hi pals.... my frd is being offered a mini cooper auto registered on may 2002. original price is 113k, now offer 90k OMV at 28k (at 80%), COE - 33k color: yellow with black top.. not sure abt the mileage and details of previous owner tho any bros/sis into mini can share abit on the above ride ?

considering a Subaru Impreza 1.6 TS manual now... less than 2 yrs old, low mileage... was calculating the paper value (PARF + COE rebate??) of the car, which comes up to around $40k at this point... so going by that, if i were to pay around $58-60k for the car, is that considered too much of a premium to pay on top of the paper value? or am i missing some elements here that contribute to the car's market value? sorry, newbie at this.. appreciate any help from the lao jiaos here -
Anyone used b4 conoco HydroClear Engine oil? How good is the oil?? anyone kind enough to share the experiences? or any bad experiences or have any knowledge about this new product?

My prev Saab 95 2002 has been sold but I have a few pieces of salvageable parts lying around which came out of an insurance claim for a freak accident. These parts are from my cracked left side view mirror, (mirror gone but the diecast structure, motors and internal rubber covering are intact), and 3 pieces of metal/plastic left side body door/bumper 'rims'. Anyone wants them have to come collect yourself from my house in Bedok area.

I know I have gotten used to the reverse parking sensors on my car now. Why ? Because I drove my brother-in-law's car a week back and almost reversed it into my neighbour's nice Nissan Sunny. (There was no beeping sound. Ah ! No sensors.) This is really hazardous. I have to keep telling myself "Check the rear, check the rear.". In the past it was the confusion when driving an automatic car and another one with a manual gearshift. I kept stepping on the non-existent clutch in the auto car.

After months of trying to decide between used SAAB 95, Volvo S80 vs new Camry 2.4, and months of showroom visits, newspaper poring, online checking and what nots,I have finally plonked down a deposit for a used S80 2.0T today. Perhaps it was my imagination but I tot the S80 is a tad noisier than the SAAB 95?. Is this true? Anyway, this car has 24k mileage on it (how come we don't say kilometerage?) and still has 2 mths warranty on it and the purchase is subject to STA check. I worked out the depn to be just below $10k per yr, better than the new Camry!. Probably can get the car in a few days time....Any advice fellow MCFers can give b4 car handover, ie things to checked for etc.

Hi there, I had this ignoring experience in my car, whenever I use my handphone (of course, when my car is stationary ) or whenever I receive a call. Does anyone have this experience before? If do, any remedy to it? Some say grounding of vehicle helps, other say that cables behind the audio system loose, other says that the laying of the cables plays an important roles. Any comments?
