Me thinking of changing to a CF bonnet for sometime now. Not sure if this is legal or not. Is it true that if the bonnet comes with the 'skeleton' frame then it is ok? And typically, how much would that cost and where is a good place to source?

As of the above picture.. I realise that there is this big dent.. No paint chip.. Any paintshop recommended to mend this? Its quite hard to knock out as the underside is another piece metal 'bone' covering it.. Anybody got any pro people to help out? Haha..

Hi guys, Did some calling up on paint spraying companies. One quoted me with just $120 to respray the whole front bonnet. Claimed they have oven and can collect car in evening if send in in the morning. Do you think this is too good to be true? What usually is the market standards for front bonnect respray?

Hi all bros, i recently knock into someting n as a result, my carbon fiber bonnet had a slight crack at the front. is there any place wich i can patch back my bonnet or r there any bros out there with suggestions....thanks in advance

Hi, my car bonnet was badly scratched. I had sent the bonnet for re-spray. But lately, i noticed that the bonnet paintwork looks wavy. I was wondering if it is still possible for the bonnet to be re-sprayed until it looks perfect again, or is it once it is puttied, it can never look perfect anymore. I am thinking of whether to respray (at $180) or to order a new bonnet and spray (Total $600). Appreciate your advice. Thanks.

hi all, i have an enquiry, hopefully, i can receive some help. I have a bonnet that is stuck with OYAMA sticker (the black sticker that is used to stick the top of the windscreen). the sticker has been on the bonnet for almost 3 years. will there be any discoloration of the paintwork or stains if i were to remove the sticker? thanks in advance for any advices.

Does anyone know how can i remove wax stains on my bonnet (shown in the attached pics) ? The portion is not made of metal, more like the plastic materials used for dashboard. Am Driving a Latio.... Post Edited by Gad, to include attached photo. [inline Image138b.jpg]

Was so happy that they finally made a CF version bonnet for the new imprezas until I called up e shop... Charging @ $1900 (with CF Air Scoop) .... Other models $1.1k - $1.2k Reasons are CF is getting rather rare at the moment and their version is super light 8KG ... Not even sure If can pass LTA inspection. Anyone here done CF bonnets or Spoilers yet, does the car really feel much lighter?

Find my engine note a little too audible, would like to soundproof my bonnet. Any bros here has got your bonnet soundproofed either through i) DIY ii) Done at accessories shop to share the effectiveness and best material to consider? For those who DIY, some pics would go a long way.

Perhaps somebody had asked b4, but pardon me ... i haven't been able to find any details except for DIY stuffs. Me not so skilful at DIYing.. Which shops do Dynamat Xtreme damping with insulation/hoodliner? .. I noe a lot but can name like 3 or any shop u hav dealt with... What price range can I expect? dun want to end up kenna Thank you sooo much... maybe those who wants to SP bonnet wants to go & do it together???

Hi, Some inconsiderate bugger left his cigarette bud on my car bonnet. It left a yellowish stain on my car paint job. Was wondering how can I remove this yellowish stain. Please advice. Cheers Orac

Dear all fellow detailing expert. Need advise on the bonnet panel: 1. I washed and claybared my car in the day at MSCP. 2. Dry the car 3. use AIO on the car 4. Use SG on the car 5. Then use Pink wax to top on it. Visual check on the bonnet panel it looks great with clear reflection of daylight.(not glaring sunlight but the light sky day light from the washing bay of mscp.) However, when i came back home at night in the mscp. Under the flourescent light. I focus through the bonnet panel and i can see: donno scratches or too much of sealant applied. I suspect the scratches could be done by my claybaring? OR applied the SG too thick that i can see some line strain of SG. Anyway that i can improve on my bonnet to get rid of all those without incurring any other more materials? Klasse AIO and SG plus pink wax sufficient? Note; Using hand to do the above no machine used. Those done their detailing, can post some samples pictures taken at night with fluorescent or streetlight? If they are perfect at night.. WHat material/method u use to get rid of all these eye sores.. :) .

Hi guys, I have recently noticed that bonnets of some cars are spayed black, different from the color of their car. My I know why? I'm a little puzzled at this, is it for aesthetic, that means to look nicer or for some improvement to the functionality of the car???

just wondering if there is any shop tat custom made CF bonnets for starlets? refering to the ep82 bonnet wif air scoop in the middle..bet it will make the ultra light ep80 even lighter!
