  1. Start by removing the Centre Console, refer to - Removing Matrix's Centre Console http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Asian_Make...ics%29_P2324088 Tools required is a Phillips Screw Driver and a piece of cloth, After having removed the centre console, take a piece of cloth and insert below the Cluster Panel as shown, push the ODO Switch upwards to remove, you'll need to push hard initially cos it quite tight if you are removing it for the 1st time Bottom view of the ODO switch After pushing out the ODO switch, remove the connector Next remove the Phillips screw, do not remove all the way, leave a little and use your fingers to turn the remaining few turns, be careful not to drop the screw, i dropped mine and is forever lost somewhere in the cabin, Next use both hands and hold the cluster and pull it off, (picture show left hand cos right hand holding camera to take picture) Picture of the cluster removed Next remove the 2 Phillips screw on the right side of the panel Remove the 3rd screw on the left Next turn the instrument panel over and remove the connector switch Picture of cluster and instrument panel completely removed Back view of instrument panel (pre-FL version using 3xT10 and 4xT5 bulbs, FL version is using 8xT5 bulbs) Bottom view of instrument cluster Bottom view of ODO switch, arrows show the 3 screws, which you may want to remove to turn/invert the metal spring, for easy future removal of the cluster panel without having to remove the centre console. Installation is the reverse of the above steps.... Happy DIYing...

  7. when i bought my car, i bought the keyless version coz i tink its a new technology n interesting to have.. After using it for a while, this is wad i tink:- pros:- when taking alot of stuff, dunit to find my key, juz poke any finger in n door open. eehh... nothing else i can tink of.. cons:- 1k more den the normal version only given one keyless key.. (the other one is juz a key, dun even have remote control) expensive to duplicate, abt $500-$700.... imagine if i lost my key... heavy damage when i lock my door, by pressing the button, i cant double confirm it's locked, coz once my fingers is in, the door open, so have to chk the back door (make me feel like ah gong) i feel i have pay more to have more trouble.. haiz..
  8. Bought the above charger from Giant yesterday evening. This morning, plugged into the cigarette lighter socket, on the engine, then proceeded to plug in video cam usb and mobile phone usb (mobile phone not connected at the other end yet). The cigarette socket is still free. Within 5 sec, heard a slight piak and a little smoke emitted from one of the usb. Knn, burnt liao. Cost about $14 down the drain. Thought I found the charger with my desired config (2 USB + one cigarette lighter socket), now I am back to square one. This type of thing dunno can get refund from Giant or not.
  9. Do you guys have experience with EPS Power Charger? Many shops selling them these days. i installed one of this in march this year because I was "convinced" that it could help to increase CCA - dealer show the reading after the installation. However, my car battery die on me twice since then. First time was one wk after the install and second time today. I am now having second thoughts with this "Power Charger" thing, my previous battery was 10 months old when it die and second one is barely 4 months old when it was changed today. Luckily, both were changed under warranty. Both batteries were Amaron maintenance free and I thought this is a reliable brand, so it is unlikely that i had two Amaron die on me within a year. Not sure whether the "power charger" is causing the damage to the battery.
  10. I need to order some basketball jersey (Jerseys & shorts) from Guangzhou China, but was told by the china supplier that the freight fee will be USD70 just for 14sets of jerseys set. I engaged a china courier company to help me with the importing but was rejected by the custom, reason being told that the jerseys has "logo" meaning it's a local brand, so only their engaged courier company " EMS Express" can send the jerseys to me without any issues. So i would like to seek advise from any experts out there able to recommend me a courier company that i can engage to import in the so call "local brand" jerseys without any problem and of cause to see if there's any ways to reduce the freight fee.Thanks.
  11. Took a road trip recently, here are some pics........ if its true that a picture tells a thousand words, these pics may be under performing.. but who cares, here goes..... early morning, all 'fall-in' and smelled each other 'fresh' breath, but we suspect few were rushing for time, forgot to brush their teeth (joking)
  12. Just wanna share my experience ... About 2 months ago went to a tyre shop @ First Centre to change a set of tyres. Skip the brand & model part, price was slightly lower than tyrepac, which I am still ok. They bad mouth the famous shop at amk industrial park 1 blar blar blar, and say they provide after sales service (free patching, free rotation, etc) lah lah lah ... Suay suay last night punctured one tyre. Today went to them ask for replacement. I did not expect it to be as cheap as when I purchased 4 pcs, but the price they quote was horrible ($65 more), giving all the lame excuses etc. The boss even say if someone offer that price please go with them. I told him off so much of his after-sales service and went off. Went over the other end of the stretch and asked for quotation, price is $15 more than when I purchased 4 pcs ... fine with price and satisfied with service. Maybe tyre shops think how soon can a owner return to change tyre ? so they don't bother about keeping customers. But for the latter shop, I am impressed, and they will get a potential customer. I will go back to them when I need tyre replacement. I know getting 1 pc definitely will cost more than 4 pcs, fine .. but not to that cut-throat extent. All the bullsh*t about after-sales service, I know those are non-promises, but they are as good/bad as the famous tyre shop in amk park 1. And I know it's willing buyer/seller's world, so I am cool to walk off and let my hard earn money (though not much) earned by some other who deserves it more. Just wanna share my experience ... Thanks
  13. i think this is the most sickening news i've heard in singapore.... 7 years is a fair sentence.
  14. Targets:- kopitiam, food courts, hawker centers, shopping centers, etc. after so many campaigns, and collecting fees, have you come across any clean ones? A few hawker centers have "relatively" clean ones, eg serangoon gdn new food centre, thiong bahru HC, but any more? Maybe also tells us which ones to avoid? I remember pub toilets in even Taipei, no need to say Japan, are cleaner.... Same crowded city, same Asian users, but the conditions in these toilets are cleaner than ours. They can aim better, and their wee wee less smelly? Most smelly+dirty toilets:- 1 2 3 Most clean toilets:- 1 2 3

