  1. First time post in here. Sorry if I start repeating some discussion again Read so much about car grooming in few forums, of course everyone having different opinions So far heard about those mobile ones like D&J, AA etc, so anyone really tried and what's the feedback? Charging between $60-80 for these. Not sure which brand is D&J using for polish , but seems popular among some forumers AA is using Meguire as mention in the forums. So anyone really tried them and wat's the feedback on the quality & work of these guys? Any difference compared those in shopping center's carpark? Also heard a lot abt Zaino's shop and Groomworks So I'm really trying to decide which one to go to BTW mine s a one mth old black babe. Fellow bros advice is very much appreciated & thanks a lot
  2. There are 2 types of Amsoil oil. So which Amsoil engine oil for Honda Odyssey.
  3. Eventually I wanna install a DVD I.C.E., but a lot of people told me no point to have DVD I.C.E., so I decided to go for MD HU & CD Changer. Anyone can recommend me 1 nice set. Thank you very much ....
  4. Eyke

    Which shop?

which shop (must use torque wrench ones) gives the best price for the following: * Trade in new original Honda Fit 1.5T 14x5.5JJ ET45 rims * For 15x6.5 SSR Type-C or Volk TE37 * With 195/50r15 Kumho 712 1. SSR Type-C or Volk TE37 better? 2. Any other strong but less-than-4kg rims to recommend? thanks
  5. Dear All, As you know currently Sonata is selling @ $82,888 (2.28% interest rate) with immediate registration so seriously considering buying one soon. Therefore I call up 2 dealers and asked for their quotation and as both of them offered something different, I was rather confused by which dealers I should purchase my car from. Below is some of the information which they have quoted me which include trade-in my due-to-be scrapped car. Would kindly appreciate any feedbacks from all the Bros here.... Dealer 1 (Authorized Dealer) Provided me with 3 options :- Option 1 : Cash Rebate of $788 Option 2 : 15" inches Sport Rims (~$400 ??) + Reverse Sensor (~$200 ??) Option 3 : Leather Seat (need to top-up $750 more ) Scrapping of my car would be free, but I would need to send in my car a few days (4 to 5 days) before. Urrrgh... without car for so many days, plus not sure whether there would be any delays... Dealer 2 (Agent) Well, this guy is cool... no options.. Straight away offer me rebate of $400 to purchase the 15" inches Sport Rims (~$400 ??) or subsidize the Leather Seat (~$1250 ??). But they allow back-to-back for scrapping of my car, which means that drive my old car to collect my new car and then they would scrap the old car... Okay, after these would be my priorities... 1) Leather Seat (Think a luxury car should have original leather seat right ???) 2) Sport Rims (Looks nicer, at least the rim covers would not be stolen ) 3) Reverse Sensor (Could cause a lot of money if reverse into a wall or hidden obstacles, but should be able to install it cheaper outside right?)
  6. Hi guys just some opinions on these seats....
  7. Hi I'm using stock Kenwood HU with 10-disc changer. Would like to change to a MP3 HU. Was advice to change to a Kenwood MP3 HU so that I can use back the changer. Any advice to that? Also for Kenwood MP3 HU, which ones are available in Singapore and which ones are good? Thanks in advance!
  8. The Asstrek Turbo R comes with either 17-inch Enkie Bortex or Oz Crono Evo... both weight about 7.8kg and 7.9kg respectively when i checked them using a weighing machine ........ prices are about $320-350 per pcs..... (both cast alloy only) i was at Stamford Tyres this morning: if i pay about $600+-, i think i should be able to get forged light wt rims eg about 6kg per rim..... an upgrade of about $1000 extra for 4 rims..... question is: is it worth the extra $$$$ to go for the light wt rims???... ie in real performance terms, what would i gain??.... more responsive steering?? .... marginally better acceleration time??..... i also figure that, if i dun go for the latest rim designs (ie accepting say designs which are abit dated), i still can have light wt rims but save $$$$ as they usually are on special offer...... i am looking for benefits in performance, looks are not that important as long as it's decent....... what do you think???..... thanks
  9. I only tried a few so far, as yet to try synthetic wax. I know MEguair, Armorall, Turtle, EagleF1 are all carnauba. What about those Japanese brands, like Soft99. Are they synthetic or carnauba? I hella got no idea...at most grasp some chinese characters here and there....

  11. Went to Zoom yesterday and spoke to Geoff. Great guy. I am going to do up my system with him. Trying to decide which amp to use. He suggested the CDTs Eurosports for the front (which I will be using). Now I am trying to consider which amp for the speakers. Several candidates:- 1. Autotek 300.2 2. Autotek 550.2 3. Precision Power 440 4. Precision Power 480 5. Genesis Dual mono (really top of the line). Hoping to hear the Dual mono tomorrow but not sure if the price is something I would pay for. I am inclined to go for either 2 or 4. Any suggestions? Also, what amp to drive a 10" kicker sub? Can some kind soul help me to put this up at the ice forum? Can't seem to make any postings there yet. Thanks in advance.
  12. i itchy hand go and play around the amplifier and now the sound go haywire. any bro here can recommend a shop that can help to tune and at the same time teach me the works ? (just in case i feel itchy again ) [angelic]
  13. I didn't know that this design came about in 1992, so what took them so long to make the S80 a reality ( 6 years ) and subsequently borrowed the design for the S60. From Volvo Spy This car is the so named Volvo Environmental Concept Car. In is the award winning environment car of 1992 (English award) Quote: It is a good combination of new technologie and good practical environment technicsand also a very good family car. This car has a hybride engine (electric and GPL). The GPL engine fills the accu while driving. When the cars uses his electric motor, it doesn't use the exhaust, It is so clean at that time that it fits in the Californian rules (ZEV Zero emission Vehicle) On the freeway the emission is lower than the haviest rules (ULEV Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) The engine uses less than 1 liter fuel in 19 km. While driving the engine constantly makes 9000 rounds per minute (optimal Fuel burning)There are only turning parts used in the engine, nothing goes up and down, this reduces the engine sound. The car has a 2 traps automatic transmission, accalerates from 0 to 100 in 13 seconds has a top speed of 175 km pro hour Durability of accu : between 85 and 146 km . The body is aerodynamic it has a CW of 0,23. The design of the Volvo S80 was based on this car.

  15. Recently I just realised (from Gran Turismo 2) that the original S13 looks like a BlueBird coupe! The 200SX/S13 we commonly see here is actually the Sil 180SX? Anyone can clear up this confusion?
