  1. Hi Any bro can advise where to get a used jdm Camry headlight at good price?
  2. HI all Can any Toyota Camry JDM owners ACV40 confirm if the location of the oil filter is at the front of the Engine bay as shown in this image below (see attachment). I've seen that in that the US Camry the oil filter is at the bottom. Do you need specialise tools to remove the oil filter?
  3. The Toyota Camry has just been facelifted and Thailand is the first country to receive it. The biggest news for this mid-life update is the debut of the new 2.0-litre VVT-iW & D-4S engine which will be paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Previously, the Camry 2.0 features an ancient four-speed automatic. While not much is known about the six-speed automatic, we do know the new 2.0-litre engine is a pretty advance unit which will be running a high compression ratio of 12.7:1 versus the 9.8:1 of the old. Toyota's latest VVTi-W(Variable Valve Timing-intelligent Wide) technology which is first seen on the Lexus NX200t is present too. Outputting a decent 164bhp and 199Nm, it gains a useful 17bhp over the old engine. With the help of the six-speed automatic, it is claimed to deliver a 13 percent improvement in terms of fuel consumption. The thais will also be getting a good-looking Camry Extremo sports variant which we guess is unlikely to come to our shores. Interesting features that the updated Camry will feature includes full LED headlamps with auto high beam, Qi wireless charger, radar cruise control and lane departure warning.
  4. Both quite similarly priced. JDM slightly higher road tax. Other than AD warranty, but since after 5 years, no more warranty coverage. Which one will you chose? AD http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...558&DL=1008 JDM http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...055&DL=2175
  5. Hi, I just got my driving license last month and would like to purchase a used car for both family purpose and also gain some practical skills. I stay with wife, a one-year old baby and parents. Hence I believe a big car is necessary but not MPV as it is to big for newbie. As the family is big, I think a 2.0L is a must, thus I have shortlisted Kia Magentis, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Cefiro, Mazda 6 and Subaru Legcy. Prefer to buy a car registered in 2016 or 2017 because eventually I may have to buy a MPV when second baby comes. Please share your opinion on these cars: i.e interior space (2 adults and a safety seat in rear row), FC, reliability and cost. Thank You!
  6. Im looking to switch to a bigger car. Almost buy a 07 mazda 6 that i really like ( superb condition ) but was sold just before i could get rid of my car. Realise all the remaining mazda 6 2007 model in the market all shouting 10k+ depri and realise in that case I could go for a 08 1 sua... short listed a few car and both their depri is between 11-12k range. I feel mazda 6 looks more stylish, the interior also alot of gadget like pedal shifter and cruise control etc. Camry i feel space wise is slightly bigger and also toyota quite well known for reliability. Alot of my friend say get the camry if same depri, as higher resale and less problem. FC should be better as well. However feedback is Im too "young" for this kind of car ( late 20s )but for me isnt an issue. I was wondering if anyone face the same dilemma before? Dont tell me to buy legacy or accord, don't really like at all. I realise for 12k+ depri can even get a audi a3 1.8 or 320, but I think continental at this price should prolly mean trouble lol. Thanks guys
  7. hi bro and sis my camry due to tyre changes. first time change, no idea which tyre brand better for camry. can to give some suggestions ? also heard from fren that michelin not bad, dun know true or not haha currently using yokohama 215/60 R16 95H ... great if can recommend good shop to change near west area, and also indicative prices ... thanks
  8. Yes. No, it isn't a refreshed model. The 7th generation American XV50 Camry was dealt with a head-toe mid-term overhaul by Toyota to counter cynics who actually think that the Japanese automaker's mid-size sedan is a dishwasher on four wheels. Debut now at the New York auto show.
  9. Toyota debuted its global market XV-50 Camry at the recent Moscow Motor Show and this might be pretty close to the ASEAN version which we should be receiving in the not-too-distant future. As seen in the photos, the exterior gets a refreshed front end which includes new headlamps that would likely be LED-powered as seen on its younger brother, the Altis. The rear receives a similarly slight amount of restyling, comprising of a new rear bumper and new taillights. The rims are also new. Moving inside, the biggest change would be the new steering wheel design which looks much sportier now. A new instrumental cluster, which now comes with a 4.2-inch colour TFT display and an updated center console consisting of a bigger screen, feature. Mechanically, it seems that Toyota carried its engines and gearboxes from the current car over without much changes.
  10. China verson as: 变速箱 CVT CVT 6AT 轮胎 225/50 R17(米其林) 215/55 R17(米其林) 215/55 R17(邓禄普) Singapore AD import: Accord 2.4L, 175bhp/225Nm, 5 Speed AT Camry 2.5L, 181bhp/231Nm, 6 Speed AT Teana 2.5L, 173bhp/234Nm, X-Tronic CVT Obviously Singapore AD imported low performance cars always, Why?

