  1. Hi, I'm preparing to change sport cam for my 147, has anyone here have any comments and suggestions on this matter? Thanks
  2. Hi all appreciate your feedback .
  3. Based on today's papers, the Alfa Romeo 159 with diesel engine is coming. It mentioned that it would be the 1.9L JTDM model. Did not say whether it would be the 16V one or 8V ones. If it is 16V, it will be 150bhp with 320nm of torque. Very good for local road condition. What is great news for me is that it will comes with traditional automatic gearbox, not silly-speed (which I hate). Wooohoooo. With the additional diesel tax of around S$2375. Plus $1090 of regular road tax a year, this works out to be $3465 total tax per year. Would you bite?
  4. Dear fellow Alfisti, a whole new range of events/parties/meetups have been planned. The first of which is this MEGA MEET UP, where we would like to call upon everyone and anyone who owns an Alfa Romeo Car to come meet one another, and get to know one another, in a very romantic beach-side setting: Date: SUNDAY, 01 May 2011 Venue: Pasir Ris Park BBQ Pit # 43 Time: 5pm till late Cost per person: $10 only, very cheap... *children below 12yrs free of charge* Note: **There will be a car grooming competition, and $10 petrol vouchers each will be presented to the 5 most well groomed cars.
  5. Hello. You chased me from level 1 all the way up to nearly the 10th floor in shaw centre while i was slowly looking for a parking lot. During this time, you Revved your engine and almost touched my bumper on several occassions. I did not react, because you are scum. But what you did next is reckless and out of mind. You overtook my car inside the carpark at ramming speed, then almost hit the corner and ran away. After that I chased you up. I had no intention of letting you get away. You endangered my car, and my body. You knew I had an in car camera and i recorded every thing. So what were you thinking when you stopped your car with me behind? Perhaps: Oh shoot, im caught, now i have to get out of my car and whack this person? Well, im glad you chose to just stay in your car and drive off. If you had come out, this footage would be on the front page of straits times. FYI. you probably stopped because you saw my car camera on the windscreen, but too late for you. Video is in post processing as I need to convert it from MP4/AAC to AVI or it will not sync. Will post shortly.
  6. Hi guys, As you all know, we will be setting up a new Alfa Romeo Club section under Car Clubs. We need two more mods to help out Le_Stig in the running of the new section, so this poll is to decide who you guys feel should be appointed. I will leave this poll open for one week, and the two nominees with the most votes by then will be appointed mods together with Le_Stig. Thank you for your cooperation. Ragingbull

  11. Hi all, Due to popular request, we will be setting up an Alfa Romeo Club section under Car Clubs soon. Before that is done however, we would like to invite you guys to offer some suggestions. Firstly, what are the sub-forums you would like to see within the Alfa Romeo Club. There will be a General section, for everything under the sun. But we will also be looking to add up to three more sub-forums, so do post in this thread what you would like them to be. The second thing we would like to request is to nominate potential moderators for the new Alfa Romeo Club. Le_Stig will be appointed as the first mod, so we will need two more to assist him. Feel free to put forward any names which you think will be suitable for the position. At the end of this week (Friday), we will collate the names and start a poll, and the two persons with the most votes will be appointed as the moderators for the new Alfa Romeo Club alongside Le_Stig. Thank you for your help. Ragingbull
  12. Any myths buster here wanna help me out? I being toying the idea of getting a second hand 159 or even Alfa GT since 2 cars back, what hold me back was the headache that it might bring. My friend had a Fiat Punto Manual, the injector keep going up lorry not sure why, ordering it from Italy took 1months+ and the car sits at Massa motor for like 1month+ People tell me Alfa cars not reliable in SG, spoil here spoil there, anyone wanna share your experience? How bad it is compared to BMW? some tell me BMW very reliable, mechanic tell me stay away from it. Alfa? i think Mechanic will be even more against it. The resale value of Alfa, Saab, Volvo are really not too gd, that makes sense to buy 1 and drive all the way till scrap but is it reliable? or time spend in workshop = time spend driving it?
  13. Check this out fellow Alfisti and watch-lovers http://www.luxist.com/2010/07/09/chopard-m...fa-romeo-watch/ Could be the 8c red on the hands Any lobang?
  14. Icy-cold yet disturbingly sexy actress Uma Thurman and William Shakespeare's verses "We are such stuff as dreams are made on" are the key highlights of Alfa Romeo's advertising campaign for the new Giulietta hatchback that will kick off with a TV commercial in Italy on 16 May. Created by Leo Burnett, the international campaign on TV, press, posters, radio and web will run across all the main countries in Europe. It is said to play on the parallelism between the star of movies such as Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. In the TV commercial that was entirely filmed in the USA, Uma Thurman is said to play the roles of five different women who symbolize the different souls of the car. The new Ford Focus-sized Giulietta goes on sale on May 22 and will be available with a raft of engines including a 1.4-liter petrol with 120HP and 170HP, a 1.6-liter diesel with 105HP and a range-topping 1.75-liter petrol with 235HP.
  15. The TZ3 Corsa was built to commemorate 90 years of collaboration between Zagato and Alfa Romeo, and was commissioned by a German Alfa Romeo Zagato collector, Martin Kapp, while attending The Zandvoort Tribute, an event that honours Zagato. The TZ3 Corsa is a two-seater, rear-wheel drive supercar with a 4.2-litre V8 mid-mounted engine that produces 414bhp. The car has a mono shell tubular chassis made of carbon fibre as well as a body handmade from aluminium, meaning that the car weighs in at just 850kg. The TZ3 Corsa is fitted with 18-inch wheels that are matched with Pirelli PZero sport performance tyres. The engine calibration can be manually adjusted, and when combined with a six-speed sequential gearbox, allows the car to go from 0-100km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, and reach a top speed of over 300km/h.
  16. hi all!! between these 2 car brands, which do you prefer?? German reliability or Italian style?? as far as i know, these 2 car brands have rivaling cars at around the same price...
  17. Finally , a Alfa supercar . "Expect the 8C GTA to tip the scales at 1,450kg
  18. This new Italian beau.... Check out this webby: http://www.autoblog.com/2006/09/15/more-in...alfa-romeo-149/ This Alfa 149 is probably be released in year 2009?
  19. Simply based on looks, which one will you choose?
  20. Alfa's car christening department has gone a little mad. First, with their MiTo, now the Giulietta. Bringing back the illustrious and beautiful name from the 70s. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I think the name is brilliant! It's just a feeling that they were trying a little too hard with the Mito. But the Guilietta.. that sounds fantastico! The 147's replacement will be showcased at the 2010 Geneva Motor show and this will only be available with 5 doors. So obviously it's meant for people like me who like hot hatches. This is definitely one. Just look at it! Its trademark Alfa triangular grille and those headlamps which are slightly reminiscent of the Alfa Romeo 8C (like the Mito), only better looking. And those gorgeous rims... a la Mercedes SLR. This car in white is the current hatchback killer. Boring Golf step aside... It's going to be available with 4 turbo engines, most notably the 170bhp 1.4l Multi-Air petrol engine. The car will also come with lots of electronic gadgetry: Electronic stability control, Dynamic steering torque and the new DNA selector from the Mito. So that's quite a lot of kit for a car this size with a 5 star NCAP safety rating. Can't wait for it. Can you?
  21. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpr...t_o_n_mini.html Die hard alfa romeo enthusiast's : Fancy a MiTo GTA ??? "The MiTo is getting mightier! Alfa Romeo has confirmed that a GTA model will top its all-new supermini range. Speaking at the launch of the standard MiTo
