  1. Hi guys ... Is it possible to swap a non multi function steering wheel to one with multi function type.. from this type of steering wheel : http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=735685&DL=1000 to use this type of steering wheel https://www.ebay.com/itm/232115494956?ul_noapp=true
  2. I drive a honda ridgeline pickup truck and my wife drive a honda civic. I've been looking for a decent jumpstarter that would be powerful enough for both of our vehicles. Rather then having 2 various models it just seemed easier to get two identical units. After reading reviews on several various jump-starters I opted for this model. Now the most negative thing I could find about this thing was it lacked a flat charger so you couldn't leave it plugged in. For me that's not even a factor, after all I bought this to charge it and then put it in the trunk of my wifes car and in the cargo area of my truck. I don't intend on leaving this plugged in. So if you plan on using this HOW IT IS DESIGNED then you too don't even need to worry about the lack of a float charger. That being said, the unit itself is a bit heavy, imagine picking up really big battery, that's essentially what this is. It has some weight to it. The jumpstarter itself also features an interesting little light that pivots as well as an air compressor. I've heard/read back reviews on the air compressor, for me it's not why I bought it. But initial checks it looks like it works fine and even has somewhere to store the air hose which is really nice. The one negative I have on this thing is the power switch for the air compressor is on the back and is not protected. In other words it could in theory be flipped on and drain the battery. So when you need to jump your car the starter would be dead. I wish they put a cover or moved the switch but honestly it would take a perfect mistake for that to get turned on so it's really not that critical. To prevent this from potentially happening I actually went down to Target and bought 2 milk crates, one for me and one for my wife. I put a jump starter, first aid kit, oil, etc in the crate so it's essentially the roadside emergency crate and also protects the jumpstarter from getting knocked around and/or turned on. Overall I spent $140 total on 2 of these and I'm really happy with the quality. They charge overnight easily, the indicator lights show you the charge remaining on the battery and it has power ports for 12volt and USB which is an added bonus. If you need a jumpstarter I would definitely consider this one.

  11. Dear all, Wanted to share my experience with Pure Drive located at Harvest at Woodlands. Messaged one of the chaps regarding pricing for a 4 wheel alignment but no reply,so I proceeded to call and ask. Voice on the other line said SGD80, and will take about half an hour to complete. So I went down, since I am around that area that day. When I was there, the technician ramped up my car, did some checks, and when my car was up there, he the proceeded to tell me that he has to 'charge extra SGD40 because I requested to change caster. SGD80 is adjustment for toe only'. Also claimed that his price is one of the lowest around, standard pricing. Since I was there and was out of touch with alignment prices (last alignment was done 3 years ago), I agreed. Workmanship was ok (I mean, what do you expect, it's a standard Hunter machine - a dummy can operate that user-friendly interface). However technician had a lot to say about how difficult it might be to get an exact alignment - because the 'alignment bushing might be worn'. In the end technician managed to adjust the three STANDARD alignment settings - took about an hour from start to finish. After alignment done, out of curiosity I googled alignment prices, and found Kenny's number. I then remembered that Kenny was the expert in alignment around here, and HE was the one who did my alignment 3 years back. But prices posted online were around SGD 50 to 80. I then sms-ed Kenny to just enquire how much he charges for 4 wheel alignment. Reply came back 5 mins later: SGD80. So in summary folks: Do your research BEFORE you commit to any workshop. When it comes to alignment, very hard to beat Kenny's price (and expertise).

  20. So I had a wheel alignment issue where the car was drifting to the left. Decided to send it in for wheel alignment and all was well after that. But noticed a new issue where I was travelling at speeds of about 95 to 100kmh where the steering wheel was vibrating rather strongly. It starts to vibrate at speeds from about 80 onwards. Vibration is most strongly felt at about 100kmh where I can see my watch vibrating. Proceeded to do high speed wheel balancing where all 4 wheels/tires were done but seems like no difference. Any idea what else is wrong? Didn't get any vibration before wheel alignment.
  21. My Kia cerato is giving a humming sound whenever the steering wheel turns, sound like hmmmm. Changed power steering fluid but the noise persists, no leakage no CEL. The power steering is hydraulic, no problem with turning, and can hear the fluid flowing sounds too. What could be the issue?
  22. Hi bros, recently i've experienced some noise when doing u-turn or at roundabouts or doing turning left/right. Slight turns are fine with no noise. The noise seems to come from the wheel area and there is this sound of squashing plastic bags. I've visually inspected and there is nothing stuck to the wheels but the noise persists. Anyone has any idea what's going on so I can send the car to the right kinda workshop to check?
  23. Driving a FD1 2007 make. Think might be having wheel bearing problem as sounds get louder when accelerates. Any workshop to recommend to fix the problem?
  24. Hi All, My steering is shaking badly when i'm driving even when i'm driving at 40km/h. Can this problem be resolve with just wheel balancing?
