Hi all , Thinking about changing my wheels . I'm currently on 14" stock rims and tyres (me car's the GETZ ). I know that I have several things to consider and this is where I need advice in:- 1). I am told that if I were to change to 15" wheels, my fuel consumption will be affected (i.e., I get less milege). Why is this so? 2). How heavy should the rims be to be optimal for my 1.3 car? There are some nice ROH rims that I'm looking at but I heard that they are quite heavy. So how heavy is heavy and what should be the "right" weight? 3). This is related to the weight of the rims (I think) - there's this thing about the rims being hard or soft. And this is something that I'm still confused about - am I right to say that the harder the rims, the more brittle they are or is it the other way round? Is there a correlation between weight and how hard the rim is? 4). Finally, any recommendations for rims? Thanks guys

I need some advice what should I do and what parts should I change during the 10,000km servicing for my Corolla 1.3M (2000) they call it G8? the new "elephant" corolla is G9? this is what i know i should do but maybe u can suggest more things? change engine oil. (amsoil oil?) change oil filter. flush engine (some chemical pour in engine, drain out and pour engine oil) injector cleaner (some liquid pour in petrol tank mix with full tank of petrol) what else should i request to be check? -

Hi Folks, Thinking of bridging my 4 channel to 2 for my front. That means I need an active woofer or another amp. Can I just get the cables and splitters and tap the power/ground/on-off signal from the current points connected to the existing amp (4 channel Alpine V12) ? Anything I need to watch out for ? Hi guys...anyone able to provide me with some info on the following: i) What does the Magnecor KV85 spark plug cables & Jetracing power cables do to the performance of the car? Approx how much would that cost me? ii) Read something abt Multiple Spark Discharge (MSD). What does it do & costs? iii) What is Short Ram Induction system?? Is it part of a CAI system together with air injector? iv) Anyone know what is the cost of an AEM CAI system? Does it come together with the K&N filter?? Thanks for the help...much appreciated!

Hi guys, I was reading abt the AMSOIL High Performance Synthetic 10W-40 Motor Oil & its benefits. Wondering wat the '10W-40' actually means... Can i use it in my new Lancer 1.5GDI? Btw i'm currently using Shell Helix Super 20W-50 motor oil for my 1st 1K servicing tomorrow...dad's working in Shell so got a slight discount...but if there're better oils out there i'd definitely wanna try them... Comments pl? Many thanks...

Thinking of downgragind to COE renewed Civic ESi but still ...... Whats the opinion of you guys in this car? Example like maintenance, handling, fuel economy etc...?? Have tried my friends civic esi and it feels quite good in terms of power, torque and handling, but no matter what, its still an old car.... Thanks!

Hi people, I know this has been asked so many times but please indulge in me for a moment. I've a couple of questions to ask regarding wheels, alignment and handling. 1. How would spacers be seriously detrimental to a car especially if it's cornered hard, and moved up and down multi-storey parking daily? 2. Spacers added to a wheel of +40 offset for a G9 required? I think mine's got spacers but I'm not sure, cos the usual offset range seems to be +35 to +38. 3. If the camber cannot be adjusted, only the toe, and the right camber is off 1 degree, and left is off only about 0.7, what could be the likely long/short term impact to drive-sub, alignment handling etc. ? 4. And if its in anyone's pleasure, please do give some tips about picking the right wheel for a car apart from cosmetics. Thank you!

To all the owners of Mit Lancer. (Not sure have anyone asked before) Need your advice. What is the diff between those lancer where some have sunroof and some don't? Understand that those lancer made before 97 have some problem... How about the newer ones? What is the normal depri for lancer? Need info to decide on my next wheels.

Was thinking of changing my 14" JRD rims to 15" white rims - hope some nice soul can help me in my queries :- - Apart from Leong Seng and ST, any other 'lobangs' that stock affordable and good rims? - Wanted to spray my existing rims, but now having second thoughts as i'm afraid the colour may 'run' in time to come - any bros here ever sprayed their rims white? Any advice/guidance will be well-appreciated

Need advices for the following: 1) Air con servicing: when and where do u guys do it? Wat does it involves? Cleaning or replacing parts? Anyone with experience plz post here. 2) Mobil 1 syn engine oil: Where can i get the cheapest? Heard from some ppl that bukit merah or alexandra sells the cheapest. Anyone knows exactly where? 3) NGK plugs: where can i get NGK stock copper plugs at the cheapest? Hehe..i know a few dollars only...but just tell me lah! denso also can. 4) Varta batt: Where can i get the cheapest maintenace free batt? Any brands beside varta to look out for? thanks folks.

Hi all, I would like to seek some expert advice from all of u. And of coz, its not restricted to focus owners only but i certainly wish to hear from all of u ple, thx in adv!! 1) Did anybdy see the body-kit fixed on the black focus at RM? I was offered $1.8k for it, incl spraying, is it worth it? Is there anyplace in sg where i can get it cheaper and installed properly. It comes with a new front grill, bumper with foglites, side skirts, new rear bumper and skirt, exhaust cover pipe and rear roof spoiler. Btw, the body kit is meant for the ambieniate model. 2) Is there a gd place to fix leather seats? u see, i 'm not very satisfied with the quality and workmen ship of the supplier for RM. Furthermore i wanted black leather and those shown to me by my SE looks dark grey to me. Heard Regency is gd and is it true IDM = Tomo? 3) As i will asking RM not to paste the silver trims on the centre console and door handles, i am afraid the Alpine may look out of place with its silver surround. So i was thinking of changing the headunit. any suggestion on which unit to install on the focus? 4) is there any matt silver surround for the gear surround? And is there a better looking gear shift? my wife thinks it looks like drumstick So far, that's abt all thx again!!

Galant Bros, Could any one advise some good rims upgrade for YR 2000 Galant MIVEC ( 4 x 114.12 PCD )? Looking for 17" or 18" rims. I have a friend who is looking for an upgrade for his stock 15". He is kind of interested with OZ rims but South East Tyre say that it is not available in 17" or 18" (no longer available). I wonder how true is this? Any advise for tyre shop as well ? ( been to South East Tyre already ) Any Galant owners out there with good good recomendations? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am not sure if everyone is supposed to have been migrated from Delphi Forum to here, but I just like to repost my query and hopefully get some useful feedback. Personally, I am planning to book an Octavia 1.8T(M) in March. Frankly, I found the car value-for-money. However, I am a little concerned after reading all the not-so-pleasant opinions (READ: COMPLAINTS) about JTA posted by various people here. Therefore, I was wondering if any any kind hearted souls can offer any frank comments / opinions? I am really fearful that I will encounter similar problems like those before me. Thanks much! DLow18
