  1. Hi guys, been trying to find some Alfa forums in SG and I landed up here. I have a set of rims which fits the Alfa Romeo mito that I have for sale. I understand how much a pain it is to find a set of 4x98 rims in SG and custom made this set of rims from the UK for my bravo It is a set of team dynamics pro race rims that sits on a fiat bravo tjet which I'm selling soon. More info on the rims which I am selling (do google to find out more about this set of tough as nails rims) Team dynamics pro race Black in Colour Size 18 x 8.5jj Offset +12 Centre bore 58.1 Might be a perfect fit for a mito I believe? Not sure about the off set though. Perhaps for a flushed look? Anyway, if any Mito drivers who are keen, do hit me up at 96655433. Thanks!

    Fiat / Alfa EPER

I found this little gem, the parts EPER catalogue for Fiat group cars. Just make sure to select the correct model year for your car to check on part numbers. http://eper.fiatklubpolska.pl/navi?GUI_LAN...KE=R&SBMK=R
  3. Any bros looking to let go of '07 159? am looking to let go of my 156 soon can consider early 08 too! pm me !

  5. Does anyone know any history or info on this car? Am a serious buyer. http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...093&DL=2440 Was thinking of getting as a short term runabout cos its somewhat affordable. Most importantly, will be breakdown as much as what ppl say? Is maintaining it difficult and are parts hard to get locally? I dun mind the occasional hiccup, just don't want a car that will leave my gf stranded by the side of the road. Any opinions/comments are welcomed. Thnx!
  6. Kinda wary of Italian cars. Had Alfa before have lotsa problems though it was high on the passion quotient. How about Renault? Will I be walking into, the same kinda problems I had with alfas ifi get a Renault? Eyeing the Renault Megane RS...

  8. Tried opening the rear driver side window and suddenly heard a loud CLARK as if something broke. Now the window kept 'sinking' down. SO how much to repair/replace this crappy power window?

  10. Hey peeps, just doing a interest check. Who is onz for another group shoot soon?
  11. Hihi, anyone knows any installer who had done ICE installation for Alfa Romeo? I'm driving a Alfa Brera which comes with the Blue & Me system, seems like there're very few ICE installers who're familiar with it. Will appreciate if anyone can recommend any to me!! Thanks in advance!
  12. Bought from the heart, not the mind..... Just signed on the sales agreement moments ago and I wanna know which WS would you send your AR to? I guess that the few WS that service Alfa will be as Alfa Sportivo, Alfa City & City Motors. I phoned them up to check on the service history of my car & at one point of time, AS was servicing her but they dont wish to review the last owner's details to me.... Later on, I had spoke Tony about the new car and he had said that it is time to have the timing belt change.... And I should be sending the car over to him within the next few days. Any reviews, things to note and the WS etc????

    Alfa Romeo

So much talk abt Massa more likely to be more agressive in marketing ARomeos (in the expense of leaving Fiats behind)...wondering if any ARomeo's owners here can comment on its performance and especially on its reliability? I will be tempted to save up more money to get a 156 (or 157?.. or maybe 146 if no enough money) in the next 12 months if Massa is indeed taking a keen interest in selling this car. Reason I asked is because of the bad reviews from friends' friends that the Alfa Romeo is rather crap in reliability and it gives you more headache than the joy and jubilation in owning one. Can owners comment on ARomeos in general here? THANKS!
  15. Hey Bros, Anyone had any experience with the Alfa GTV (1996)? I have to say its got killer looks but I guess its what under the hood that counts. Would love to hear your comments esp those on chronic problems, maintenance and servicing. Thanks!!
  16. Hi guys.. let me have the honour to start part 2 of the 159 thread since the previous thread has been locked due to its ginormousity.
  17. i have heard that the onboard computer for the gearbox are not very responsive under urban conditions. This is especially so in 1st/2nd gears during traffic jam. is it true? any owner in sg have any comment on it?!
  18. For the benefit of all: Technically, all engines including Alfas requires topping up as some stage. The current generation of Alfa JTS engines don't consume as much engine oil compared to the old Alfa Twin Spark Engine....Why? This is because the engine is designed this way and it is definitely not an issue. In the Twin Spark engine, there is a spray bar right under every Piston Crown, it sprays engine oil under the Crown to cool the pistons on high revs / heat. Because the temp is high when sprayed, small percentage of engine oil tends to evaporate and lost via exhaust manifold. If you ever owned a 145, 146, 147, 155, 156, GT and etc, the Owner's Manual will state "Engine Oil Consumption is expected at approximately 1 Litre per 1,000 miles." Yes, factory says it is normal. In addition, Alfa has been working with Selenia to develop specific engine oil (eg: Selenia 40k and Selenia Racing) that has anti evaporating detergent which helps to prevent evaporation of engine oil during engine operations at high revs / heat and also allow re-circulation of oil back to the sump. Of course that doesn't mean 100% eradication of this engine oil consumption. A lot of different or majority of engine oils out there does not have anti evaporating detergent added hence oil consumption is higher compared to Selenia. The Owner's Manual also recommends high vecosity eg: for my previous 147, it states: Factory Recommends 10w 60 Selenia Oil for a 2 Litre car....yes, a 2 Litre Car. I was shocked. But I chose to use 5w 50. To be exact, I was using Mobil 1's 5w 50 since day one and the oil consumption? Slightly better than normal 5w 40 oil. The only time it consumes oil is after a run in MY, I need to top up at least 400 to 600ml of engine oil the next day. This is perfectly normal.
  19. Hi to all alfa owners, My warranty will be expiring soon so I am looking for a reliable workshop as i will not be going back to agent. I know there are a couple of workshops in sin ming specialising in Alfas, namely alfa sportivo, alfa city and city motors. I would like to solicit feedback on them in regards to price range, service standards, parts( Original/oem) they use etc.. any other input appreciated. Could PM me if not convenient to post your frank opinions...thanks...

Any bro has info / feedbacks on this rare model? Many thanks in advance. I have only seen the model about 2-3 times on the road about 4-5 years ago.
