab sped off.(Irresponsible) 6. I've Merc's vehicle number ....kekekekeke

When u drive pass the thomson road (opp those far east flora nursary)on the direction toward the city, do you notice that there are at least 4 boxes (contain camera)mounted on the pole, each of the boxes aiming at 2 different direction. Is that a speed camera? any TP here to verify?

the ahsoh station at thomson road, opp the nurseries is now open. so hor, they dishing out bro-chor promoting item and inside hor got 4 pcs of $3 vulture. to be used for every the $40 u pump. this one hor, the discount is over and abv the ahsoh credit card hor + smile points. same same abit like the kortek station vulture inside the wheels magazine. so lemember to go collect ur vultures... good luck. smile
