  1. Source: http://news.omy.sg/News/Local%2BNews/Story...605-286689.html An old woman was run over by a bus this morning at Yishun. The horrific accident saw the bus run over the head of Mdm Huang Shu Hong (age 60), killing her on the spot. According to witnesses, an SMRT bus 858 was turning right at the junction when it somehow hit Mdm Huang. The bus driver was said to have escaped from the scene after the accident, which happened at about 9.20am at the junction of Yishun Ave 2 and Yishun Central 1. Reporters managed to contact the bus driver, who had apparently escaped back to Malaysia. The man explained that he had been working in Singapore for two years and has never encountered something like this. He said, "I was very scared at the time, my head was a blank and I only thought to get away. I'm coming back to give myself up now." When reporters arrived at the scene of the accident, a large pool of blood, locks of hair and a pair of crushed spectacles were seen lying on the road amidst scattered vegetables and joss sticks. Mdm Huang is believed to have been returning home from the nearby market when she was hit by the bus. Mdm Huang's husband also arrived shortly after he was informed of the accident by a neighbour. The man broke down upon seeing his wife's remains on the road.

  4. Pyschopath on the loose? Folks staying in Yishun, watchout. Suay for these owners.... http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg..._in_yishun.html Serial Vandal Loose in Yishun: 10th Car Smashed The windscreen of STOMPer Clare's car was smashed on Sunday (Mar 13), making it the tenth car in the Yishun Street 22 carpark to be vandalised, the STOMPer claims. The STOMPer reported: "My car got smashed on the windscreen twice yesterday (Mar 13) when it was parked at an open air carpark at Yishun Street 22. "Apparently this is not the first case of vandalism at this carpark. "My car is the tenth car we know of that got smashed by this vandal in the past few months and the culprit has not been caught yet. "My family and I personally witnessed four cases of vandalism over the past few months. "Just a block away, three cars were smashed on the windscreen in one night, some time last year in Jan/Feb. "This was confirmed by the shop owners near the carpark. "We were also told by the police officers there were around 10 cases of vandalism reported at that carpark. "I would like to appeal to the other victims to sign a petition for the MP to arrange for more patrols in the area, or for a CCTV to be installed in this neighbourhood."

Source: omy Agar translation: Police arrested a burglar yesterday and the alarming thing is he is only 12. 8. An idiot driving a blue kia forte - S*U 511'Die' T, quite new car though... Guess if the missing letter is a 'G' or a 'J' Saw a chase between 2 policemen and a young kid at one of the car park in Yishun. Nothing to do with this? Read on. When reached a parking lot, this idiot driving the above was behind me so close which he needs to reverse for me to park or, reverse first then has the sufficient space to go through me. He did not and squeeze thru me which I already knew he's gonna rubbed on my right. True enough, he did but did not bother to stop. Pissed for this stupid act as hit and run, I honked at him, showing him hand signal to stop but he chose to ignore me. Ended up I have to give chase out of the car park to the main road to intercept him. Intercepted, instead of solving this amicably, he said he did not have any scratches on his ride, so the 'scratches' on mine were from my past damage. I was pissed and called the police. This super idiot called his friend too, and when police arrived, he told the police that there is such ppl like me that extort $ for my own damage. I accessed the damage and it was tire mark (must rubbed by his tires) which I tried to clean it off and told the police is ok as the damage is minor. Whole thing here is erupted cos this idiot should have stop by when i honked him (can felt the car been rubbed). Or at least assess the damage and see whats best for both of us or rather still, stop slandering others by saying I am doing this to claim compensation for my own damage. On top, telling me he run as he saw the police giving chase to the kid and he is a civil servant - an air force guy. Great to hear and see such brave singaporean, but, still, dun try helping the police catch the thief and ignore what damage you have caused to others... Crap

  10. Another horrific accident. Hope the driver's alright... http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...leaves_car.html STOMPer Ricky was alerted to the scene of this accident by a loud 'bang' from outside his window at 5.00am this morning (Sep 15). The accident left the car an overturned wreck with the driver trapped inside. Ricky describes the situation: "This accident happened on Sep 15 at about 5.00am, along Yishun Avenue 1. Early this morning, I heard a loud 'bang' from outside my window. "Only one vehicle appeared to be involved in the accident, and the car was overturned. He was probably speeding or something. "Civil Defence people and an ambulance arrived and worked to free the driver from the wreckage. An ambulance then took the casualty away. "This is not the first time such a major accident happened here. This stretch of road is long and straight, and is a favourite of speeding drivers. "I have written to LTA and the Traffic Police regard speeding drivers and bikers along this stretch of road, but so far I have not received any response. "In addition to creating lots of noise late at night, they are also likely to cause accidents here. "I hope the authorities will put up some speed bumps to stop this trend." A spokesperson for the SCDF also gave more details: "The call was received at 5.24am. "The accident had occurred at the junction of Yishun Street 81 and Yishun Avenue 1. "The SCDF dispatched one ambulance, two fire bikes, one Red Rhino, one fire engine and one support vehicle to the scene. "The driver was trapped in his car and rescuers used a hydraulic spreader-cutter to release him. The operation took 20 minutes to complete. He was conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital with head injuries in a conscious state."