  14. Hi ppl Any recommendation on workshop to get a replacement for the above? Probably would require a new set, but if there is recommendation on 2nd hand part, if would be good too. TIA
  15. Recently was considering change to a 2nd hand camry, 08 or 09 one....met one guy in ubi carmart he told me actually the depreciation value for 2nd hand camry and conti car like BM not much difference, so ask me to consider a 08 BM520 which is a diff class, he cal to me and showed the difference is about 1 diff, (10k plus for camry and 11k for BM yearly), can it be true? as the new car price for this two car is about 100k difference or this BM is a lemon that they want to clear it quickly at cheap price

  17. hi bros/sis, i need some advice for camry 2.4 suspension problem. about 2 months ago I started to notice a weird sound coming from the back left wheel. when my camry drove pass a hump or uneven road condition, the left back wheel would give out a 'klo-klo' sounds, and it had just got worse these few days. It feel as if the oil tanks gonna drop off! I asked a friends who told me could be suspension problem. Any bros can give some advice ? Can I just drive to toyota and ask them to check ? And if it is suspension problem, how much it cost to replace it ? thanks a lot

  19. Hi all, I have a relative who wants to sell me a 2002 camry. The condition is good as he is the first owner and was told that the model is the best camry. But is it worth to pay 80k to renew the coe? Also, any 02 camry owners here can advice on the car as a whole?

  21. From STOMP: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...to_replace.html Posted on 20 May 2012 Car insurance company quotes me $4,950 -- just to replace Camry's rear bumper STOMPer yoshiki17 received a letter from a car insurance company that stated the replacement of a 2007 Toyota Camry's rear bumper would cost $4,950. The STOMPer had checked with several workshops and was quoted a maximum of $950. Said the STOMPer: "Overcharging for car repair. "I received a letter from a motor insurance company stating that the replacement of a 2007 Toyota Camry's rear bumper would cost SGD$4950. "Had enquired from several workshops and was quoted SGD$750-950 for a new rear bumper including spray painting and installation that would take approximately 3 days. "Factoring in replacement vehicle rental for five days, all in total should only cost SGD$2.5k-3k. "Is this opportunistic behaviour by appointed workshops of insurance companies?" The photo was edited by the STOMPer.

  24. Hi all. Like to hv some views from bro/sis here. Im driving a Mit grandis 2.4A(not sports model) Mar 2005, parf $14.8k. thinking of changing to an old Toyota Camry 2L of the same value. Trying to see if I can reduce ownership cost with lower rd tax and patrol cost. For me the MPV is too large and a sedan will be better. Is the saving really attractive not forgetting the Camry parf is lower? Let say i switch to a Camry 2L June 2005 w/o any costs, at the end of 10 years, do I actually make any gains? Rd tax saving is abt $1.2k for 3yr till coe exp. Not sure how much saving for insurance. My petrol cost abt $500/mth currently, not sure a 2L will save me $100 a month? if so will be $3.6k savings for 3yr. How abt maintenance costs? Currently Mit Grandis main. costs is quite ok and i presume the Camry is the same? How much savings do u think only will this exerciser be worthwhile? 5k? 10k? 15? 20k? Thanks you for ur opinions.
