  1. Anyone listens to 93.3FM? Heard the latest Volkswagen advertisement, and it lists one of their model as the Cerato. Did my hearing fail me, or is it a mistake by the Radio station? :D
  2. Hi all, My friend jus got a 2nd hand cerato 06 model. The car doesn't come with user manual. Anyone can advise the capacity of the fuel tank? Also, my friend just came back from JB and pumped full by the attendant. Having travelled 140+km but the needle hasnt moved a wee bit. Is it nomral. Need gd advise from gurus here.
  3. The Forte hatchback joins the Cerato Forte sedan and Forte Koup coupe in Kia's local line-up, and strengthens Kia's presence in Singapore's vital family car segment. "The latest Forte is designed to appeal especially to those consumers with young families who prefer a hatchback for its style and enhanced practicality," said Chin Kee Min, Senior Manager for KIA Operations, Cycle & Carriage KIA Pte Ltd. Mr Chin added. "The availability of this third body-style for our mid-size car segment will enable Kia to meet the needs of a broader range of customers. This derivative will boost total Forte sales to an even higher level by capturing a larger market share." The Forte hatchback retains the same width, height and wheelbase as the Cerato Forte sedan, with only the rear overhang reduced by 190mm, making it 4340mm long. Despite the shorter length, the Forte hatchback still has a reasonable cargo capacity of 385 litres. The new Forte hatchback also comes with the improvements that were recently introduced on the rest of the Forte range, like the new six-speed automatic gearbox that comes with steering-mounted paddle shifters. Other new features on the Forte hatchback include the LED indicators on the door mirrors, and integrated Bluetooth system for the built-in head unit. Quote from Sgcarmart.com It looks better than the sedan....what do you all think..bro out there, I think hyundai might bring in the I40 to go head to head with this car
  4. Hi all, Anyone know where I can get aftermarket body kits for Kia Cerato Forte?

  7. I rented a 2005 cerato hatchback auto and immediately went to pump up all the 4 tyres to 255KPA hoping for reasonable FC but it returned only 10km/litre. me and wifey not very heavy footed. sometimes i off aircon too. quite alot of highway travel too. Hope my coming forte has MUCH better FC!
  8. Hi there.... I would like to change my cerato v1 06 suspension to coilover.... any coilover that can fit to this ride? if possible can give a range?
  9. Guys as above. Please state why as well. Disclaimer:I'm not buying either. Just wondering which most people would chose.
  10. But C&C missed out this one: KIA Cee'd How come? I don't mind to be a kiasi lang leh. [:p]
  11. WoooHooo Had a dillemma of either fixing my own steering pump or buying new pump or looking for recon pump. It was leaking oil. C&C which is a lousy AD had no parts available nor the exploded drawings of the pump internals. So much hype being a useless AD. They told me to buy a whole set instead. Recon pumps were difficult to source. And scrapyard $$ aren't cheap either. So I had no other choice but to DIY. Managed to get parts from local suppliers, no thanks to AD of course. So guys with leaking pumps can PM me if you need help.
  12. there are easily 10-15 Cerato Forte on sale in SGcarmart.... prices are going at $65k +/- mostly were only 6 mths old....SJS 74XX..... and definitely selling at a profit.... but will many bite?
  13. Also making its world premiere at New York Auto Show today is a hatchback variant of Kia's hugely popular Cerato Forte. The five door model joins the current four-door saloon and two-door (Koup) coupe versions of the Forte. Stylistically, the hatchback conversion of the Forte is far less adventurous than you would expect from a company that has churned out some interesting designs lately including the Optima and Sportage. There are no photos of the interior yet, but Kia's release makes word of a revised center console, new paddle shifters for the automatic transmission and the addition of a push-button start. North American consumers will have a choice of the 2.0 and 2.4-liter engines while customers in other markets will be able to choose from the 1.6 and 2.0-liter powerplants. More interestingly, the Forte 5-door has been fitted with Hyundai Group's latest six speed automatic transmission. This means that we can expect to see the sedan version be fitted with the 6 speeder quite soon. If the Forte comes fitted with a new 1.6L Turbo powerplant in the future, the Japanese are in deep s--t! In Singapore, the Forte 5-door would make a good alternative to the Hyundai I30. For those who are upset that the Kia Ceed is not available locally, they can take heart that the 5-door Forte could make a local debut. Folks at Cycle & Carriage, please make it happen!
  14. My 04 manual cerato gives me a FC of 13km/l for the last tankful. Usually it is around 12-12.5km/l Travelling pattern mostly away from expressways, taking those stop start route to get around ERP in the mornings and evenings. I guess the school holidays elleviate the traffic condition by a little bit and thus smoother traffic equates to better FC figures. How's your cerato?
  15. Hi all Any ideas on the subject header? Built by Korean themselves or they bought the engine from others?
  16. finally! my 5th tank of SPC92 returned 12.88km/L...but i did try my best to let the car roll (neutral gear) down slopes whenever possible...I drive 70% of the time, wife 30%. She dun care abt FC and rams engine to 3.5k-4k RPM change gear...
  17. Considering the 2L Forte. May be going for a test drive this weekend. Any 2.0SX owners here to share their views. What's the main difference from the 1.6 apart from larger displacement, cruise control and sunroof? Bodykits?
  18. Bros, how do u guys view dis 2 models? r they worth buying and how's their fc?? thanks bros for ur feedback
  19. To the almost blind uncle who's driving a silver cerato along Bedok North Ave 3 (at the junction of the new PIE entrance) at approximately 2330H... You either need to get your vehicle's steering aligned or you should not drive at all... I'm the blue Honda Fit you nearly side swiped and I believed you heard me test my new horn... You seem to be not able to keep to your lane? I noticed that you are either driving in the middle of 2 lanes or just changing lanes here and there... If you haven't noticed that our gahmen has added an extra lane to the road and there's not merging lanes after the traffic junction... You still had the bloody cheek to stare at me at the Bedok Reservoir junction... Just ranting... No replies needed...
  20. Read in today's ad in the papers that the Cerato has came up with Variant R.... 1.6L with a whopping 150bhp.... Could it be TC-ed...?? If it is,entry level family sedans have come a long way man...

  22. The government announced that we can recover our COE and PARF rebate in cash from september 2008. How much can I expect to receive if I were to sell the car body to an exporter with the option to recover the COE and PARF value direct from the government and get only the body value from the exporter. Hope fellow cerato owners with experience can provide some information. Mine's an Dec04 manual Hatchback Cerato. Thanks all for the information.

  25. Wanna Say Hallo to the "Wicked" looking Black Cerato this morning. You exited together ith me from PIE to Kallang. I wanna say, your engine sounds like an 3litre V8 engine. If you are here, care to share what have you done to acheive that effect? I wanna do the same too. Hope to get a reply. http://kcarclubsg1975.spaces.live.com/