  15. Anyone experienced problems with Yishun 10's car park before? Here is my story. Last night (12th March), I went to Northpoint Mall to have dinner at 9 plus and parked at the Yishun 10 car park. I entered and exited (around 10 plus) as per normal, paying $1.50 for per entry parking. Today (13th March), I went to Northpoint Mall for lunch at about 2 plus. Upon exiting around 3.40 pm, the unsuspecting yours truly put the Cashcard into the system. Just then, I realised that the system clocked my entry time at 9.24 pm (which was the previous day) and charged me a whopping $10.50 I was shocked but I didn't want to make a scene and hold up traffic so I left and tried calling LTA, URA and Golden Village to seek some form of redress. At this point, I have not made any progress. Paying $10.50 for a system glitch is the least of my worries. My concern now is this: If I proceed to park again the next time, will I be triple-charged for parking since 12th March????? It seems that the system did not record my exit the first time. Will it forget my 2nd exit and that I paid $10.50? Please help if you know a solution or have a similar story to tell. I will not dare to park there again.
  16. yo bros.. i need directions.. or rather advice on the shortest route from lok yang way to yishun. All i can think of is AYE to CTE and exit yishun.. that seems to be very very long. I should be able utilize KJE ya?

  18. Hi, To the silver stream driver i encountered: I have given you right signal and ample timing to cut into your lane. You used the ample time i gave to speed up and follow- on horn at me from the back. So for the safety of my wife and kid, i stop my change lane plan and let you pass. And after i change lane and at your back, u perform a hard brake. For the same safety concern, I move back to the original lane. my sincere advice is please change your driving attitude and steer toward good and safe driving manner.
  19. To the lady driving a black merc at Yishun avenue 6 on 10th Mar around 9am: I hope you can be more considerate when you drive. That stretch of road has many sharp turns and you should be driving carefully. You nearly caused an accident when u swerved into my lane at one of the turns. Didn't even bother to apologize for your error and just continue driving as if nothing happened. For those of you who know this driver...please let her know. I think she works somewhere in Yishun Industrial park A as her car drove into the road where ASM technologies is located. Seems like a high level executive as she was dressed smartly in a power suit...sad to say she don't even have the manners to apologize for her bad driving. Bros if u see a black merc driven by a lady with triple one as the car plate no. around this area...do be careful.

  21. Just met with a slight accident at the 'damned' junction. An Isuzu pickup (silver with green stickers) almost crashed right into my driver side door as I was going straight into Yishun Ave 1 from Mandai Ave. Luckily the Isuzu driver swerved in time to cause a long dent instead. The pickup was turning right from Yishun Ave 1 into Sembawang Road. As it was at the middle of the junction and raining heavily, the pickup went off as I was parking my car away from the junction. Any information of the pickup's license plate no would be much appreciated.
  22. This is the third accident i have seen at this junction which happens all at night time. Almost got into an accident her last time also..
  23. Just saw a digital spedo signboard telling you how fast your car is when at the CTE Yishun exit. It was on the left side of the ramp, just before the curve. BIG sign saying 50 km/h..... Makings of a speed camera soon?

A man has been arrested. By Carolyn Quek Police received a call at about 12.50am from a member of the public informing them of the body of a woman lying at the foot of the block. -- ST PHOTO: CAROLYN QUEK . THREE women were found dead and another with multiple injuries in what is believed to be a case of mass murders in a flat at Block 349 Yishun Avenue 11 early on Friday. Police received a call at about 12.50am from a member of the public informing them of the body of a woman lying at the foot of the block. Police investigators rushed to the scene. They combed the block floor by floor and found a blood-stained padlock on the main door of the sixth floor unit. They broke down the door and found the other two bodies and the injured woman inside the flat. The injured woman, with multiple wounds, was rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital at 2.45am. The women, all fair complexioned, are believed to be Chinese. They were renting the flat and kept mostly to themselves. A Chinese man in the flat was arrested at 3.20am. He did not put up a struggle.
