Hi bros...hmm this morning duno what happened...after start engine and warm up till lights off, then proceed to on aircon, but then can smell some plasticy smell.. then wifey say how come got some smoke coming out from aircon vent...gan cheong then stop along the roadside to check (scared engine on fire) open bonnet but nothing leh.. thereafter dun dare to switch aircon back, but the smoke (not alot but can see feint smoke coming out of the vent). Was thinking of probably something in the aircon burnt? coz on sat noon time went over to JB, weather was hot so aircon was on 2nd mode for >1hr. Btw my radiator water was almost empty too..top up 2 bottles of water before it was full. Any bros here can help recommend a aircon mechanic to help check? budget and trustworthy wan can??

Guys, Which workshop you guys always go for aircon servicing? I'm asking for my cousin as i do not have any idea where to find reliable and trustworthy workshop. My cousin's ride is Nissan Sunny N16 and i believe it should be quite common for them to service? Preferred somewhere near Taman Sentosa or somewhere near as i only know performance workshop like TRC or TT Motorsports.

wah piangz nites are so blardy hot now! my living room needs a portable aircon to blow at the sofa area so at least not so hot when we watching tv no need to really cool the whole room hope can find a reliable portable aircon that is not too ex and power consumption not so high split units are out thks in advance

Hi guys, pardon me if this is a noob question. Just bought my car to servicing (C&C) and was asked to change aircon filter which cost 80+ and air filter which cost 90+ Can i know what is the difference and why so expensive! Got kena chop?

Hi, encountered the above problem with my Citroen Berlingo yesterday. The steering became very very stiff, to the point that it isn't even possible to drive to the workshop (had to tow) and the aircon also stopped working at the same time. What problem could I be looking at? Any belt system that hooks up the two?

Hi, My faithful Nissan Presea R10 is acting up recently. The aircon blower seems to be "cranky", need to knock a little then the it will start. Anyone have any lobang where to get a used part? Or recommendation for scrap yard? Thanks! -
Hi guys, Have a small problem here, couple of months back i installed a LG aircon 3 systems. brought from IMM In the beginning damn cold, but than after a while noticed that whenever the remaining 2 room use the aircon mine unit because like blowing normal cold air. Change to 18deg also like normal temperature.. I called up the service side as got one year warranty, the technician came down and said that its like that want because we on 2 other units so not enough power to cold the 3rd unit up(which is mine as room is the furthest away from compressor) Initially i thought LL no choice, but than again like not right, if buy 3 aircon unit and have to rotate using then kinda silly right. its like saying if you on the remaining 2 lights your room will be darker because not enough energy. Anyway should i bring this up to LG or is it really "like that wan"?? Inputs greatly appreciated

Hi Guys, Summary as follow: 1st visit, mech tells me that one of the a/c tube has a tear, thus leaking a/c gas, with that, he proceeded to change a new tubing. After that, a/c works fine for 3 days. 2nd visit, mech tells me that a/c cold ring damaged (something like tht, I can't quite rem what was the item that he said), what that, he proceeded to replace. (This at no further charges because my a/c still not repaired mah). After that, a/c works fine for another 3 days. Pretty frustrated, I called the mech and told him that my a/c is not working again...I've fixed an appointment this saturday for repairs again...this is my 3rd visit in over 4 weeks.....This mech has been a long term service provider turned friend kinda relationship, sometimes I wonder if he does repairs for my car seriously or not... Anyways, I'm thinking, what else could be the problem...could a faulty compressor be a possible cause to such frequent faults? Generally, the whole car is functioning in good condition with a new re-con alternator, new battery, replaced carbuerator..... Regards, Frustrated Butcher with not cold EP70

Hi if i switch off engine but leave air con running, will it eat battery or petrol? will it be a lot? say, 30mins sometimes while waiting, do not want to switch off air con as too hot thanks

Today caught in the JB custom jam and suddenly my aircon when kuku.... Every time when the aircon cut-in, my rpm went up to 1500rpm for 5-6 sec before drop back to normal. After about 1/2hr in the jam, it went up 1500 rpm and stay constant, i got to off the air-con to get the rpm down to 600rpm idle. Anybody knows what is the problem? or any aircon workshop to recommend?

Any bro know where is the best workshop to service the aircon for Toyota Mark X ? Is there a drain outlet for the car? Cannot locate the drain pipe and the car got flooded.

Mine was changed about a year ago. But was told recently that the compressor got no power, so when the car is idling, the air will not be cold.\ To me, the air is cold enough during normal circumstances like normal weather etc. But then the weather recently is so hot that most of the time I will perspire in the car unless I turn the aircon to the max (even then I may still perspire). Is there any other more powerful compressor (if got new one even better) which we can use for our starlet? or is there anything I can do to my current compressor? like flushing or servicing or whatever? any advice?

I notice that my car aircon compressor r those that does not auto kick in/out... it is "on" all the time as long as I turn the on the A/C, no matter at what temperature set. when I increase the temp., the compressor does not stop working but only heat from the engine allows to enter the interior fan coil in order to set the cabin temperature. For such car with such tech., how long can the compressor last if it keeps working and how fuel efficiency it is?

Hi All, My friend 1 year old Honda Fit from PI recently encounter some aircon problems. Sometimes cold sometimes not cold. PI warranty for aircon is 1 year only. What could be the problems given the car is still relatively new?

I know if on aircon will cost yr FC go up, but if juz on fan will it also caused FC to increase ?

Aircon not cold and dripping water due to condensation? How? Whats wrong ? How to fix? Is it no more gas? Have to go pump gas? This kind of symptom is what problem?

Anyone has experience or knowledge about what causes power trip ? I suspect my room aircon blower to cause power trip, last night 4 times, had to wake up to switch on the main power throughout the night, now i want to sleep on my notebook liao. I narrow down the main suspect to the aircon blower in room is because i isolated one by one until this one. So what can be wrong, is it the electrical component or board kaput liao ? How ah ?
