Local actor Dai Peng passed away two days ago (May 12) at the age of 75. He had been diagnosed with lymphoma two weeks ago, the same cancer that fellow veteran Huang Wenyong had also suffered from. About a month ago, Dai Peng, whose real name is Dai Dexin, told his son Dai Li Yao, 36, that he felt strange and lethargic, reported Shin Min Daily News. Two weeks later, hospital tests on his bone marrow came back with his diagnosis: Lymphoma. The doctor also told them the prognosis was not optimistic, and chemotherapy had to be done as soon as possible. However, Dai Peng experienced side effects to the chemotherapy drugs, so treatment was stopped upon recommendation by the doctor. Dai Peng had starred in MediaCorp dramas Kopi-O II and Driven By A Car, amongst others. Mediacorp veteran Huang Wenyong had passed away earlier of the same cancer. He was 60 years old. Hello folks, I need advice. I am considering giving away all the furnitures in my house (except for my master bed)....yes everything. The furniture are all well maintained (less than 4 years), some like the dinning table chair still have plastic protective covers intact. I also have half a storeroom of toys to give away. All in good conditions. I do not intend to sell them as since I will not get much for it, why not donate to those who can benefit from it. But my problem is short of Salvation Army, I can't think of any other organization. Any advice on this? Thanks!

Lately, I have noticed an increase in the number of people, especially foreign workers, who sleep on the benches or grass or camp at the beach, especially during weekends or public holidays. During weekends or public holidays, the beach is full of camping foreign workers, some with makeshift cooking facilities. So, I dread going for my walk on Mondays or after a public holiday because the beach is littered with rubbish and leftovers of these campers. I also discovered two people using a bench in the Siglap Park Connector next to Victoria Junior College to sleep, every day for weeks. When I informed the neighbourhood police post that they were making the bench their sleeping place, I was told that they were not doing anything illegal. Yong Lee Sen (Ms)

"He was truly one of our greatest fencing masters and a world-class film fight director and choreographer, and both the fencing community and film world will miss him," said Philip Bruce, president of the academy. Although arch-villain Vader was played by David Prowse and voiced by James Earl, Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill later revealed that "Bob Anderson was the man who actually did Vader's fighting." "It was always supposed to be a secret, but I finally told (director) George (Lucas) I didn't think it was fair any more," Hamill told Starlog magazine in 1983. "Bob worked so bloody hard that he deserves some recognition." Anderson wielded the famous saber in two of the three original Star Wars films, "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi". Wow...take me a few days to accumulate 25 posts so that I can start a new thread. Anyway, I am very new to Cars, and apologize if my questions have been asked thousand times already. I am currently owning a 2nd hand car for 8 month, and I am planning either to sell it away to get some cash or trade in for another 2nd hand car. . So my first question is when I sell away or trade in my current car, what will happen to my current bank loan and insurance? Next thing, when I bought my car, it cost me around 35K, and when I look it up in Sgcarmart, the same model same year is still around that price, does that mean I can sell away my car at the price I bought it? Or even higher since I have changed all tyres and did major servicing, changed timing belt etc. Any advise? Also I am wonderring should I sell to car dealer, post my own selling in Sgcarmart, or just trade in when I buy the 2nd car that time. Appreciate your help :)
