Just went to get some stuff over there just now and yes NPNT but me and friend counted 8 carpark attendents over there parking their bikes near staircase doors and walking around desperate for any coupons ... is this happening alot at other mscp around?
  2. I heard of cases where the car infront roll back abit on a slippery carpark slope then hit the car behind. Any tips on not to rollback? Manual car that is.. My friend told me, he was quite stressed driving up then stop because the carpark was pretty crowded... And anytime the car can just rollback and hit the car behind.. Die die must use the handbrake method to move off? I always use the footbrake and half clutch method..
  3. STOMPer tiaotiaohu happened to spot two cars with identical stickers and decor when she looked out of her window this afternooon. Curious about their origins, she took a photo of the unusual sight and sent it to us. She said: "I noticed one of the cars have been parking at the HDB carpark in Jurong West for the past few months but recently, another identical looking one started parking beside it." ROUTE 66 Belongs to Same person ?
  4. just being curious, if your company require you to drive, how much are they paying per kilometer? For those who claim a fixed monthly allowance, can divide by your monthly official trip by total allowance/ momth. Please take note that the vote above is inclusive of ERP, carpark & other misc cost involved.
  5. Imagine heading to work in the morning, thinking it was any other regular day. You arrive at your car and see it smashed. To add salt to the wound, the culprit has fled. This happened in STOMPer Eugene's neighbourhood. He was passing by this carpark at Block 49 Dorset Road yesterday morning (May 27) when he saw two cars smashed. "I heard that it happened in the middle of the night. The car smashed into the blue car, and the impact was so great that the blue car hit the white one too," he said.
  6. Does anybody know that car park fee also need to charge GST?can u believe that motorbike charge $1.50 per entry, but when we drive out from the car park.they deduct $1.61....Why? we only park for half an hour .

  8. I was at the Ten Mile Junction (shopping Center) this morning, hoping to get some cheap groceries from Sheng Siong as per usual. The carpark was rather empty early in the morning and I could easily slot into a parallel parking lot (on the second level) without much effort. Nothing was really amissed. After shopping and returning to the car, I discovered that there were 2 piles of shi.t (one in the lot behind and another in the lot in front). I was lucky that my car 4 tyres were away from the 2 deadly piles and there were none in the area near my car door. Don't take MSCP car-park for granted, not all are clean. And I wonder who actually poo-ed there.
  9. Dear all, Found my car front portion badly damaged this morning, apparently hit by a blue lorry - from the blue paint left behind and account of an eyewitness seeing a blue lorry (number known) parked beside my car before it got hit. Police officers who came to check classify it as hit and run case. Gave me a report number and asked me to lodge a report. Now, how do I proceed from here? Contact AIG and get the car towed to agent on Monday? Hire a lawyer? I intend to put little strips of paper on the windscreen of cars parked around there to appeal for a witness. Some aunties whom I spoke to claim that there were people washing their cars nearby and saw the whole thing. My car was parked beside a tree, very near to the curb to give more space to the car beside me. Still kanna hit.
  10. Just came back from there. I think half the carpark in the marina square has been reserved or taken up by the few hundreds deligates' BMWs there. All sparkling new siah! And it's a b|tch to find parking there so AVOID!!!!

  13. A CARPARK operator which at first won $3,000 from a motorist who drove off with one of its wheel clamps is now a lot poorer for having pushed its case through the courts. Blenwel Agencies now has to pay up 12 times the sum in legal costs - including $5,000 in costs - for bringing its case right up to the Court of Appeal. The Appeals Court, explaining its reasons in a judgement released last week, reminded lawyers against bringing up such 'hopeless applications' in future. Justifying the $5,000 in costs it put on Blenwel's tab, the court noted that the carpark operator had sought leave to appeal after its application for such leave had already been rejected by a district court and the High Court, and that the tab covered the work done by the motorist's lawyers in preparing for the appeal. Judge of Appeal Andrew Phang, writing on the court's behalf, said Blenwel had already used up - unsuccessfully - two chances to apply for leave to appeal under the law, so lawyers needed to think seriously about 'adverse consequences' before advising their clients to take the route to the Appeals Court. Blenwel's failure in the two lower courts set it back by $1,600 in costs, in addition to some $30,000 in legal fees for court hearings spanning three years. What a Joke !!

