  8. I have a 1.3 (A) toyota registered in 02 Oct 2002. Was quoted trade in price of $17,000. See details below. It is better to change car now or wait and take chances. Anyone feel that COE will go down even by a couple of thousands? Planning to buy Renault Fluence. Most likely will keep the car for 10 years. How is Renault Fluence? How is the reliability? Im looking for a reliable car. Thank you. 12. Hi guys! Supposed a car is already a COE renewed car. And the current renewed COE lasts till 2013. If I renew another 10 years from now, do I get the balance 2 years plus COE rebated to me? And then I pay the new COE? Is it offsetted? Or is it just wiped out and I just pay the new 10 years.
  13. When I renewed my policy ard Dec last year, Aviva was the lowest at ~$1060 with 30% ncd, next Directasia and a few standard others. Thus went for the lowest quote. Terminated my policy with them in July with about 7months and 7days of insurance coverage and hence emailed them for a refund. Imagine my disgust when I was told that their refund rate goes like this, as given by them: If you look at their table, so long as you use more then 1 day past a month, they will round it up to the next month. Thus, whether I utilised 7months 1day or 8months, it's considered the same. Is this reasonable? On top of that, they charge me 80% of usage when I had only used 59.7% of the policy term (218/365 days)! As a result, instead of getting back 40% ($424) or slightly less than that (some insurance companies give 100% or 85% of balance prorated), I'll only receive 20% or ~$213. It's my fault that I was ignorant of this but I hope the rest of you will at least know abt this, if you dun alr know, and question the insurance company on their refund policy before committing. I've learnt my lesson and will chk on the next one I buy.

  15. On my way back to Jurong, I saw 5 cars packed together including 2 taxis on PIE. I wonder how many are Aviva's customers? What if all are Aviva's customers? Then no need to claim liao, save the trouble. all laywer immediatel and fight the case until you got nightmare everyday!
  16. GLARE Any reviews or feebdbacks please??? Thanks..
  17. Think twice before you speed By S Ramesh | Posted: 07 June 2011 0956 hrs SINGAPORE: The Police have started trials of a new mobile automated vehicle screening system. The system is used to capture vehicle registration plates using special digital cameras for identifying vehicles of interest. These include vehicles reported stolen or involved in criminal activities. The cameras are mounted on top of police vehicles and is able to read vehicle registration plates while the police vehicle is stationary during road blocks or on the move during patrols. Police say the new system cuts down manual recording processes and improves productivity. The new system was exhibited at the Police workplan seminar on Tuesday. - CNA/ck http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1133665/1/.html
  18. Osama said China is the world's only country we absolutely cannot mess with. The reason is that Al-Qaeda terrorist had made 8 attacks on the Chinese with the following results:- 1 - One person was to explode a bomb in Beijing Xizhimen (the main northwest gate of Beijing) but he lost his way in the three-dimentional traffic bridge. 2 - One person in Shanghai was to take a bus to explode a suicide bomb in the bus, but it was so crowded he could not get into the bus for 2 hours. 3 - One person was to bomb a supermarket in Wuhan but found that the bomb remote control was stolen. 4 - One person wanted to bomb government buildings in Chengdu, but was stopped at the door by the security staff and arrested as an East Turkistan separatist and was beaten and interrogated. 5 - One person succeeded in bombing a Hebei mine, with hundreds of people dead and wounded, and then returned to the Al-Qaeda center, but even after 6 months, failed to see any news reports on the success of the bombing. He was considered by the organization to have claimed a false victory and was executed. (Poor guy) 6 - One person had tried to bomb Guangzhou, but as he came off the train, a motorcycle robber (flying car robber) snatched his bag (containing the bomb) from him. 7 - One person who arrived in Xi'an lost contact, and was later found at the hospital in a state of coma. Doctors said it was the result of him eating not only "black-hearted" food products, but he also drank fake alcohol, and possibly turn into a "vegetable" (vegetative state) 8 - Later, Osama tried to send a female terrorist to blow Hainan Island, but was cheated into prostitution.

The Government will come out with improvement/development/project plans for individual GRC. - Ang Mo Kio (safety screen doors in MRT station / time for strengthening ties through community sports) - Pasir Ris-Punggol (5-year development plan / focus on five key themes - family, youth, parents, home and community. Now then focus?) - Hong Kah North (S$163 million improvement project over the next five years) Really is KKNBCCB. Everytime GE chut stunt. Want to use "improvement plans" to get votes. PUI.

  24. it's for my iPad. This app i bought is a free app from the US iTunes store (not avail in SG App store). And it's got some in-app purchases. But because my US iTunes account isn't linked to a US credit card, the only way to buy is to top up my US iTunes account with a US iTunes gift card. Where do I get a US iTunes gift card? Can't believe I have to search high and low for very low purchase (few dollars only). I googled. But the only local guy who provides it isn't responding to my smses (itunesgiftcard . biz/Contact_Us.html) Argh. Lousy.
