Hi All Bought a WISH from BM recently, and asked the SE not to install the Toyota Brand 2DIN Audio on my ride so that I can install a DVD Audio without the need to replace it. Thus, would like to sell away the Toyota Brand Audio 2DIN SCD. Its brand new and carton box not even open yet. This is exactly the same audio you can find in current Vios, Corolla LX grade, Wish standard grade that are from BM. Looking to sell at $150SGD, call me at 8198 4612. XXX Car Audio/Acc shop in Turf Club city. This is what happen, Previously, I have paid this shop a visit when I am looking ro a replacement Rear View Cam. The Shop installer told me that they are selling a Toyota OEM type for $140 C&C or $170 with installation. Since I have sourcing for a replacement, it just mean that all the necessary wire connection is already there. The installer just need to remove the old cam, enlarge the exsisting hole and hook up the new Cam. Looking at this perpective, I told the installer what about if I bring my own Camera Here? ( I saw one Cmos Camera selling in Ebay for less then SGD$30) The installer reply that installation with outside cam is $30. Great. With this in mind, I left the shop and return two days ago with the ebay item. This time, the installer honour the $30 charge but keep saying, this type of Camera how to compare to us. Then he and another guy starts laughing at my brought in Cam. They started hooking up then this guy says, Wire not long enough, needs extension. Top up $10. Fine, I says ok being the fact that I am really too lazy to DIY myself like what I did for my old Rear View Camera. This is not the end, after installing the Camera, the same guy told me that the View is not good, unable to see my rear bumper protrution thus cant gauge actual rear distance. Then he offer another $10 top up to re-align the Camera. I was like, what the Heck. Cant he re-align it before setting all the glue in. This guy says since the Camera is not from them, they cant gauge in the first place thus he set the glue based on his judgement. I immediately Say NO. After i rejected them, the 2 guys started numbling among themseleves and I was mad at the way they handle this installation. $30 should means including all setup/alignment and materials. I left this place in a fit of anger and I did the realignment myself today. I used Penknife to cut the glue, took out the Cam, aligned it then held it in place by silicon. i have lost confidence in these installers after this incident. Whatever I can DIY, i will never want to approach any installer. Shop name will be kept confidential. This shop sells kenwood Audio so some bros may know these guys.

Hi all, For those who are keen, you may refer to the link below Witson Audio System for Octy A5 This brand Witson often OEM for VW car and receive quite good review from the vagsg forum. I have asked about the pricing: USD 325 for the system (with built-in GPS, and IGO map for singapore) + USD 25 (rear view camera) + USD 70 (shipping by DHL). It is supposed to fix seamlessly into Octy A5, but I suspect may need another bracket which can be ordered online from those European parts supplier. I am not really looking to buy now, but since I come across this website, just share share only. And btw, it is touchscreen ha!

Hi! I have a couple of noob questions! Please advise! I have a pioneer dvd HU in my car and when i scroll through the settings, there's this HPF (High Pitch Frequency) option where u can off or set to like 80hz, etc. May I know what is this for?? And also what's the difference between 'Normal' and 'Reverse' option for my subwoofer and how the frequency setting affects the output? Cheers!

I bought a JL Audio CleanSweep OEM sound processor. The device supposed to flatten the frequency response of the OEM head unit before feeding it to the add-on Amplifier. Supposed continental or Lexus have better stock audio system but below is my understanding: 1.Understand that the standard BMW one is only soso but the Logic 7 is said to be good. 2.Standard Premium Sound System from Volvo is nothing to shout about but the models fitted with Dynaaudio system said to be top notch (BTW,which model or above comes with Dynaaudio system?) 3. Once test drove the new Merc C class and apparently the audio system isn't really impressive...donno if E or S class have a more superior system though? 4. Heard a Lexus GS300 with Mark Levinson system playing CD in showroom and sounds really good! But then, what bout the non-Mark Levinson system with say, Std IS model? 5. What about Audi/Jaguar/Volkswagen? Same audio system across all models or premium audio system for higher model? Good sound or also soso? anyone?

hi, need some help in setting up my home theatre system. my friend gave me a set (dvd player with the speakers) but without the cables.. so wan to ask which cables to get to connect the player to my tv. im confused. there are 2 types of 3 colors, 1 is the red, yellow and white and the other is red, blue and green. so which one do i have to get? do i have also to get the 2 colors, red and white one too? wat is for wat? pls enlighten tis not-so-techie soul. :) thanks.
