Yeah yeah yeah . . . I'm an internet hero you might say but confrontation with this guy will not resolve my problem I tell you. Firstly, this unker is in his early fifties and he was a taxi loh before . . . (I presume he will always think he is right . . . you know that kind of "king of the road" attitude, well I may be wrong). Just for your info that such people exists. So here goes . . . Remember the thread "Your grandfather's road" or something like that, I posted my earlier encounter with this guy. He was talking to another taxi loh who had actually parked his taxi right in the middle of the road in the carpark, they were chatting away when I first approached them from behind in my car . . .waited 20-30 secs (for courtesy sake I guess) unker saw me but chose to continue yakking away, if the other guy had stopped at the side I would have drove through but he was plonked right in the middle. Honk the bugger, no response, continued talking for another 10-15 secs . . . taxi drove off at a snail's pace and the unker was glaring at me when I drove up "Si mi dai ji, want to talk go kopi tiam lar kopi don't block the road lah" I told him . . no reply and unker was staring daggers into me. Seow lang! Today, he was with 2 taxi lohs at the carpark talking. Unker macaam lao char bor, so much things to talk about. I happened to look out the window when I saw him motioned to his 2 companions, "hee jiat hee jiat" he pointed to my car "ang pai hee jiat". KNN . . I was thinking, come vandalise my car if you dare, I have my CCTV on 24/7 . . . "SI MI DAI JI?" I boomed in his direction and waved my arm at him . . . he looked up and realised that his action was spotted by me . . he looked away and keh seow, pointing in all directions and blabbing away. WTH! Want to jip seow keng liao si boh? This guy had been caught by me many times doing weird things . . . waving at my CCTV when he parks beside my car, I happend to be near the window once and immediately look down at him and started to wave back. This is the guy who likes to put his shopping on other people's car boot, flower pots and all kinds of stuff. This is the guy who likes to set off his car alarm late late at night when he comes home. What a lovable guy!! I know I also a bit GL and for that I apologise. Hee hee! Say all you want . . . I'm out of here!

Just to point out that if you have a very high mileage or a very old car (200K or higher), you may want to take note of the engine oil for your car. If you are using current API:SM oils, it may not have enough Zinc in the oil to provide enough protection for the engine internals. This is because Zinc or ZDDP was significantly reduced in SM oils in order to prevent it from damaging the catalytic converter. This affects new cars since all cars comes with cat now and you wouldn't want them to be damaged. ZDDP is also not crucial for new engines since the tolerances are already very good. Thus you may want to either use API:SL oils which has higher amt of ZDDP inside or use ZDDP additives like STP oil treatment to ensure sufficent zinc and thus sufficient protection. Its important because we are talking about the entire engine here, not just the pistons and cylinder walls. Evne your camshafts and tappets get worn out over time and needs protection.

i went to alpine-asia.com/singapore and found Wo Kee Hong is distributor, then from there, its list of dealers. All dealers don't carry IDA-X305 stock. even though ida-x305 MSRP is US$350, websites from USA, AU, HK, etc put it at around US$220-250. That is about S$350. one dealer quote me ridiculous price, i can see he wants to make 42% profit. one dealer, even though listed as authorized dealer, quote me for an export set. I say eh?, I want warranty set, she say don't have. one dealer, call his supplier. cannot reach, so can't quote me. instead he push me his Kenwood and Sony. also stress that market wants cheap ($1xx, $2xx) 1DIN and expensive ($700 & up) 2DIN LCD (can play DVD kind), no one wants a not-cheap 1DIN HU. three or four dealers say dun carry stock, need to check with supplier for pricing. they never follow through. i am so tempted to call up Wo Kee Hong, and ask wth is going on.

Hi, I hardly watched TV drama but somehow joined in the fun in this festive season. I was 'urghhh' by the recent TV series: Your Hand In Mine..... Its OK to bring back those 'no-so-funny' phrases like 'tak bolek tahan', or "chee dan chao yah dan" . . . . Its also OK to have Celest to show-off her shoulder & long legs by wearing bare tops, short skirt & tight uniform, as a teacher . . . . . But its NOT OK for a teacher to challenge a student for a physical fight just to bet with him not to go for LAN games (last night's). I'm sure those whom in the education industry will agree. This message, from a 7pm family TV series, from Mediacorp is getting very very irresponsible & ridiculous . . . . . sigh

Nearly got involved in a chain accident along PIE (towards Tuas) between Eunos and Paya Lebar around 4 plus this afternoon. I was on lane 1. Travelling near 100 kph when the cab in front suddenly swerved left to lane 2. Saw car in front of cab jam brake, I followed suit and jam brake and just managed to stop in time. Can hear the ABS working (klak klak klak). A Vios behind me jam brake and swerved into lane 2 and the car behind it (Silver MPV) jam brake too. Saw a blue Comfort bang into rear of MPV - very unnerving sound. Hope everyone ok back there. Moral of the story - Safety distance and stay alert.

Dear friends. I was driving along today at science park and one white X5 thinks his German Brand is powerful and decided to play with my humble 2.0LR subaru... But I kind of overtook him in 200-300 meters. The X5 although revving hard. it was clumsy and couldn't handle bends and humps.. I was surprised.. and after checking online i realise the power to weight is 111 ..very low.. To the white X5 today, I think your car cannot go fast .. more for off road. thanks
