Road was a bit slippery after the rain, join CTE from AMK 3, filter from Lane 3 to Lane 2, then Lane 2 to Lane 1. Traffic was ok but just near to AMK 1 exit, all cars come to a claw and stop, I manage to stop in time, then it happen, 1 loud bang and about 2 sec later another bang stop the car and step out to take a look, the Black Ford Laser behind me didn't stop in time and seconds later the taxi behind it also didn't stop in time here are some pics taken of the Black Lancer behind me but forgetten to take pics of the taxi behind it. Got some video of the taxi on my Nokia handphone, will try to upload to youtube later. pics taken with my N95 8GB but flash not powerful enough, so have to enhance the contrast & brightness

Yes to the aunty driving the silver altis along Jln Bt Merah yesterday ard noon. you were stationary along the extreme right trying to make a turn as most of us waiting in the Q. all lovey and dovey, i really have to hand it to you. you made a U turn (not illegal) but doing at a time when the motorbike was driving along the opposite side along with another on coming car. FYI, the motorbike was almost driven up to the pavement in his hectic attempt to avoid colliding with you. Did you have a date with the Maker? I tot you did.. becos u were in a Nun's attire. Duh stoopig woman driver... this one is really bad example.

Had a quick glance at today ST and was sadden by the news that one youth age 18 was killed in a vehicle accident when the vehicle broke into two pieces and the vehicle made is beyong reconition. The youth who died was thrown out of the vehicle and so to for the rear passenger who broke both her legs. The driver this time was also another youth age 19 years. Another vehicle driven by a lady had knocked onto the first vehicle and her vehicle too, mount a kerb and hit onto a tree. There is an eye witness who gave the full account of the accident. (as I unable to login to the ST web-site due to office policy, any member here could login to ST e-papers to post the story on the accident, thks) At 19 yrs, the most is a new licence holder and speeding in early Sunday morning...... . He will leave by his guilt for the rest of his life.

Heard about this over the radio (91.3)... Heard it involved 5 trucks and about 30 injured... Anybody saw it?

5 lorries collided together with 30 people injured, but no fatality reported yet. Hope nothing really serious.

Does anyone know about it? The car was on fire... i couldn't see the make. Thinking it was a china car.. even raining can catch fire lol.. maybe the wires were exposed to the rain. I saw SCDF and it happened @ about 1800hrs. No news or reports or stomp about it. Thanks! -
Today something almost happened to me, I was pumping petrol at East Coast Esso and was walking to pay for my petrol. I stood near the pump nearest to the payment coutners and stopped for awhile to look at the petrol prices and a Subaru WRX sped through the kiosk almost hitting a car and me in the process, the car driver also honked at the Rex the longest time, for me it was a mixture of shock and anger. Why do people do these kind of things? In a petrol kiosk speeding off after pumping petrol? What is he trying to show off? What if there was a kid there walking out and the Rex cannot brake in time.....this is totally unrespondsible and a total danger to the public. Just my rant and hopefully help send a message out about safe driving. -
was driving in a 2 lane road to top up petrol at a shell station along jurong west street 64 when i noticed a taxi driver who just dropped off hes passenger on the left lane about 6-8 metres ahead of me and as he switched on hes hazard light and wasnt blocked the lane i was travelling in i just continued driving but all of a sudden he just made an illegal u-turn as just beside my lane there was a gap for cars driving in the opposite direction to make a turn into the carpark which was situated to my left side. i know its a bit tedious to understand but i hope you'll can understand wat im trying to say. its like. the taxi juz stopped b4 the entrance to the carpark. and it was a 2 lane road which means he was on the left lane and i was cuming alone in the right lane. and cars dat were cumin out of the carpark could choose to turn left and follow my direction or they could choose to turn right and go with the opposite direction as there was a gap in the barrier for them to make the right turn. and this taxi driver who was in such a hurry, despite knowing that i was so close to him still went ahead and attempted the U-turn from the left lane which made it even harder and there was no way i was gonna be able to stop in time and as expected my left side bumper collided with hes driver side door. so i guess you'll can imagine that hes car was almost 90 degrees to mine. instantly he drove hes car to the side of the road without letting me take a picture of wat exactly happened and likewise i followed suit and got outta the car and started snapping a few pics. He apologised profusely telling me it was hes fault that he made the illegal u turn and he did that because he thought i was drivin really slowly. took down all his particulars and he told me right away that we shouldnt go down to claim insurance as driving a taxi is hes livelihood and hes rice bowl but instead he will bear full costs for the replacement of a brand new bumper for my car and headlights as well as my left side head lights had scratches and markings on them and he suggested that i meet up with him tomorrow and he'll bring me to hes fren's workshop where we could get it done. but because my car is a brand new car and is still under warranty i called up my salesman and he told me to get it sent directly to motorimage and let my insurance claim against his and not to send my car at any cost to hes fren's workshop as they may simply buy an aftermarket cheap bumper as a replacement and fix it up instead. but if im gonna claim through insurance ive gotta pay an excess of $2500 first as im still under probation. but on a serious note. i would honestly appreciate the opinions of you ppl out there on what should i actualli do cause im really upset that i've gotta go through this and especially with a taxi driver of all ppl..

