I parked my car at my MSCP this afternoon and noticed that a SMRT taxi with the engine running without the driver inside. I think the driver had gone home to take his lunch or pang sai. Is diesel free? Taxi companies say that they need to increase taxi fares becos of high operating costs and high diesel prices but I notice many taxi uncles like to leave their engine running.

Ehh uncle arr, next time use shortcut in MSCP make sure there's no car going else end up everyone horn u..

Quote Ah Sook writes to Ah Loong - home truths of the first order Dear Loong, I opened up the ST and saw the photo of Dr TT flanked by the CJ and yourself. I was really concerned at the expression on your face. You looked shell shocked and it was apparent that there were many things troubling you as you stood there, distracted as Dr TT took the oath of office. ST should really have chosen a better photo for their front page but they could have been focussed on their ex-Chairman who looks good in the photo. I imagine you must be thinking about the events of the GE and the PE. Such an unexpected swing of voter sentiments following a short recession, a quick recovery and the fastest growth rate in the world. To your credit, you responded quickly during the GE, even said sorry a few times, retired some ministers and changed your cabinet and promised a more enlightened and transparent government. You are right in calling for unity and for all Singaporeans to come together and to try to heal the various fault lines that have surfaced during these two elections. But have you identified the true fault lines? There is probably an army of people now pouring through the voting patterns of various sub constituencies, analysing the socio-economic background of these people who voted for and against the PAP in both the GE and PE, and trying to identify the reasons for the results. I was wondering whether it was the PAP that first divided Singaporeans into two classes - those that voted for the PAP and those against. The lesser Singaporeans pay the same taxes and did their NS (just like Dr TT

Today i sat in my Uncle's taxi and we began to have a small conversation..... Because i am still a P Plate so he share with me more about some issues on road... I couldn't remember the whole conversation but roughly some of the conversation: If the road limit is 70km/h, you will be save so long as you driving under 80km/h, If the road limit is 80km/h, you will be save so long as you are driving under 90km/h, If the road limit is 90km/h, you will be save so long as you are driving under 100km/h..... In those cases, he also mentioned that this theory also applies to even speed catching cameras...... If that is the case, i am wondering why the LTA didn't set a proper standard speed limit in the first place?

Yesterday evening, I was on the right most lane queueing to turn right. Then tis Mit Colt driven by a late 40s guy cut into my lane adruptly, w/o signal lights also. His rear quarter made contact wif my front left bumper. I was seating in my car waiting for him to alight from his vehicle to exchange details and examine damage. But he did not, instead he acted blur and stayed in his car. When green light, the front cars start moving, I moved forward and cut into his lane diagonally to prevent him from escaping. Only then he alight and told me to move to the side of the road to discuss further. We turned right and stopped at the side of the road to exchange particulars and examine the damage. After exchanging particulars, he accused me of knocking into him!!! Wat rubbish!!! And said I should pay him for his car damage. I told him that it was he who cut into my lane and knocked into me not the other way round. I also pointed to him I had a car camera onboard and think carefully b4 throwing accusations. He told me to show him the video, I told him I am not obligated to show it to him but to my insurance company only. I gave him one last chance, either private settlement or insurance settlement. He still insist I knocked into him. We cannot come to an agreement and we left. I called my insurance(MSIG) and they advised me to make a report today and submit all my pictures and video evidence. The other guy is Income insured. My fren and wife viewed the footage and confirmed clear cut case, he knocked into me and I did not change lane at all. I have the footage in hand but will not post up the web, in case he find it. What kind of ridiculous claim will I expect from this idiot??? If I can polish off the scratches, I may not want to file a claim but I am afraid of him claiming against me. I'm on 50% NCD.

Lee Kok Leong tio fine $1200 for putting Super Glue into people's padlock, still can say fine is fine only, cheap cheap what. Sibei kwailan hor... http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNew...ory_366869.html April 22, 2009 Laguna Park case Fined but not sorry By Elena Chong & Kimberly Spykerman FOR his acts of mischief in Laguna Park condominium, Lee Kok Leong, 62, former chairman of its management committee, was fined $1,200. Arms folded as he sat in the dock yesterday, he told reporters: 'Fine, then fine lah. After all, I can afford it. I can spend $4,000 in one night on karaoke.' The general manager of a shipping company was so sure he would not be jailed that he had made plans to go to his office in Bukit Merah later in the day. Earlier, he had pleaded guilty to inserting super glue into the keyholes of the padlock, front and rear gates of Mr Yap Cher Sim's flat at Block 5000E on Aug 25 last year. For that, he was fined $800. That same day, he did the same thing to another flat in the same block, belonging to Ms Alice Elizabeth Rappa. That resulted in another $400 fine. The Community Court heard that he had been caught in the act by the closed-circuit television camera installed by Mr Yap along the common corridor. Lee later told police he had bought two tubes of super glue a day earlier with the aim of damaging Mr Yap's unit. Someone had done the same super glue stunt to his own letterbox earlier, he claimed. The acts of vandalism in the Marine Parade condominium came to light last July amid a row which erupted among residents over whether the condominium should be sold en bloc. Lee has paid for the damage he caused to his neighbours' property, amounting to about $600. But no, he had not apologised to them, he told reporters. And no, he had no regrets about what he had done. 'What's there to regret? What's done is done. I am not remorseful.' From phone book: Lee Kok Leong 5000E Marine Parade Road #07-18 Laguna Park Singapore 449288 Tel 64447331 Do let Mr Leong the former chairman of the MC know how you feel.

was on the ecp towards aye in the afternoon when this blue comfort taxi was hogging lane 1 at 85, never mind.. when i try to cut to lane 2 to overtake you, you suddenly decide you didn't want to road hog anymore and try to accelerate to cut me off? i laugh at your antique crown engine revving so hard to cut me off, and i did not even need to drop gear nor tap my peak boost to overtake you.. uncle, maybe next time you upgrade to a sonata then come and try again lah, learn your lesson and think twice about trying to piss of turbo AWD drivers.. you are lucky i never decide to let you eat my endless because i saw your taxi sign is HIRED.. i dont want to give you face i also give face to your passenger.

Drove to a washing bay, beside me was an uncle preparing to wash his Hyundai Matrix. Didn't pay much attention and going about washing my ride when a familiar smell hit me! Dettol smell! Realized uncle mix Dettol into a pail of water. That's the first time I see someone use Dettol leh. Wouldn't it hurt the paint work? But of course, it will leave a sanitized scent on your car.

Just dropped off my wife at Dover MRT station and was on my way home... Was driving along Commonwealth Ave West and turning into Clementi Road toward Bukit Timah... I was on the 2nd straight / turning lane with the turn right only lane to my right... As I made the turn into Clementi Road into the 2nd lane, I saw this Tuscon only inches away from me from my side mirror and this axxhole gave me a honk right in my face as if I was eating into his lane... I assume that he was in the right turn only lane and thought that I would take up the 3rd lane after I made the turn... But he thought wrong... KNN... What the fark is wrong with you uncle??!! That uncle even played the braking game with me... I really didn't want to spoil my day and just drove off... What an idiot...
