Saw this SAE40 at a petrol station. Does anyone use this kind of engine oil nowadays? What are the pros and cons compared to say a 10W40? It's mineral oil though.

Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone here ever complain all the way to GM before on their chevy cars? You see, my Optra now has a problem. When driving off from cold, there is a loud noticable metallic whining sound (when I step on the gas). Sounded like those high pitch remote control cars. The sound will go softer as I drive, but the problem is, this sound is getting louder by the day. Today, even without stepping on the gas, I could already hear the sound after I on the engine. I brought it to SA last week (and the car was there for a week), and even GM came down to see it and they recognised it as an "increased in tolerance of the bearings" in the auto transmission . But they say that it is wear and tear issue and it is "normal". How could a metallic whining sound from the transmission be normal? I have no idea. The car is still within warranty. I wrote to GM to their aftersales manager but no reply so far. I don't think SA could do much unless they have adequate support from GM in this case. Anyone went up to GM also?

Dear Bros and Sis, Can anyone comment on the above brand? My brother did the above all plus installation at $1088nett. Its component speakers, with 4 channel Amp (600watt) and a 12" sub with box plus all cables. Thanks.

Just wanna share the incident i'v came across yesterday... This was what happened, when i went to one of the shxll petrol station in yishun yesterday... I went to purchase parking coupon and wanted to purchase 4 booklets... 2 booklets of half and 1hour... The counter boy told me that i'm only allow to buy a mix of 2 booklets... WTF first time i come across such rule... So i ask him what if i walk out and come in again, can i still buy another 2 more booklets?? He reply said, "SORRY CANNOT" as this was told by the management that all customer are only allow to purchase a mix of 2 booklets... End up i just and walk off... In fact i wanted to say "Ask your manager come out and tell me what's the reason?? But just dun want to make his life difficult as he told me in a polite way.... Hope someone can share if this ever happened to them... Thanks
