  1. Hi guys, I am planning to install wide body kit to make my Neo looks like this: I know its not LTA friendly but I still want to go for it. Other than looks, what are the benefits of wide body? Does it make the car more stable at corners?
  2. The body found near the foot of one of the three towers at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) on Wednesday night is believed to be that of a 33-year-old Indonesian man. Discovered at about 9pm in the outdoor area of a restaurant in the integrated resort , he is believed to have fallen from as high as the 52nd storey of MBS tower two. It is said that his body had broken into several parts due to the force of the fall and the curved exterior of the building, making it hard for first responders to the scene to determine the gender of the body. Parts of his body were also apparently found from the 18th floor down and his legs were recovered about 10m apart on the ground level. 3. Guys, how to reduce bodyroll? What to install? Went to track and when i turned, my hand also had to hold on to my handbrake to support my body as the car was rolling with the turn? Is it bodyroll? And are there legal slick tyres for the track? Driving a swift sports that belongs to a friend though.
  4. Mercedes-Benz plans on introducing a new set of modifications for their line of cars. The MercedesSport program will first be available on the E-Class Cabrio, Coupe, Estate, and Saloon once the aero kit is unveiled in Geneva next week. Amongst the available options are new 18-inch light alloys in glossy black and silver. A new front apron, front spoiler, and matching side skirts are available as well as roof and decklid spoilers. The new rear apron looks like it includes a cosmetic diffuser. These items are "add ons," and not a replacement to the original body parts. Sports brakes with grey calipers and a stiffer, sportier suspension are also options. The new suspension includes short springs that drop the car by 15mm. A perforated leather, four-spoke steering wheel, paddleshifters, and stainless steel pedals and entry sills are all optional upgrades.

  12. it will be calculated based on how much u will earn if u actually prostitute your body at Geylang even though you do not prositute and is a faithful man and woman. 2012 IRAS All one- and two-room owner-occupiers of HDB flats will continue to pay zero property tax in 2012, while those in three room flats will on average pay roughly the same tax as last year. Four- to five-room flats will pay $5 to $29 more for the year. This comes after the Annual Values (AV) of HDB flats are revised upwards with effect from 1 January 2012, reflecting the rise in market values. To mitigate the increase in the property tax payable by lower and middle income households as a result of the AV revision, the Government will give a one-off rebate of $55 to Owner-Occupied HDB flats. This will enable three room flat owners to see little change in property tax payable despite higher flat values. It will also reduce the increase in tax payable for four- and five- room flat owners. AV increase for HDB flats The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) reviews the AVs of all properties including HDB flats annually. The AV is used as a basis to compute the property tax payable. Property tax is calculated at 10% of the AV for non Owner-Occupied homes. For Owner-Occupied homes, property tax payable is calculated at the concessionary tax rates as follows: The AVs of all HDB flats were last revised on 1 January 2010, taking into account the changes in market rents in 2009. They were not revised in 2011 as the increase in HDB market rents in the preceding year was small. Taking 2010 and 2011 together, market rents have risen by around 20 - 28%. Accordingly, the AVs of all HDB flats will be revised from 1 January 2012. One-time Owner-Occupied HDB Flat Rebate for 2012 6 A rebate will be given to all Owner-Occupied HDB Flats to help them offset some of the increase in property tax. The rebate is a fixed amount of $55 or the property tax based on the 2012 AV, whichever is the lower. The rebate will automatically be given to all Owner-Occupied HDB flats. 7 The rebate will not apply to HDB flats that are not owner-occupied, which are currently being taxed at 10%. 8 94% of all HDB flats owners would receive the rebate. Property Tax Changes for Owner-Occupied HDB Homes 9 All one- and two-room owner-occupiers will continue to pay zero property tax in 2012. Owner-occupiers of three-room flats will see no increase on average, while those in four and five room flats and above will see increases in property tax of between $5 and $29 after taking into account the property tax rebate, as shown below: Combined Valuation Notice and Property Tax Bill 10 Most HDB flat owners should receive their property tax notices and bills by the end of this year, enclosed with an explanatory guide on “Property Tax on HDB Flats for 2012” – the guide explains how the property tax payable is calculated and how payment can be made. Property Tax for 2012 is payable by 31 January 2012 11 Property tax has to be paid by 31 January 2012. IRAS encourages property owners to join the GIRO payment scheme to enjoy up to 12 interest-free monthly instalments. Customers of DBS/POSB and OCBC can apply for GIRO via Internet Banking and receive instant approval. 12 Owners can e-file an objection to IRAS if they do not agree with the revised AVs of their properties. Information on payment modes and details of property tax and AV revision are available at www.iras.gov.sg. Taxpayers with enquiries may call 1800-356