  17. A few days back I had a registered article being sent to me via singpost. So i called in on the friday evening at roughly 4pm and was told item was out for delivery with courier should arrive anytime before 6. So i sent a family member to wait at the door in case the courier arrived with the door open. Waited and waited but courier never came. I later checked the letterbox downstairs and found the registered article slip. This meant the lazy courier didnt even bother coming up and just chose to throw the slip into the letterbox. Standard practice to prove that they did come up to deliver at your door is by slipping under your door step. Not in your letterbox. I understand that this has occured to many and not myself and there are many complaints made but no action has been taken by singpost. In the end i had to go down to the post office the next day which was already overwhelmed with people and orders. Poor counter aunty had to do so much more work because of a lazy courier. Imagine this multiplied by so many cases.

  20. Having trouble with Isuzu diesel engine with euro 5 std exhaust emission. To keep exhaust emission clean, the DPF filters out exhaust. But theis DPF need to regenerate bpwith high temperate to burn off the dirty soot. Now the regen function cannot cut in. Check engine and regen light activtaed on oinstrument panel. This is the down side with euro spec diesel unit. Some uses DPF some uses Ad-blue (ammonia related) But is there any one with similar experience with diesel engine exhaust DPF filters?
  21. The group of us shop owners have been parking our vehicles at the end of the road for the longest time. Clearly, we did not infringe any continous white line, nor are there any double yeloow lines in the area. Even when LTA enforcement officers came to book other errand drivers did not booked us, as according to them, there was nothing wrong with us parking that way ( we did asked them on several occasions). However recently some idiotic CISCO (based on the summons) started to issue summons on the vehicles, with lame reasons "parking in a manner that obstruct other road users", and "not parking in a manner parallel to the road". KNN WTF. Lim bei park neatly at the end of the road without blocking any entrances, obstruct what f%^#? I did not wait for the summon letter, and immediately wrote emails complaining the double standards and question them if these CISCO people are well versed with highway code anot. Let's see what they say.
  22. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...mber_plate.html 2 different cars spotted with exactly the same number plate How is it possible that two different cars have exactly the same number plate, a STOMPer asks after spotting these vehicles parked side-by-side in her condominium carpark. This should not be possible both legally and logically, she says. The sender says: "This morning, I saw two different make cars bearing the same number plates parked in my estate. "Logically there shouldn't be two cars with exactly matching number plates. "They were parked inside our condominium's surface carpark lots so they should not be residents in our estate". ---------------------- Pending transfer of licence plates?
