Was thinking of installing those scanner lights (blue color) for my car. Currently, when i lock my car, the alarm armed light is a small red led, cannot see properly. Saw some cars which have the led place at the dashboard. Anyone had theirs done? How much inclusive of installations?

Just read this in the American Talk forum. How could this be? I'm not sure about the immobiliser, but when I booked my car, the SE said there's no change from the old version, except 'facelifts' to the front grill and exterior, and the new remote key. Existing features like car alarm, fog lamps, and ABS are unchanged. Which, essentially, is what I paid an additional $1,000 for. To the bros here who already have their Aveos: are the immoboliser and car alarm standard features? If they are, and Starauto retro-actively took these features out of the FL models without stating this to buyers, then it's terrible I feel cheated...

Hi folks, my protege alarm start emitting strange sounds and when I step on the brake pedal, my auto lock triggers many times like machine guns. Upon, every time I step on my brake, the car alarm will sound. I have replaced my remote control battery liao, but still funny alarm sound.. Pls give me some advice. Thank you

Bros, anyone know if its true that if you install an alarm system, the original double locking systems and keyless entry dont work any more ? Kind of a bummer leh, is it possible to have both work at the same time ?

Hello to all, I am contemplating to install the Magicar 2-Way Alarm System (Model M902F) for my car. Since I have a built-in immobiliser, I will need to have a transponder bypass module to get the remote-start function working. Reception range is important to me as my car is often at the basement of the MSCP while I live on the 8 floor. I was told that Magicar has got the best reception range among all 2-way alarm systems but I just could not find this information on its website (www.magicar.com). I would like to check with all members here if anyone is using Magicar & if anyone knows the reception range in metres? I have narrowed down my choices to : 1) Magicar M902F 2) Pageguard 6000 3) Singtech Innosys Echo Appreciate if anyone can give me any guidance/feedback....

Hi everyone, I am just wondering how does the Optra alarm sounds like? Since the day I collected my car till now, I have not figure out how I can get the alarm to sound, so that I will at least recognise my own car alarm. Anyone has figure out a way to make the alarm sound?

its a rather new car and hes afraid that someone might open the car with it. what can he do? can he change the frequency of the car alarm and buy another remote? its a rather new fl sunny, anyone with info about the car alarm could you reply here please its rather urgent, many thanks

Corbra Crimestopper Viper Pageguard Wheels Know of these few brands ... some cost a bomb... Looking at 2 way alarm actually which can work in hand with the car immobiliser. Any recommendations?

My battery just died...cannot even crank the car... so I changed to a new one myself. After changing new battery, car can start perfectly on first crank....but then...car remote cannot work...central locking also cannot work. Took out the Stinger Alarm main unit...see see look look...unplug and plug in all wires...still cannot. Tried to reset the alarm...manual say press reset switch 3 times, etc, but cannot find reset button on the main unit.... Does the central-lock depend on the functionality of the alarm? Sian...now got 3 things to fix liao...cracked windscreen, remote and central lock...zzzzz Want to change car when my OMV for this year finish in 8 month's time...scrap this one and get a new corolla -
A frd of mine bought a '98 Mazda 323... and wanna fix alarm for his car. He's looking at those really cheap type, just lock & unlock function (with alarm when triggered of course!) Anyone with any lobang feel free to shoot Thanks a million!

Hi guys, I have a friend who is driving a mid 2000 Hyundai XG Grandeur. Recently, he found that his stock car alarm remote control is not working properly and he would like to get a replacement remote control. Anybody can shed any ideas on the following : 1. brand of alarm? 2. where to get a replacement remote control? 3. how much roughly would it cost? Thks in advance for any enlightment from the Hyundai experts out there... (PS: my friend has gone back to Komoco to try to get a spare one but he was quoted some astronomical price )

My car is fitted with a Stinger alarm and now there isn't any more sound produced whenever the door is locked and unlocked. Any idea what is wrong with it? Where can I have it checked? BTW, the indicator lights used to light up when the remote is used but a few months back it ceased to do so. Thanks.
