JOHOR BARU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has announced that the Government has decided to implement the Vehicle Entry Permit fee for all foreign vehicles entering Johor. Najib said that the decision was made following a request made by the state. "I have discussed the matter with Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and have also informed Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Wahid Omar of our decision. "I have instructed him to inform the Road Transport Department (JPJ) so they can work out the details before the VEP is implemented," he said during a buka puasa event organised by the state Wednesday. "We will make an announcement later on the date of implementation and the rates for the VEP," he said. Najib also assured that a portion of the collection would be channelled to the state Government.

Sadly, two 'ah-bengs' and one of their 'zha-bor' simply couldn't understand this simple traffic rule and got into multiple confrontations with a lorry driver. Watch it here: What Happened? And boy, oh boy, did that honk shatter both their fragile ego. Compensating For Their Shattered Ego Both 'ah-bengs' immediately gestured at the lorry driver with their hands to signal to the lorry driver, "What's your problem?!" 'Ah-beng' #1 in the long pants, then threw a lit cigarette at the lorry, but it rebounded and hit him in the face. Meanwhile, ah-beng' #2 in shorts made an intimidating action of wanting to 'rush' towards the lorry, only to be held back by his 'zha-bor'. As the lorry drove down the road slowly, 'ah-beng' #1 continued walking alongside the lorry while shouting at the driver. Just then, he suddenly jumps and attempts to spit inside the lorry, only to lose his balance and fall ass-first onto the road. NGL, it is hilarious that he acts all tough but can't do something as simple as jumping without falling over. The lorry driver then proceeded to stop at the curbside and settle with those uncouth beings. Unfortunately, what happened afterwards remain unknown, as the video ends after the lorry driver opens his door. A Lesson To Learn A takeaway from this incident would be to get yourself a woman who stops you from doing stupid shit. Instead of stopping by the grass patch and checking for oncoming traffic, the man simply hops onto the road and attempts to illegally dash across the road. The Ultimate Black Sheep Of The Community This cyclist is the final evolution of cyclists, literally the worst type anyone can encounter. At 0:28, the cyclist blatantly disregarded his safety by 'chionging' out from a filter lane WITHOUT looking for oncoming traffic. At 1:50, the cyclist performed a sudden swerve in the last lane without checking for traffic, which could have caused a collision with the motorcyclist behind him. A gentleman, the eyewitness, informed her that the Toyota Corolla beside her reversed into her car twice while parking. Later, she learned that the kind eyewitness had waited in the carpark because a note that he placed on the Mini Cooper, which contained his personal contact information, had gone missing. Shortly after, the couple driving the Toyota Corolla, AKA the culprits, returned to the MSCP. After the Mini driver confronted them, the couple acted blur and brushed her off. The husband allegedly turned aggressive and shouted at the Mini driver, "I pay lah, what's the big deal? I pay!", only to be instructed by his wife to get into the car and ignore the Mini driver. Even when the Mini driver was on a call with the Traffic Police and instructed them to stay until TP arrived at their location, the couple ignored and attempted to drive off. Unfortunately for the couple, their attempt was caught in the above video. Attempted To Run Her Over In the process of preventing the couple from driving off, the Mini driver stood in front of the Toyota Corolla. However, the driver continued to drive off, endangering the victim's life. The keyed ignition switch is nearly a thing of the past. Today, even base-model economy cars are showing up with keyless push-button start. But it wasn’t so long ago that even top-end cars had traditional metal keys. One of the most recent examples is the Lexus LFA, an otherworldly supercar built from cutting-edge carbon fiber-reinforced polymer and powered by one of the best sounding engines in the history of the automobile. And yet, to start that V-10 engine, you have to twist an ignition switch with utterly humble roots. Welcome to The Parts Department, where we follow basic car components to their strangest destinations. Toyota part No. 84450-12200 is a keyed ignition switch that was nearly ubiquitous in the automaker’s North American products starting in the mid-Nineties. It first appeared in the dashboards of cars like the Tercel and Paseo before spreading to the rest of the Toyota and Lexus lineups over the next decade and a half. At its peak, this ignition switch was used in almost every Toyota and Lexus made in the early 2000s, before slowly dropping off as push-button ignitions were introduced. Around 2010, it seemed like the switch was done for good in the Lexus lineup. The only Lexus left that used 84450-12200 was the aging SC 430, which was cancelled after the 2010 model year. But then our humble ignition switch reappeared in 2011, in the dashboard of Lexus’s new performance halo, the LFA. The screaming supercar’s key may have been adorned with milled metal and carbon fiber, but it operated the same tumbler found in the lowly Tercel. The LFA’s ignition key and tumbler were dressed up with carbon fiber, but underneath was the same old part. - LEXUS No. 84450-12200 had