  15. Just returned home after getting 2 quotes for some paint rectification works on my car. The first workshop (quite big and established) quoted me $785 and the second workshop (small OMO in a small industrial estate) quoted me $430. I forgot to ask the type of paint that the first workshop uses, but the second workshop is using DuPont Centari paint. My question now is, is $430 a reasonable price to pay? Some pictures below to show the things that need to be rectified, including some small bodywork repairs. All comments are welcome Rear bumper (heat back to shape and respray entire bumper) Rear left door (respray entire door) Front left door (respray entire door, including fixing that mean dent!) 19. Young Malaysian women are apparently not money-minded and materialistic. When it comes to finding a life partner, many female participants at a recent youth forum said they would rather have someone with five 'As' (Affection, Appreciation, Ambition, Acceptance and Attitude) instead of the so-called five 'Bs' (Billions, Bungalow, Benz, Brain and Body). In the long run, I'm sure they would eat their words. What I can infer is that, these women wouldn't mind having an ambitious partner who maybe isn't stable job-wise and monetarily-wise but appreciates them? Surely, they can't be completely not money-minded? Of course, I won't expect my partner to be a billionaire residing in a bungalow driving a Benz, but he must have a stable income at the least? If not, how can I enjoy a random food feast, being the foodie that I am!? In my opinion, it's relatively easy to find someone to give you affection and to appreciate you as you are, especially in the case whereby the female is the sole breadwinner and the guy isn't exactly "brainy" enough to get a high-paying job. Because he's relying on you, and he may have a good heart but where's the stability? To me, it's expected of the guy to accept you as you are and have the characteristics you're looking for in a partner, so that shouldn't be a fixed criteria for a partner. It's almost the same as making the statement "I'm looking to find a guy who isn't abusive." Anyone in their right mind wouldn't want someone like that! I guess in Singapore, it's hard not to be money-minded, especially with regards to the future. I, for one, would mind if my partner gets a lower salary than I do, because of the generalized stereotype that the man is supposed to be the one who "looks after the house." I wouldn't want to be in the compromising position whereby I have to pay for almost everything. And I'd like to think that people do use their materialistic products to show off how well they are doing, which explains why branded goods are more favoured. But that doesn't make it a necessity, most of us can do without these items anyway. http://starblog.stomp.com.sg/post.php?blogid=2252

  22. Hi, Always hear comments about certain cars body very soft while others are much harder. But when I touch those cars in the showroom, they all feel the same. So how do you tell whether a car's body (or the metal used) is hard or soft? Or shall I simply bring a hammer to showrooms next time?
  23. Baffles me as well... From ST Forum: http://www.straitstimes.com/STForum/Online...ory_703082.html Baffled by body find near Istana YESTERDAY'S report ('Decayed body found in drain near Istana grounds') concerned and baffled me. The grounds of the Istana, its surroundings and peripheral roads and byways are supposed to be protected and heavily guarded by auxiliary police officers, Singapore Armed Forces personnel and officers from the Security Command of the Singapore Police Force. I also understand there are round-the-clock perimeter patrols carried out by auxiliary police officers who are tasked with maintaining stringent security standards. Thus it baffles me that none of the auxiliary police officers on perimeter patrols came across the corpse, even when the body was decomposing. It takes about 30 hours for decomposition to occur in this climate and the stench can be detected kilometres away. It is strange that police officers who are trained to be alert did not stumble across the body, let alone smell the decomposition in the air. Lionel De Souza
