Hi all I had several bad experiences with this Caltex car wash that is near Nex and serangoon MRT. The price is cheap at $5 per wash and they throw in a bottle of soft drinks but the washing standard is horrendous. I have seen several customers demanding for their car to be re-washed and tonight it was my turn I guess. These guys will spray the washing foam direct onto the car without even bothering to do a quick pre-rinse of the car. That is very bad for the paint job as there are still many dust particles and oils and dirt on the car and you cannot just apply the soap direct onto the car. They also use the same sponge to wipe the wheels and later sponge the car. I was tolerant the 1st few times but after tonight's episode, it will be my last visit there. It is times like this that I am glad I don't own a gorgeous super car or hot ride as there will be a big hole in my heart when I see them commiting such atrocities on a nice ride....so its a good thing I drive a UNKER car now...but I still expect a decent wash and I am prepared to pay for that....a decent (not perfect) wash So to all bros do avoid this car wash.....spraying the washing foam direct onto the car (especially a hot bonnet) is very bad for the paint job....its better not to wash at all...

Guys, my helper has problem washing the roof of my car (Estima) as she cannot reach it. I bought the anti-slip stool from IKEA (Those higher ones) but she wanted something higher. Anyone has recommendations? It has to be anti-slip as I also do not want her to slip. Thks.

Went for a car wash this afternoon at about 3.30 pm at Macpherson Esso. I noted that the dude shampooing my car had a litted fag in his mouth and he was rubba-ing my car nonchalantly. I almost wanted to come out and fark him as his ciggy ashes are falling on my car as he sponged my panels. They were spraying soap and water so I cant come out and LLST. Secondly, WTF was he thinking!! Its a damn petrol kiosk leh! Who can I report this too? Will try to extract the video from my car cam tomorrow.

Does anybody have experience with grooming with Cars International? They have numerous outlets in many carparks. I enquired about the package and the following was quoted. $688 for 3 years, includes 1 VIP treatment and 1 free transfer (from one car number plate to another). With this package one can wash and vacuum for $13 each time for unlimited number of times and also do grroming for $488 each time for unlimited number of times. Is this a standard price? Im new to grooming and feel like this is very expensive. Can any current or past user comment? Thank you.

It looks like the wet weather is here again. Usually, at the time of writing this blog, I would be running at East Coast Park but my plan has to be shelved due to the light drizzle. Coming back to the topic of automobile, it is frustrating to be caught in the rain while driving, especially after a thorough car wash. Personally, I prefer to be caught in a heavy downpour rather than a light drizzle, provided that I am not caught in a flood. Below is the reason why. The rain water itself will not make the car very dirty. The splashes from the road are the main culprit. This is the reason why the upper part of the body panels are cleaner than the lower portion after the car is caught in the rain. In a light drizzle, the road grimes do not get washed away, unlike a heavy downpour. Hence, the splashes from the road contain relatively more dirt and debris. Firstly, I want to clarify that I am not here to endorse any car wash products, but just want to share with readers an efficient and environmentally friendly way of washing your beloved ride. I do my car wash once a week, on a weekend morning. As a not-so-hardworking car owner, the process of rinsing the car, soaping the car, rinsing off the soap solution plus drying really puts me off. However, if I were to use purely water, the road grime may not be removed effectively. Therefore, I decided to try a compromised method by halving the recommended car wash dosage.
