Saw yesterday Straitimes that Honda Civic coming with 1.4L and 1.8L, if yes, might consider too, so basically, now have 4 cars in mind. 1) Toyota IST 2) Honda Jazz/Fit 3) New model Honda City 4) New model Honda Civic 1.4L if any.

Hi All MCF Bro & Sis, My 10,000 km servicing for Toyota Vios is up. Need some advice as to whether send my car to BM or use outside vendor and also is it necessary to use fully synthetic oil? Here's what BM quote me and the options i have. 1. $204 : labour+some parts replacement+Castro Fully Synthetic oil 2. $126: labour+some parts replacement+ purchase my own 4litre Fully Synthetic oil (any recommendation?) 3. $139: labour+some parts replacement+Castro Mineral oil Appreciate your advice. TIA!

Just looking at a domestic model list for Toyota, at last count 54 models Looks like their naming department is running out of ideas. I mean, how about: - Brevis (no Brutthead?) - Cami (-sole...) - Coaster (combine this with a 'Rolla and you get...) - Comfort (yes, that's a model name, not a spec level) - FunCargo (as opposed to BoredCargo?) - Himedic (suitable for ambulances I suppose) - Kluger (Fleddy would love this one) - Opa (sounds like something Greeks say before breaking plates) - Platz (along with the Vitz. S'poreans should lap these up. Next, Sianz and Hiaz...) - Probox (not amatuer, ok!) - Progres (better try spelling progress first) - Raum (I don't even know how to pronouce this. Rah-Oom???) It's no wonder the Germans stick to numbers...

Hi guys, I am a noob here, just want to know the pros and cons of the Toyota Vios 1.5L M/T and the Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6L M/T I haven't test drive the cars yet, so I don't really know the performance. But from what I can see in the showroom: Vios Pros: -Nicer interior, better looking upholstery -Better looking dashboard -Tachometer looks newer -Sporty looking -Front seats are height adjustable, backrest can adjust to fit the spine -Rear seats are higher -Car is lighter 970kg, thus assuming lower fuel consumption Cons -Interior less spacious -Car is shorter and narrower -No foldable rear seats -Smaller tyres -Smaller engine capacity of 1.5L -Sales engineer at Leng Kee not so friendly -Tachometer is in the center between front passenger and driver, ON TOP of the dashboard, may obstruct driver's view Lancer Pros: -Larger tyres -Tried and tested car -Car is longer and wider -Larger engine capacity of 1.6L -Interior more spacious -Foldable rear seats -Sales engineer more helpful -Tachometer is directly in front of the driver Cons -Interior and upholstery looks old, like those 80s or 90s cars -Tachometer looks like those taxis type -No frills interior -No mudguards, but the brochure said got mudguards -Front seats not height adjustable -Rear seats are lower -Car colours are limited (silver, blue, red, black) -Car is heavier about 1100kg, thus assuming higher fuel consumption Does anyone have any experience in owning or driving these 2 cars before? Or even if u have not, can u share ur experience? Particularly in terms of ENGINES and PERFORMANCE. Thanks a lot for ur feedback.

Toyota to recall 173,000 vehicles in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia TOKYO Faulty brake and fuel systems is forcing Toyota to recall about 173-thousand vehicles in Japan, Singapore and Malaysia. The Japanese automaker says it's aware of one accident in Japan that had been caused by a defect in the brake's master cylinders. A car was unable to stop and crashed into another vehicle in front of it. There were no injuries. Another defect is in a part called the O-ring in the fuel system.
