  5. Hi guys, I've just collected my brand new Hafei Minz last week end! It's my first car and I love it so much! Sure it's not a fast car BUT it really has lots of space plus I love the rugged, boxy looks; quite different from the curvy curvy cars on the roads today! Anyway, I'm writing my first thread to ask for advice on where to do up my car; I want to add cool body kits to my car! Any recommendations, anyone? I want to do up my car garang garang! I've been scanning through magazines like Hot Stuffs but haven't found anything or anyshop yet! Thanks!

A "karang guni" man, who collects old and discarded items to sell, reportedly found a body in the suitcase when he opened it. Several policemen were seen at the scene this evening. Police said they received a call for assistance at 6:04 pm, and that an upper body without both legs was found in a piece of luggage. Police have classified the case as unnatural death and an investigation is underway. Channel NewsAsia understands the victim is believed to be male. Man

Singapore Civil Defence Force personnel retrieved a man’s body out of the Singapore River on Thursday afternoon. The body was found in the river near 20 Upper Circular Road, according to an SCDF spokesman, adding that they were alerted at 3:53pm. SCDF sent one fire engine and one ambulance to the location, after which, the body was manually retrieved using a rescue line. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the police, who were alerted at about 3:51pm, the man is in his 60s and was found motionless at the said location. The case has been classified as “unnatural death” and investigations are ongoing, they said. According to an eyewitness, the body was found in the river facing JUMBO Seafood Restaurant. Three SCDF officers retrieved the body out of the river at about 4:15pm and took about 30 minutes to do so, Ahmad said. He also said that the body appeared to be that of an old Chinese man wearing long black pants and a light brown shirt unbuttoned at the chest. The eyewitness also said that after the body was taken out of the water, it was placed withing the police tent that was set up in front of the seafood restaurant. 13. Dream or nightmare – you decide. 17-year-old Russian powerlifter Yulia Viktorovna Vins, or Julia Vins, has the face of a perfect doll and the body of someone who could probably beat the snot out of you. Julia is only one of many young Barbie-doll or anime-girl look-alikes, but she is the first I’ve seen with a competitive powerlifter’s body. According to an interview she held, she never even intended to become a professional powerlifter when she first began working out – she was simply looking for strength and self-confidence. After seeking the help of a powerlifting trainer, she excelled at the sport and is now preparing for her first competition in September. Julia has attracted both admiration and criticism, but this hasn’t fazed her. “There will always be people who respect my choice, or simply adequately explain why they don’t agree with it, but there is nothing to be gained by trying to defame someone who is following their dream,” I, for one, am happy to give her my respect and, should she ever happen to ask me for it, my lunch money. 14. Wow, that’s….um…sweet? There’s been a frightening trend lately: The price of designer handbags and purses skyrocketing and more women wanting them. The victims: The poor men who have to try to satisfy those women. Apparently, some of them have been going to some extremes to make their “other half” happy. According to a recent University of Minnesota study, “The researchers said that some women no longer acquire designer handbags only to improve themselves but to signal to potential women rivals that their partners are devoted to them.” Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that means women want a badge of honor, a tag that reads “Whipped” and “Mine” in the form of a $2,000 Fendi bag. One guy, a 27-year-old man only identified by his last name, Park, had this to add: “Some time ago, I sold one of my kidneys to get money to buy a Hermes Kelly bag as a present for my girlfriend for our first anniversary.” MEN ARE SELLING BODY PARTS NOW, to buy a THING! Park worked multiple jobs over 3 months, became a private tutor, and then settled on a note in a general hospital that read ‘LOOKING FOR HUMAN ORGANS.’ The best part comes when Park adds: “I broke up with her after that, and I regret doing such a thing.” Their love didn’t last, but he will forever NOT have a body part. Korean men are dealing with price increases (designer brands costing millions of won), Korea’s sluggish economy, and now, the looming holiday season. 15. I was quoted $900 just for 4 months extension. I am driving a bread and butter Civic not some WRX or EVO. Yes I had a side swipe incident early this year but the claim amount was 3K, not those heavy repairs or total lost kind. Some of the items was not even repaired because it wasn't due to the incident. Insurance companies are just giving out quotes so they could have double digit growth in profit every year. If the authorities can look into kopitiam trying to profit 10 cent from every cup sold why can't they look into insurance companies or workshop who writes their own pay cheque?
  16. Is this good for body paint or unnecessary? If I remember, it is $300-400+. Coating can last about a year, only wash body with water, but can not wash with soap, may remove the coating. But when wash the windscreen with soap, the soap will drip to the body right? http://www.mercedes-benz.com.sg/content/si...tar_Shield.html
  17. A body was found in a car that caught fire after it rammed into a concrete barrier at a junction along Upper Bukit Timah Road earlier this morning (Jan 20). In response to a query from STOMP, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they found the body in the driver's seat after putting out the fire at the front of the vehicle. A spokesperson for the SCDF said: "The SCDF received a call of a car fire at the junction of Hillview Road and Upper Bukit Timah Road at 5.15am. "One fire engine, one Red Rhino and one ambulance were deployed. "Upon arrival, the SCDF found the fire well-alight at the front of the vehicle, and extinguished it within one minute. "A body was found in the driver's seat. "The cause of the fire is still under investigation. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...ukit_timah.html

  19. Fren just bought a 2006 car, both AA and trusted regular workshop assessed it and said the 45,000km mileage was genuine based on their inspection. The puzzling part is that the paintwork looks really shiit! It looks like someone has used dish washing detergent to bath the car, it looks almost matt! There are hairline scratches, or rather fine cracks here n there. Workshop said need a respray coz no amount or wax + polish can salvage the shine Any advice if there are other methods to restore the shine? Many thanks in advance. The quote fir respray is about 1.5k for the forester. reasonable?
