  1. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/headlines/2017/11/alfa-romeo-to-return-to-f1-with-sauber.html The Sauber F1 Team have signed a multi-year technical and commercial partnership with Alfa Romeo, returning the Italian car manufacturer to F1 after an absence of more than 30 years. The deal will see the Swiss squad renamed Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team from 2018, with the car bearing the Alfa Romeo logo and being equipped with 2018-spec Ferrari engines. “This agreement with the Sauber F1 Team is a significant step in the reshaping of the Alfa Romeo brand, which will return to Formula 1 after an absence of more than 30 years,” said Ferrari chairman Sergio Marchionne, who also acts as CEO of Alf’s parent company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. “A storied marque that has helped make the history of this sport, Alfa Romeo will join other major automakers that participate in Formula 1. The brand itself will also benefit from the sharing of technology and strategic know-how with a partner of the Sauber F1 Team’s undisputed experience. “The Alfa Romeo engineers and technicians, who have already demonstrated their capabilities with the newly-launched models, Giulia and Stelvio, will have the opportunity to make that experience available to the Sauber F1 Team. At the same time, Alfa Romeo fans will once again have the opportunity to support an automaker that is determined to begin writing an exciting new chapter in its unique, legendary sporting history.” Pascal Picci, Chairman of Sauber Holding AG, added: “We are very pleased to welcome Alfa Romeo to the Sauber F1 Team. Alfa Romeo has a long history of success in Grand Prix racing, and we are very proud that this internationally renowned company has chosen to work with us for its return to the pinnacle of motorsport. “Working closely with a car manufacturer is a great opportunity for the Sauber Group to further develop its technology and engineering projects. We are confident that together we can bring the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team great success, and look forward to a long and successful partnership.” Alfa Romeo was the dominant force as the Formula 1 World Championship began in 1950, with the Italian marque claiming an historic 1-2-3 in the first ever race at Silverstone before claiming back-to-back world championships with Nino Farina and Juan Manuel Fangio. The Milan-based marque then served an engine supplier for several teams from 1961 until 1979, before returning with a works team from 1979 to 1985. Sauber have not yet revealed who will race for them in 2018, but having strengthened their ties with Ferrari – which carries Alfa logos on its cars - the Scuderia’s junior drivers Charles Leclerc (the recently crowned F2 champion) and Antonio Giovinazzi are thought to be firmly in the frame for seats.
  2. Sometime ago 2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS came to visit us and made 2 short videos. What a car, what a price tag :) enjoy the videos https://youtu.be/-sjaUKt21_g https://youtu.be/uBZdeMDSdFY

  4. As many are considering to renew their ride for the next 10 years. Was wondering, should we consider to place those important components of a car? I know, the golden rule if it aren't spoiled, don't bother. However, replacing them may helps to minimise the downtime and without a mode of transport. I had a couple of bad incidents whereby the fuel pump went down as at 2nd day of cny. Carless and helpless for the next 5 days as most workshop are closed. And recent, alternator went dead. Glad it was done in a couple of hours. I read there isn't any hard rules on their lifespan. Fuel pump can be prevented if tank is left half at most day to lubricate the pump. Water pump is encourage to change upon the changing of belt. What's your view on this?
  5. Check LTA website, none of the IU service centre opening at this hour(8pm). I need to enter my house car park by using cash card. Mean I need to pay until tomorrow morning until I send my IU for repair. Is this the only way?

  7. Hi Guys, time to bid my 2008 Alfa Spyder good bye for the last 4yrs. Hoping to find an Alfa Lover for her else I'll have to trade her in. I have kept all the receipts n there's no repairs required. She has 60k miles. I'm also weighing the options to dekit the following parts which is not that easy to locate in Singapore. You can reach me via SMS at 9457 3080. 1) AP racing CP5555 6 Potters with 355mm floating discs. The bracket n bells are all CNC custom made. Complete with pads n braided hoses. Requires at least 18" rims to clear. 2) Prodrive GC-014i Forged MonoBlock 18" rims. Comes with 225/45/18 Michelin PS3 tyres. Covered no more than 3k miles on the rubbers. Rims are light n straight. No kerbing but do expect some stone chips. 3) 4-2-1 custom header from a fellow reputable forumer here. Removed from his red 159. I never had the time/chance to get it installed. 4) Sprint booster. Plug n play. Simple n straight forward.

  9. I'm not trying to be a troll. I'm really curious. http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=387379&DL=2286 How bad must this car be? An OMV of 43k, selling just 4k above its current paper value, depreication at 5k per year, and already has had 5 owners in the past 7 and a half years. I really wonder if the car can move when anyone buys it. All its previous owners must have thought they they couldn't lose much more since the depreciation has already been absorbed by the previous person. Looks like the car proved them wrong?

Does it matter if U-turn point is before, at or after the Left turn point ? An example is Holland Road (from old Holland Road) leading into Ulu Pandan/Holland Road. https://www.google.com.sg/maps/place/Holland+Village/@1.3204469,103.7811163,19.5z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x31da1a6b703bb689:0xabdb7019b6ce5e9https://www.google.com.sg/maps/place/Holland+Village/@1.3204469,103.7811163,19.5z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x31da1a6b703bb689:0xabdb7019b6ce5e9 Cant remember this being mentioned during driving lessons ... or maybe I forgot ...