Am thinking of getting a PARF resale car from one of the dealers in Ubi carmart. However, after reading all the horror stories about resale cars, the last thing I ever want to to buy a resale car that had been through an accident b4. Are the dealers obliged to tell us the truth when we ask? Any advice?

0830H. I was traveling along AYE in the direction towards Tuas on the first lane. At the stretch in the vicinity of NUS where the speed camera is, cars on the first lane came to a complete halt for reasons beyond me. I was able to halt in time when the car in front of me did a hard braking. It helped that I was keeping my distance. Unfortunately, the car following behind me was not able to and bumped into my rear bumper. Here it goes again, I thought to myself at that instance. I made eye contact with the driver via my rear view mirror and I thought he knew my intentions. Traffic was not really heavy and I do not want to stop on the first lane and cause an unwelcome jam. Signaling to the left, I made a slow maneuver to the road shoulder just before the NUS exit (if my memory serves me) and waited. No car follow suit. The driver remained on the first lane and drove on to my utter disappointment. Does he even know he bumped into me? Maybe he didn't? That's impossible. Maybe he did not understand or know my intentions to stop over at the road shoulder? Perhaps. He drove off. Maybe he could have stopped further down? I re-join the traffic and drove on but found no waiting car. That's my morning. *GE7o96T (Based on my memory. Scribbled the car plate down but left it in my car, will confirm tomorrow). I choose to believe you have your reasons not to stop at that point in time. If you are the driver of the car, kindly dropped me a PM and let us settle this as what a true gentleman will do. Or if you know the driver, please let him know that the driver of the car that he bumped into is looking for him and leave it to him to establish contact. Thanks for reading.

Hi All, Need advise from the bro here. I open my mailbox today and got a letter from my insurer AIG, saying that a taxi is claiming from me $7K plus for an accident at slip road of yuan ching road at 14 Sept. The problem is... i have never been there before!!!! Except for the motorcycle that scatch my car when my car is 1 day out from C&C, i have never been involved with any accident, nor any damange or deep scatches on my car... Now i have my insurer AIG threatening to reduce my NCD and i don't understand why the letter come to me so late..3 bloody months!! Can anyone encounter this before? and do i have to go through all the trouble as AIG is asking me to go down to their office... Damn pissed off, for no reason, i got to waste my phonebill and time to clarify this!!!

Sigh... Recently juz got into an accident. I was parking my car, and as I was reversing into my lot, this car impatiently hit into the side of my front bumper. I was looking behind as I was reversing into the lot and this car juz cldn't wait for me to finish parking and tried to drive ahead but to no avail. The side of my front bumper is dented in, and her headlight pop out. She refused to admit is her fault, so I took down her particulars and rushed off (regret not having the time to spare to make her sign the accident form). Reported to my insurance to make a 3rd party claim against her. I waited for 1.5 weeks and finally was told that she did not report it to her insurance (Auntie Lucy) so my insurance cannot proceed to claim against her. She has already repaired the car on her own. Now I have to face the dilemma of either pressing ahead to claim her insurance (option 1) or bring the car out to repair it myself without touching the insurance (option 2). But choosing option 1 will incur more legal costs and if I dun win the case 100%, I mite have to fork out more money. However, I was told by the STAR ppl that for my case, I stand a low chance of winning the case because I was the one reversing into the lot. Then they showed me the list of incident liabilities, and my case is under a 70-30 claim. I was like wtf! Not my fault and I mite juz lose my NCB. Seems like I got to repair the car on my own cos option 1 is quite a losing scenario for me. Even my dad's insurance broker advise me to choose option 2. What wld u guys do if u are me?

How would you react if the person did that to u, and is related to u in family, but not in blood-ties? Eg.sis-in-law? bro-in-law? Would u expose the person? Or would u simply keep quiet so as not to make the whole family messed-up?

Came out fromThomson Plaza at abt 10.45am saw a bad accident opp side involving 3 cars at a 'man-at-work' site causing a bad jam along Upp Thomson Rd towards city direction. Anyone got caught in the jam? Had wanted to U-turn at X but change to Marymount instead.