a much longer life in the Toyota lineup, appearing in the 4Runner up until this year (SmartKey push-button starting finally becomes standard equipment on the SUV for 2022). The ignition switch also appeared in the Scion iQ, TC and xB from 2005 to 2016, when the brand folded. Our friendly ignition switch retails for $114.53 from Toyota and Lexus dealers, but online OEM discount stores typically sell it for just under $80. Thanks to the fact that it’s shared across so many Toyota and Lexus models, the switch is a popular item in the aftermarket, with nearly a dozen companies offering their own versions to fit. Built from 1985 to 2007, the cab-over-engine Townace, available as a van, pickup or cube truck, is about as far as you can get from the Lexus LFA supercar—which just goes to show that, even when Toyota was building an ultra-limited-production supercar with a mid-six-figure price tag, the company still relied on its extensive parts bin for reliable, mundane components. Toyota Townace Noah - TOYOTA Much like the manual transmission, traditional metal ignition keys are on their way out. The LFA may have been one of the last supercars with a conventional key-switch ignition. But coincidentally, Toyota was at the forefront of a recent revolution in ignition keys, as one of the first automakers to introduce laser-cut keys. This was one of many innovations that debuted on the 1990 Lexus LS 400, the car that launched the Lexus brand in North America. Toyota started slowly phasing out turn-key ignition in the United States in the mid-2000s. A push-button start switch appeared first on the 2004 Toyota Prius, then spread across the rest of the hybrid lineup. Today, Toyota’s start button is so widespread, it even appears in the company’s race cars: The Lexus RC F GT3 car that I work on as a pit crew member uses the same start button you’d see in a street-legal Lexus, and the Toyota GT86 TCA race car also has a production-style start button. At auto shows on two continents Wednesday, three automakers unveiled hydrogen fuel cell vehicles to be delivered to the general public as early as next spring. Hyundai Motor Co. will be the first to the mass market in the U.S. It unveiled a hydrogen-powered Tucson small SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show that will be leased to consumers. Honda also revealed plans in Los Angeles for a car due out in 2015. Earlier, at the Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota promised a mass-produced fuel cell car by 2015 in Japan and 2016 in the U.S. Hydrogen cars are appealing because unlike electric vehicles, they have the range of a typical gasoline car and can be refueled quickly. Experts say the industry also has overcome safety and reliability concerns that have hindered distribution in the past. But hydrogen cars still have a glaring downside — refueling stations are scarce, and costly to build. Consumers can expect costs in line with some luxury models. In Tokyo, Toyota promised a price of $50,000 to $100,000, and as close to the lower figure as possible. That’s comparable to its Lexus luxury sedans, but a range that makes the once space-age experiment with fuel cells more credible. Hyundai said it will lease the Tucsons for $499 per month for three years with $3,000 down. And Hyundai is offering to pay the hydrogen and maintenance costs. The company will start leasing in the Los Angeles area, where most of the state’s nine fueling stations are located. California lawmakers have allocated $100 million to build 100 more. Honda wouldn’t reveal any pricing details. Even as battery-powered and hybrid-electric cars took on conventional gasoline models in the past decade, automakers continued research into hydrogen fuel cells, said Paul Mutolo, director of external partnerships for the Cornell University Energy Materials Center. Manufacturers now are limited only by costs and the lack of filling stations, he said. Hydrogen cars, Mutolo said, have an advantage over battery-powered electric cars because drivers don’t have to worry about running out of electricity and having to wait hours for recharging. “It’s very similar to the kind of behavior that drivers have come to expect from their gasoline cars,” he said. Hydrogen fuel cells use a complex chemical process to separate electrons and protons in hydrogen gas molecules. The electrons move toward a positive pole, and the movement creates electricity. That powers a car’s electric motor, which turns the wheels. Since the hydrogen isn’t burned, there’s no pollution. Instead, oxygen also is pumped into the system, and when it meets the hydrogen ions and electrons, that creates water and heat. The only byproduct is water. A fuel cell produces only about one volt of electricity, so many are stacked to generate enough juice. The face was also a very important aspect for us. We wanted to keep the strong DNA of Toyota's SUV line-up but at the same time give Yaris Cross an identity of its own. At the rear, we again focused on giving the car a good stance with the wide fenders illustrating how it looks planted on its wheels. Combining the horizontal rear tail lamps and rear screen clearly shows family identity with Yaris, yet the wider and more squared tailgate hints at the luggage space's larger flexibility for daily usage. For the exterior colour, we started to think about something that could express an active and high-quality image that our target customers would really appreciate. Looking at future colour trends we can see that there is a growing tendency for gold and other precious metals, but we wanted to offer something a bit more natural and urban.
