has anyone tried attaching a class AB amplifier to non amplified speakers? the flow diagram is as follows, computer line out> amplifier> unpowered speakers. wonder what is the difference like? my understanding is that the difference here with the conventional arrangement of using speaker out is where amplification is done. either in the subwoofer amplifier circuitry or the amplifier. thanks

i bought my set about 14 month ago and today is suddenly gone crazy, the volumn will automatic turn to the highest 40, even if i press down the volumn, it will automatic turn up to the max again, this happen in all the mode CD / Radio or even SD card. Anyone face similar problem before? any advise?

Hi all if you intend to do SP for your doors, do not use the Dynaquest brand from Foon Audio. The shop is located at Macpherson Road. Their SP sheet is made in Korea and the material will melt under the hot sun. Considering to replace stock audio unit with iPad. Conditions is must be able to remove iPad when needed. Easily slot in and out for the iPad. No cables dangling. I am looking for sth like this >> But no need so advanced still need bluetooth connection for keyboard at rear seats all these. Juz a basic slot to plug iPad in. Once plugged in auto connected to speakers and also charged. Basic system anyone know anywhere is SG can do? Roughly how much is the cost?

Do you like me, have a habit of listening to songs via your computer? If yes, then my advice might be relevant to you. chances are that you might be using either iTunes, winamp, Songbird or WMP etc. Somehow even though the PC audio systems available on the marketight have improved by leaps and bounds, the audio output is still somehow less than desirable. I for instance, desire more oomph in the bass frequency range, less tinny sounds in the treble range. Generally some songs sound muddy and ruddy and audio come across as less than being crystal clear. Still i am not those people whom you associate as Audiophiles. Sure, i appreciate audio technica earphones over your typical run of the mill earphones and i can differentiate songs which are being processed using a joint stereo channel or separate channels. However in the shop, i can't differentiate and thus appreciate the sound quality superiority offered by a $69 audio technica earphones over a $38 earphones. All i heard was that the bass sounded fuller thats all. I have been using this audio DSP (digital signal processing) plugin by SRS labs. It is called SRS Audio Sandbox. The difference between this plugin and the typical plugins found on the market is that usually plugins are written for specific music players e.g. SRS iWoW for iTunes (for mac) etc. This SRS audio Sandbox is a holistic PC solution that if allowed to start as a running process, will enhance your audio experience from bootup to shutdown. I personally have never looked back after using this gem. My own preferred settings is as follows, Lest you think i am using a good (and expensive) set of high fidelity speakers, nah i am just using a cheapo set of Creative SBS 560 5.1 speakers. I remember carting it away from Creative for $69 lol. It has been serving me well for 5 years and running. For those bros using iTunes and have been experiencing poor playback, i have another peice of advice. Firstly go to iTunes> View>Show equalizer. Tweak it till it is like this. But for my case, i decreased the output i.e. the overall amplification to -2 dBi since i am already on audio Sandbox. My cheap and good advice.