Okay. This was what happened. I was travelling back from Ang Mo Kio towards Novena by bus. In this case, the bus travelled by Marymount (near mediacorp) towards thomson (near old police academy). In between marymount and thomson there's this slight right bend near the old chij toapayoh primary school. Luckily the bus was travelling slowly or else omg, and there was this OPC Metallic Grey Subaru Rex with plate of SGUXXXX if im not wrong, and He was cutting the bend using the middle lane at probably a speed of 70 - 80 km/h (estimated).without even braking before entering the bend. At first it looks so damn cool , he was NO DOUBTS drifting at an angle of 40 - 50 degrees on singapore roads eating the 1st and 2nd lane. Just as about he was to exit the corner, he just lose it due to traction lost and cause the floor was pretty wet. After losing it, he spins 360 degrees 2 rounds eating first 2 lanes, and the last spin happens between the 2nd and 3rd lane. After that, he continues to spins slowly for another few times at the 2nd and 3rd lane. Thank god there was no pedestrians near the pathway nor cars on your left or right side. And thank god you're fine and your new car doesnt even have a scratch. If there was any pedestrians around, i bet they'll be in a traumatic shock state. i was ing all the way from you start to drift to you end your spins. Please drive safetly and brake before you enter the bend, even tho Rex is a 4WD car. I bet no car can overcome natural forces of God. It happened at approximately 4.00pm. Are you here OPC SGU Grey Subaru Rex. I bet that was a lifetime experience for your case.

just pass by jurong west ave 2(after PIE exit, just before corporation rd exit) and i saw a terrible aftermath of a traffic accident. a car overturned from opp side, towards KJE/airport onto the other. make of car totally unknown and petrol leaked across all 4 lanes of the road. also saw a mz3 stopping by the 1st lane about 20 meters away from the scene.. hopefully the driver/passenger of the unknow make vehicle is alrite..

last sat night my car got into accident with a malaysian car in jb now the other party encounter back saying i knocked her in her police report. i have already filed police report in malaysia & sg. the actual story is i was driving toward the skudai toll then i got into the extreme 2nd right lane, then i realised i was in the wrong lane cos is meant for touch & go card user.therefore i reverse my car back as there was a another car behind me.i signal the driver behind me to allow me to reverse back.i reverse back to the right side a bit so dat he can pass through.then came another car going to the lane extreme first right lane which is on my right side.i was waiting for the moment to shift my car further more as there are still cars coming in.then this car also got into the wrong lane therefore she reverse her car back without checking her surrounding is there any objects or cars around her then knock onto my car.her left rear knocked onto my front left.i got her contact and name & ID.at the point of time i didn't realise whether is there any witness ard cos my first time got into accident in malaysia. anyone can help or got any advise ?

Exec Summary: Witness the aftermath of a bike accident at around 1.06am on 28th Oct. Condition: 1 with broken arm and another deceased Location: Slip road after clementi Ave 6 towards PIE. As a form of respect, no photos is taken, so don't enforce the NPNT rule in here. Sequence of event, entered the slip road slowly (usually don't but I'm on fuel saving mode) and saw someone lying on the road. Bike is about 10m away from the person. Stop my car further down the road and walk back due to the curve of the slip road. Called 999 at 1.06am, One lorry also came by and stop as well while I was making a call to the police. Next to pass by is LTA contractors in their lorry. I was impressed as they, including some FT, quickly get off their lorry and set up cones and reverse their lorry with their directional lights on. They also took out light stick to direct traffic. All these happen within 2mins and at 1.08am, i was still on phone with the police whom apparently do not know that there's no road name on expressway. Isn't Slip road after Clementi Ave 6 towards PIE very clear? Other half also called the police at the same time as she rush the next victim while I made the call near the 1st victom. Guess what, police didn't take down my other half's particular nor as ask her where is the location and tell her they are on the way. I tot they can trace thru GSM network. At 1.14, tow truck called to ask again for direction. At 1.18, ambulance called to ask for direction (yet again) At 1.29, ambulance arrived and attend to the victim with broken arm. The other victim which have his lower jaw smashed can't make it (Other half is still quite tramutized over the sight when she tried to check for consciousness on that victim) At 1.38, then the police arrived. So much for an emergency. At 1.42, another ambulance arrived. Guess it's time for a party or a meetup. So many come but isn't it a bit late? The intend of this post is to ask, is it reasonable for the relevant parties to arrive at such timing? If there's any faint of life in the victim, he/she would have bleed to death. Given their final accident position which could be awkward, passerby, whom have basic medical knowledge would be helpless except to call for help. I'm worried. Edit: at 1.47, police ask all passerby like me to leave so that they can carry on with their own party. Erm, so no need to close case with me? -
I am seeking for a witness to step forward in an accident involving a EuroR and a Hyundai Accent at around 12.25pm, Sunday 28 October 2007, at the cross-junction of upper serangoon road and bartley road.
