  1. so stressful, must chop seat early... this new bidding with fresh quota to start on 2/5 (Tue) n to close on 5/5 (Thu)!! happy long weekend to all!!
  2. Since quota is out, I start the ball rolling.
  3. Hi all, Just a general query that if one intend to renew coe, we cannot use self bid right through the open budding system. We need use the 3 bids average px determined by LTA? Thanks
  4. Hi all, doing my homework on selling my cars. I prefer not to trade in. Any feedback on using the following to sell our cars? 1) Wheeldeal - new player, FOC quote 2) Quotz - need to pay for service, they help you take pictures and arrange for bidding, can view bidding process "live" 3) List on SGCarmart as owner selling - more control, can sell direct cutting out the middleman, more hassle from the transfer work? Are there any difference in the method of choice in selling depending on the type and model of cars? eg. bread and butter popular models (altis, sunny, civic) just sell to highest and hand dealer eg. rarer less common and niche models (saab, chryser) list and sell to direct buyers who appreciate such cars Thanks!
  5. Anybody tried before? I just tried this evening. Yeah. Try for fun, see whether can get or not. How much did I bid for? Check out this video for the experience. Take note, once you bid, the deposit is $10,000. The non-refundable fee is $2. If I get the COE, I will have 6 months to register the car. LTA only collects the rest of the COE when I register the car. Sounds cool to me.
  6. note: figures for May-Jul r of v early projections (could b more). ready for more fun albeit most r expecting a rebound? hopefully, jz a small rebound...
  7. Seeking advice from those that have done this before .... 1. I'm planning to bid for my own car license plate number. 2. AD usually include 6 mths road tax, license plate etc in car price Questions : a. If I bid for my own plate number, what kind of rebates can I expect from AD? b. Do I need to inform SE before he bids COE on my behalf or only when car is ready for registration? Appreciate all advice. Thanks !
  8. great to b bck, no place like home n i missed my car!! projected quota updated for Feb-Apr 2016, unchanged for earlier projection for A & B!!!
  9. up again?? to me, it's quite stable since new cevs was effective in Jul. would b interesting to see how mkt response when more quota is available next yr. ;)
  10. My first time starting thread. Lets talk about new car in the market. Why COE so expensive..? I did abit of brain storming, this might be 1 of the reason why its forever so high.. AD bidding up high.. as they are earning base on commission. how much to earn from 110k & a 40k with 0.2% - 0.5% ++ SO maybe they bid up high as well as to easily secure a ticket for their own payroll. *if we stop AD to bidding behalf for us, this might improve alittle bit more.. instead AD keep calling us & told us to top up abit more to get the COE. & second solution is, not to allow AD to keep the COE bidding. I heard that AD are able to keep it for some grace period. AD
