  1. While Singaporeans were celebrating Halloween with cute costumes and fancy decorations on the 31st, one man suffered a painful consequence when he decided to cross under the arm of an automated carpark gantry. In this short video, a cam car exits an open-air carpark when he stops to let a pedestrian cross the road. Thinking he could make it, the man hurriedly jogs across and attempts to leave the carpark by going under the automated arm of the carpark gantry. To his dismay, the arm quickly swings down and hits him squarely on the head. Upon witnessing this incident, the cam car driver lets out a loud cackle as he moves forward to exit. The poor pedestrian could be seen rubbing the top of his head as he runs off in embarrassment. Don't try this if you're not Usain Bolt, the fastest man on Earth. Netizens’ reactions While most netizens found the incident rather funny, some found the cam car driver's reaction to being a little too insensitive. It's always sad to lose a couple of braincells, but at least it's nothing serious. -------------------- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 2. A truck driver was spotted forcing open the carpark gantry arm for a Malaysian-registered Lexus in an open-air carpark along Hougang St 61 on 1st June, at around 11:26 p.m. The video also showed screenshots of the truck driver having outstanding fines while the Lexus driver did not seem to have a valid Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) or any outstanding VEP fines. Netizens' reactions Several netizens quickly commented on the possibility of the Lexus driver having to push the arm due to the fact that it might not have an in-vehicle unit (IU) as it was a Malaysian vehicle. While the intentions behind forcing the gantry arm open were unclear, it is absolutely dangerous to do so without instruction from the appropriate authorities. Nevertheless, it isn't right to damage public property for the sake of skimping on a few dollars for parking!
  3. Watch this video posted by Singapore incidents, and you find this Skoda Kodiaq who is ferrying his prized offroad bicycle on top of his roof rack got stuck in the carpark gantry in Midview City at Sin Ming. So here's my suggestion for the forgetful driver. 1) Use a rear bicycle mount. Just remember to go to your nearest accessories shop to get an extra car plate to hang after you mount your bicycle. 2) Get air suspension for your ride MCFers remember your car surrounding when you are driving to avoid an awkward situation like this!