  18. Security guards claim cameras in Great World City carpark are dummies LAST week, my husband went to Great World City for dinner. Being a careful person, he deliberately chose a parking lot near a security camera. When he went to fetch his car after dinner, he found that someone had knocked his car and that the culprit had already driven off. My husband immediately headed to the guard room, hoping to trace the culprit from the security camera. To his surprise, the guard said that all the security cameras in the carpark are dummies. Only the camera at the exit/entrance is real. And it is the same for the cameras in the shopping mall too. The guard also told him that this issue had been brought up to management a long time ago but that nothing had been done. 19. Today is 1st October...saw no less then 3 carpark attendence at HDB open carpark as early as 5.30 am!! They go around checking the season parking decal. I pity those who forgot to switch to the Oct. one last nite. Do they give chance for this kind of cases? I mean, it is unlikely that someone who purchased the Sept one stop the season parking abruptly rite
  20. Hi guys.... i am going for a bbq at east coast park tomorrow near car park B. But heard that the carpark is recently under renovations but cannot confirm if this is really true... Can someone update me on this? Thanks.
  21. Hi, I noticed that my multi storey carpark at Buangkok Crescent have camera installed at first(entrance) and second(just above slope)storey. Those black coloured round type. Any idea what is it for? I dont think its for vadalism since its installed at the entrance. More likely for tracing of vehicle entering the carpark.
  22. This Sunday, I was entering the basement carpark at White Sands when I realised that $2 was deducted from my cashcard at the gantry. Thinking that the system was programmed to deduct $2 upon entry, I proceeded to park the car. I got a surprise when I exited from the carpark after an hour later. The system deducted another $2 from my cashcard. I left the carpark, parked somewhere nearby and went back to the control room. The security guard insisted that it was not possible for the system to deduct money from my cashcard. He told me to lodge my complaint with customer service. To substantiate my claim, I printed my cashcard's recent transactions using the top-up terminal. True enough, the slip showed that carpark 97 (I believe this is the ID of White Sands carpark) deducted $2 twice. I have already lodged my complaint and am waiting for a refund. A word of advice to all bros. Check your cashcard value before entering the carpark.
  23. Haven't been there for a long time liao...I remember this carpark was used extensively for students learning to park. So I am wondering if this carpark can be used by the public for normal parking? Can someone enlighten me? Don't want to kena summon for nothing
  24. Some psychos are setting fires at our carparks. Beware.. ================================================= "Three multi-storey carparks in Woodlands Avenue 9 were up in flames early on Sunday morning (26 August)," STOMPer Khoo said of the fires which damaged 24 motorcycles and a car and woke up the neighbourhood. In an email to STOMP today, Khoo said: "The multi-explosions woke up the sleeping estate at 4am to 5am. "A large anxious crowd was kept at bay by the Police while the firefighters rushed to put out the fires in three different spots within the carpark of Blk 749A. "The aftermath has an estimated count of 14 motorbikes burnt beyond recognition at the carpark Blk 749A and another burnt bike at the garden across a walkway. "A 5-minute walk to carpark Blk 766A showed another 3 bikes and a car damaged by the flames. "Not too sure about the damages of the 3rd carpark, which is also within walking distance." STOMP contacted the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) which said it received a call about the fires at 4.22am. It said a total of 25 vehicles were damaged - 24 were motorcycles and one was a car. At Block 748A, 17 motorcycles parked at different decks were burnt. At Block 768, three motorcycles were damaged, of which two were reduced to a shell. And at the multi-storey carpark of Block 766A, four motorcycles and a car were damaged. No one was injured. SCDF said the cause of the fires is still being investigated.
  25. I am currently doing an audit of carparking in my company's carpark. The system currently uses the IU 2 detect and pay via cash card in IU on exit. Noted that there are alot of cars(number plates) coming into the carpark but there were no exit from them.. An example... SFX XXXXP -can enter carpark 4 days but there is no exit entry. Wen we query them..they juz pay up..no questions asked.. I dun tink is by tailgating an exiting car coz there is 2 road humps at entry and exit points.. I tink they might have did sometin 2 their IU...wat u guys tink...
