just ask for my bil... he is driving a wish... recently, theaircon is not functioning normally... when driving or car moving,,... aircon is cool.. normal... but when stationary, the aircon suddenly will become not coold and blow hot air sometimes....... what's wrong??... he asked a ws and that mechanics said dont know where blocked and need to strip open everything to check and that cost $700-$800 bucks.... i suspect that's bs ..if chocked, it will not be cool, right?.. and not intermittent... anyone has such similar problem before??...

Am driving a Toyota. There are 4 a/c vents on the dash,2 for driver and 2 for passenger. The 2 vents for driver is just blowing air,while the other 2 for passenger is still blowing cool air. Anybody can offer simple solution before I bring it in for a look by the aircon people? Thanks MCFers.

Hi all, Recently realised that the car air flow keeps changing from internal circulation to allowing air from outside to enter and then back to internal circulation. When it is switched to the later, the coolness of the aircon drops. It is normal?

The last 2 weeks, I removed the glove compartment and knocked the aircon fan a little for it to spin. But now fan refused to spin anymore. Where can I fix it and how much can I expect to spend?

Hi folks, opening this thread as I could not find any relevant in forums. Is it normal to have condensation (ie: watery around the vent) in aircon vent ? A bit no brainer though but, just asking if too much is no good? Used to own Mitsubishi and the vent is always condensed with condensation , current ride Honda have a little bit though.

Hi. Was driving almost 9 year-old verna on Saturday. Went couple of places, then on way home after buying breakfast near my place, the aircon suddenly just went off. The a/c knob is the turn (not touch) type and it was still at '1' position. Turning the knob to '0', then to '1', '2', '3', '4', all no response. Fed up and upset already, as it was 5.15 pm so was thinking of where can I go to see what's wrong... Then at traffic light 2 min later, my daughter sitting in front passenger seat, turned the a/c knob again, and this time the a/c came back on!!! Reached home 3 min later and it was ok, still cold as before. Did not drive on Sun, and today drove to work, and out for lunch. So far no noticeable problem and it seems to be working fine. Does anyone know what could be the problem with my a/c system? I changed the cooling coil 16 mth ago, and really dread having to spend more $$ on repair, as car is no longer new... tks... -
Anyone know whats wrong? My car's aircon is now blowing hot air. Had an inkling that this happened when I went over a pot hole or I fiddled with the thermostat. Car is a Civic 1.8. Also, can recommend a good aircon workshop? Thanks in advance!

My home Mitsubishi Starmex Aircon louvre spoilt. I checked it and found out motor corroded n not working. Any idea where can I get this motor replacement? Such unique motor don't think sim lim tower will have ... Any idea? Thanks

Didn't find any topic on this. Probably most car owners here changed rides every 5 yrs & below? Anyone tried? Brands included Sonax, Liqui Moly priced about 30+. Method of usage is remove all food / tissue / consumable, place can in front passenger / behind same, on engine, full blast recirc, aircon either off or coldest setting, break tab to release content from can, close door for 10-15mins, ventilate + wipe off residue if any. Today saw in Caltex mart Diax Diamond Deo at under 10 bucks. If it works like Sonax / LM, at this price can do at least 3x.

This problem only occur recently, need advice from bro here to prevent being smoked by workshop. When I park under hot sun for quite long, the aircon will just blow out hot air, need to drive a while and on again before the cold air comes out. After that it will work normally. This only happens after parking under hot sun. Any advice what might be wrong here? -
My Subaru R2 Aircon when idling is not cold, when cruising is cold. Cruising along expressway is cold but when come to traffic light stop, Aircon is not cold. BTW, I have just changed new Compressor and dryer. Is this Subaru R2 Characteristic? Any member have this issue too?

My car aircon suddenly starts blowing warm air while i was driving normally around Singapore. Is there any suggestions from forumers here on how to troubleshoot aircon problems and what is the likely cause for this issue? Also, is there any reliable aircon repair shops that you can recommended to me? What is the typical price range to fix such aircon issues?

Today i notice only one of the fans are working when down to the workshop to check. mechanic say one of the fan motor spoiled and ask me to change 2 motors as the other one will spoiled soon.i told him to just changed the one that is spoiled . was quoted 180 for a aftermarket motor. strange the other one not spoil ask me change also. while changing it they also removed the radiator pipe connect to the engine. after changing, they top up abit of toyota premixed coolant into the radiator and reserve tank . i saw the radiator and tank was filled to the brim. after 1 hrs drive back home due to traffic jam. i pop the bonnet to check on the fans if they are working. I noticed the radiator reserve tank was empty!!! i wanted to check my radiator but the engine was still hot and dangerous to open . so i decided tomorrow morning when it is cold i will check my radiator. 1st question : can i top up my reserve tank with tap water? 2nd question: i wonder how come the radiator was full and the mechanic top up abit of premised coolant but when i reached home the reserve tank empty. any advice bros

My home is using a system 3 for all the room except the living hall. Wanted to add a system 1 to the living hall. Aircon ledge no problem to add on another outdoor unit, power point also ok. but need to add a bracket. I was considering, instead of adding a bracket and outdoor unit, can I change the outdoor unit to a system 4 and getting only the indoor unit for the living hall and use back existing room indoor unit? Giving all are using the same model. My current one only 2 years old and still available in the market (Panasonic NKZ) Wonder anyone done that before...

Hi My forte aircon sometimes blow to the leg when i did not turn the knob to blow at the leg, it is felt especially after crossing some holes or humps. Can anyone advise what is the problem? anything loose items that i need to tighten or any possible parts that need replacement? Thanks.

Hi guys, Need some advise from you all. I am staying in 5 rooms flat installed with system 3 aircon. Did not fix a unit in living room Now I would like to have aircon in my living room. Wanna check if HDB will approve 2 compressor in one HDB unit. possible to apply? another option will be portable aircon which is not a wise choice. last option, buy new system 4..... waste money cos my sys3 used 3years only. kindly give comment, advise. Thanks

Hi all, 2009 avante 1.6a sport model. Just got today. Hope there are kind souls out there to help. Current Issue: - When aircon temp set at 25,26,27,28 deg celsius, i get hot air. Even after 3 minutes. - When aircon temp set at 24 and below, I get cold air. I don't think this is normal. I was afraid that the hot weather was affecting however it is the same even at night. Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys, Why does car aircon give a sourish smell especially in the morning after parked overnight??? Some say this is due to damped n mouldy parts in the aircon system, is it correct??...... Some advise to turn of the aircon compressor (but leave the blower runnning) say 5 minutes before reaching home so that cold/moist air in the system can be 'dried' up before we part our cars overnight......... i tried it but the sourish smell is still there. It happens with my old car and also 1 month old car. Why??? Thanks

Hello, Some advise please. My Civic FD aircon just now suddenly stop blowing cold air but has wind. I have to switch off the aircon for a while and turned it back on before there was cold wind again. This has had happened the second time liao. Anyone has the problem before? What likely is the problem. Sigh, car coming to 7 years liao, slowly this spoil that spoil but COE never crashes. No money to buy new car leh.

I have been driving my Latio for 6months+, since 3 months ago, on and off there was smelly air coming out from the aircon. Reported to the service center and after 2 trials, it's still the same. Engineer told me it's normal coz sometimes PlasmaCluster doing cleaning and causes it. However, over the past few weeks, this smell comes back almost every day, and it lasted for 1-2 mins. Any idea what went wrong? I know about Sharp plasmacluster technologies and I dun believe the engineer. Any Latio owner also encounter the same problem? Just want to hear some feedback before I bang table at the customer service.....
