Hi all, Still in Hari Raya mood? No one asking about COE at all? Anyway, COE bidding starts again today: 1) No major event, execpt SGD has climb back to SGD1 = 80 JPY ver SGD 1 = 76 JPY during the sub-prime crisis. 2) Stock market still cheong like mad 3) COE for Cat B drop about $2.4k last round but it seems the focus is on Cat A where quite a few promo are targetting Cat A cars 4) Quite a few talk on car sales slow down due to lesser can de-registered, not very sure how true

Hi all, COE bidding time again: For this round: 1) Still in "7th month" 2) 1st COE exercise after Cat A COE crash to $8118 last round, and those car dealers only reduce price by mere $4k even when COE reduce by close to $9k. 3) Some car make increases car price by $1.5k in about one week time, so the demand for Cat A is confirm high . Anyone want to make a bet?

Hi guys, COE bidding again: For this round: 1) 1st COE exercise into 7th month, any effect? 2) Stock market is damn volatile recently and will this has any effect on COE? 3) Japanese Yen had appreciate quite a lot compare to SGD, from 1SGD=80 Yen rise to 1SGD=75Yen. I think this should have some effect on COE since the cost of Japan make cars will be increase too.

I am thinking of bidding my own Cat-B COE (because even though ADs believe the coming COE will be low they did not reflect that on the package price). Question: Does the date of the 10-year COE start when I got my successful bid or it starts only I register a car with it? Thanks.

Hi all, COE time again. For this round: 1) 7% GST finally kick in, will we see a cool down due to this? Hi all, COE time again Anyone bidding for this round? Are we seeing 7th consecutive increase in COE premium? June 2007 First Open Bidding Exercise For Certificates Of Entitlement The details of the June 2007 first open bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) are as follows: Tender opens: Monday, 4 June 2007, 12 noon Tender closes: Wednesday, 6 June 2007, 4.00 pm Tender results: Wednesday, 6 June 2007 (Available on the www.onemotoring.com.sg website) The total quota available for this tender is 5,313 for the following vehicle categories: NON-TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES: Category A : Cars (1,600cc and below) & taxis 2,159 Category B : Cars (1,601cc and above) 1,132 Category D : Motorcycles 482 TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES: Category C : Goods Vehicles and Buses 446 Category E : Open Category 1,094 COEs for categories C and E are valid upon receipt until 14 September 2007 whilst COEs for categories A, B and D are valid until 14 December 2007.

Hi all, COE bidding again. For this round: 1) Last COE exercise before the new and smaller COE quota kick in. 2) A lot of people did not get their COE last round. 3) GST will be increase to 7% in July. So, how much COE would be for Cat A, B and E?

This for sure means that COE will be on up trend but the big Question will be up by how much. This COE is 2nd last COE bidding exercise before new COE quota start in April, the problem is till now, no news on how big/small is the new quota As usual, anyone want to make a bet on Cat A, B and E?

Would like to find out some advices from you guys... signed with BM on 24 Feb and the SE told me that it is unlikely to obtain the coe (7/3) this time round. Is it true? wat do u guys think?

http://app.lta.gov.sg/motoring_vo_bid.asp?...Group=SGT0#SGT0 Look at the above url. I notice that there are alot of numbers not on the list. Does that mean those numbers emitted wont ever exist or are they already being bidded by someone? If so, how do i know what is the current bid for the number i desire? I searched around and i cant find a thread which answers my questions.. Thanks in advance.
