Hello! My friend wants me to help him to find out more about buying new cars... Right now, he owns a Sonata (3 years old). If he scraps the car, he'll get back just enough to cover the remaining loan. Now looking for a $60,000 car... Is VIOS the recommended choice for this price range? Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

hi i'm planning to get a vios end of this mth(hopefully the price will drop)..anyone have any recommended SE and what are the usual freebies you can squeeze out of em? whats the best colour that best suit the vios? I'm eyeing the White but afraid if not properly maintained will turn yellowish..any white vios owner care to shed some light? thx

HI all, I intend to buy a COE car. And this will be my first time owing a car. I saw in the newspaper that, they are selling '93 Honda ESI at 21.2K. $0 down-payment and monthly of $200++. COE until 07/2011 Is it wise to own one of those. Thanks for any advise.

Hi guys, Is it cheaper to buy motor oils from Msia? Any petrol kiosk near the causeway that opens 24 hours so that I can pop by and grab a bottle of motor oil? What kind do they sell? Do they sell AMSOIL?? Thanks

looking to get a 2-3yr old PARF car. since most cars suffer the highest depreciation in the first 3 yrs. considering a Feb/'01 Subaru Impreza 1.6A (bugeye) for $54k. good buy? but my first choice would be a 2-3 yr old IST or Miata MX-5 if i can find one on the 2nd hand market. not easy though.

1)never RUSH!!! car value drop 95% of the time. only 5% it increase. 2)never let the SE pressure you to buy. never make decision when pressured 3)do ur research 4)try not to buy frm girl especially chiou bu 5)join mass order for discount 6)be thick skin. ask for freebies and discounts. ard 3-5k worth 7)bring frens along (those whu knows how to bargain) = less chance to be "eaten" by SE 8)have a customer is king mentality. you are paying tens of thousand so better get good service. dun beg the SE - like in BM 9)fill in ur views

Test drove a car today. The SE seem very interested in my business. Buy got no intention of buy, feeling a bit guilty now. So trying to see if you people make me feel more guilty or more at peace -

I'm on the verge of taking the last unit of the 1st shipment of the MeganeII 4dr hatchback cos I really like the look and the drive. Am going for the 1.4(M) which is selling at 84777 which is expensive rite? Wonder if its really worth to pay that much for also there are some lacking in equipment like no power window for the rear and manual stalk adjustment for the side mirror thou don't really use them but ain't that std even on the Thailand made Jap model... What is your opinion? If I'm buying it is by the heart cos my brain keeps telling it too X... Hai I'm sick rite?

Dear All, As you know currently Sonata is selling @ $82,888 (2.28% interest rate) with immediate registration so seriously considering buying one soon. Therefore I call up 2 dealers and asked for their quotation and as both of them offered something different, I was rather confused by which dealers I should purchase my car from. Below is some of the information which they have quoted me which include trade-in my due-to-be scrapped car. Would kindly appreciate any feedbacks from all the Bros here.... Dealer 1 (Authorized Dealer) Provided me with 3 options :- Option 1 : Cash Rebate of $788 Option 2 : 15" inches Sport Rims (~$400 ??) + Reverse Sensor (~$200 ??) Option 3 : Leather Seat (need to top-up $750 more ) Scrapping of my car would be free, but I would need to send in my car a few days (4 to 5 days) before. Urrrgh... without car for so many days, plus not sure whether there would be any delays... Dealer 2 (Agent) Well, this guy is cool... no options.. Straight away offer me rebate of $400 to purchase the 15" inches Sport Rims (~$400 ??) or subsidize the Leather Seat (~$1250 ??). But they allow back-to-back for scrapping of my car, which means that drive my old car to collect my new car and then they would scrap the old car... Okay, after these would be my priorities... 1) Leather Seat (Think a luxury car should have original leather seat right ???) 2) Sport Rims (Looks nicer, at least the rim covers would not be stolen ) 3) Reverse Sensor (Could cause a lot of money if reverse into a wall or hidden obstacles, but should be able to install it cheaper outside right?)

People, I just come back from JTA workshop this evening to collect my Key Code, and it is confirm that they will shut down on 31 May 2002. But a few staff will be there till 7 Jun 2002. I didn't manage to talk to Walter as he is on leave, but I have left my number so that he can call me on Friday. Now back to the point - Do you guys want to buy anything from JTA motor? Spare parts and stuff? Got to do it before the banks come in. I have no idea what price is Walter going to give me for the ATF and Coolent which I enquiry. Thus waiting for his call. Anyway, if you guys want to buy anything, I will arrange with Walter so that you guys can get what you want. I know some will say screw them, F*** them and all. But you got to admit that it is the boss who screw up but NOT the staff. Thus if possible, I will buy some stuff from them if it is to help the staff to get paid. * In my own view, if they want to do under table stuff, I am okay with it. cause I understand that they might not even get paid this month. If you want to help just let me know, if you don't want to, then forget it and dun waste my time to read by posting some remarks and not buying.
