Extensive police resources have been deployed to track him down,' said the ministry statement. The public is asked to contact the police at 999 if they know of his whereabouts.

  8. My God!! My Laptop was sent in for service since May during my break from school. (Note: Laptop was brought in March. Fault came along in April sent in after my exams). But my brother called up the service centre, they give various reasons since last month like replacement parts are not here yet. Never mind, this week I call they say the same. Then my brother got his friend working there to check for me. NB!!They did not even started to repair. My laptop was having sound card problems, and the replacement part that they inform me was the main board. What sia!!I only need my sound board to be fix and yet they can take 2 months to get it done.. What kinda of service is this! This weekend I will go and make a fuss there to get back my laptop in working condition or else get them to replace a new laptop for me....

  24. I wrote an email to complain abt them. I was too fustrated there!!! Below is an extract from the email. Dear Sir/Mdm, It is to my dismay to write this email to your attention as I had encountered poor service from your Toa Payoh service centre. On 06/10/05, I turned up at 5.50pm for my 20,000km servicing at Toa Payoh Service Centre which I had made a phone booking the previous day for an appointment for 6pm to 6.30pm. After getting a queue number from the security guard, I proceeded into the service centre. As there are other vehicles at the side of the office, I stopped my car at the entrance of the service centre. I proceeded into the office to inform yuor receptionist that I am present for my servicing and was referred to Mr Laurence Ong, a Service Executive. I told him I'm here for my servicing and pointed out to him that my car is park at the entrance. He instructed me to take a seat. As I was waiting, about 10mins later, an indian worker came into the office and asked for the owner of the car that was at the entrance. Mr Laurence Ong directed him to me. I was informed to move my car to the now empty lots near the office. I did as told and returned to the office and still waiting to be attended. Later on, two other vehicles and their owners pull into the workshop and I saw Mr Laurence Ong attended to them. As time passes, I could see Mr Laurence Ong busy attending to the two owners and did not attend to me at all. It was about 6.30pm that I saw that he finish with the two other owners and escoted them to the reception for payment. Then he proceeded out of the office ignoring me. After waiting for a good 40mins without anybody attending to me, I activated my car alarm to arouse attention. After about 5mins when the sound was too irritating then a technician came into the office to look for my car keys to deactivate the car alarm. I showed the technician that it was my car and no one had attended to me. Then he began to look for a service executive and Mr Steven Chiu swiftly attended to me and printed a job card for my car. Why does it take 40mins of waiting and my intervention before I was attended to? I have a physique of 1.9m and I don't see how Mr Laurence Ong can miss me in the office. None of your service staff apologise to me or explain to me the delay. None of the service staff attended to me to explain what they had done to my car after servicing. My car number was called and I collected my car keys from the receptionist. There were only 3 other car owners around only and the workshop was not busy at all. I find that the attitude of your service staff is below par and do not have the customer in mind. I hope this type of attitude shown by your service staff can be greatly improved. I am truely disappointed with the service provided from such a reputable company like yours. Thank you for reading my email. I expect an explaination from you or your staff in a week time.
  25. My 30k is due, and GM has advertised some new services centres, namely in Bukit Timah, Bukit Batok and Sin Ming. Sin Ming sevice centre is next to where I live and I am thinking of sending my Aveo there. This service centre is not operated by Starsauto but by a new player. Will my service at this new centre be accepted for warranty issues? I hope servicing won't take a whole day like what I experienced with SA and maybe cheaper than SA.
