  1. If anyone of you read this or your friend is reading this. Appreciate you let the fellow cyclist know. SAFETY 1st! Your group is about 20 in size if not wrong. With majority consist of Caucasian & few local. You have always occupied the whole left lane and we driver is kind enough not to kick a din since you are in a big group. All I need is you stick to the left lane and do not come over to RIGHT LANE!!!! get that? LEFT LANE only! not 1st lane. (I am a cyclist too!) I encounter a group of cyclist almost every Friday morning while driving along Holland road towards Orchard road. Right at the junction of Botanical Garden, a couple of cyclist suddenly diverted from the main group. Went to 1st lane and carry on cycling, and without any blinker at all. I drove past their and shouted at them "Please keep to left lane. Left lane only!" It really spoil my Friday mood! so inconsiderate and selfish (I guess they want to filter into Tangling road and lazy to to use pedestrian crossing at the junction right in front of Tanglin Shopping Center)

  13. Hi all, I happen to came aross some interesting data on the subject matter, and would like to share with you all. Data was collected for Y2008. Refer: http://www.instituteofmaterials.com/collection.htm IOM they purchase the engine oil from the market around the world, and do their own testing. Sort of like an independent organisation. We can see the viscosity trend among Asia-pacific, Europe, and North America in the charts below. Asia Pacific Europe North America Notice that in Asia Pacific countries, the engine oil is more spread out. 50 weight account for 23%, 40 weight account for 40%, and 30 weight account for 18%. Nevertheless, still slightly towards thicker side. In Europe countries, the engine oil is mostly 40 weight which account for 67%, and 30 weight 19%. Perhaps this is why most continental cars specify ACEA A3, because of their preference for thicker oil. In North America, the engine oil are mostly at the thinner end, with 20 weight account for 11%, 30 weight account for 52%, 40 and 50 weight account for 26%. Also note that their oil there are very cheap as compared to Asia Pacific and Europe countries.

  18. Too many times have we heard people complaining about every little thing. It sure makes life rather depressing. On a different note, why not we give credit and compliments to deserving service staff whom you have encountered recently; with this I hope we can also learn to be more gracious and appreciative of the good around us. I've also learnt that if you like to be served well, one also has to be polite :)
