  1. Was the first few car to be at the scene where a red car went under a trailer. Stucked there for 30mins. Plse avoid. No peekture as I was driving. Involved a young fella, strong pride, trailer n merging lane.
  2. Finally they announced the winning bidder for the upcoming Changi Motorsports Hub. S$330 million investment!? Purely privately-funded, fwah that's a LOT of money man. How quickly can they make it profitable? The permanent race track will be able to host any race except F1 - so F1 will remain on our street circuit? Anyway, it's said to be ready by end next year - for 41-ha, possible? Anyone here excited about this? You think this will help our local motorsports scene improve more? PRESS RELEASE SG Changi wins bid for Changi Motorsports Hub Singapore, Friday, March 26, 2010
  3. http://www.todayonline.com/Sports/EDC11052...ke-Hub-deadline 04:47 AM May 28, 2011 SINGAPORE - The country's first permanent motor racing track could be heading for an unnatural death after its embattled developers admitted yesterday they would not be able to get the facility operational by the end of the year. SG Changi are also likely to default on another major milestone: To complete a 2,000-lot car park before the start of the Singapore Airshow 2012, scheduled from Feb 14 to 19, which will be held next to the facility. With prospects bleak for the consortium, some in the motor-racing industry feel even a re-tender is now possible, to ensure the Changi Motor Sports Hub project is fulfilled. Work at the 41-hectare site on the eastern tip of Singapore ground to a halt in January after SG Changi - they pipped two other challengers to win the bid to build and operate the S$380 million project in 2009 - could only pay S$6 million of an agreed advance payment to piling contractors CSC Holdings. They owe CSC Holdings S$8 million, which includes progressive claims for piling work on 1,000 of 6,000 points at the site. SG Changi can try to fulfil their contractual obligations but would require millions more pumped into the project. However, raising funds has been the problem for the consortium. Andrew Ujiie, the company's head of people innovations, admitted that after a four-month delay, the cost to get the 4km FIM Grade 1 and FIA Grade 2-certified track ready by December would be extremely high. Speaking to MediaCorp from the United States, where he is on a business trip, Ujiie said: "I think that is the reality. Although nothing is impossible, to get the track ready by the end of the year is now going to cost us a lot more." CSC, who were contracted to do piling work for a total of S$50 million, are hoping that if the Government in the end calls for a re-tender, they will be given "preferential consideration" if a new consortium takes over. "We are weighing our options," said CSC president and group CEO See Yen Tarn. "Pulling out is one of them, but we are holding out for a better outcome. If a new consortium comes into the picture, we hope they will consider resuming work with us. "Even with a new design, what has been piled into the land need not be yanked out and we will be able help them work things around." In March, MediaCorp reported that a group of interested parties had met SG Changi directors Fuminori Murahashi and Moto Sakuma, with a view to taking a share in the company. After submitting plans to considerably reduce the cost of building the Hub and hoping that the deadline for the project would be extended, the potential investors are moving cautiously. "With the Sports Hub (at Kallang) allowed a delay, they were banking on the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) indicating they were open to extending the deadline for the permanent track as well," said a source close to the negotiations. "Their plan hinges on this because at this stage, it is clear to everyone that the costs are going to be extremely high to meet the Motor Sports Hub objectives if the SSC stick to their guns."
  4. Due to the overspending on YOG and financial difficulties faced by the Changi motorsports hub, they have decided, in true spirit to promoting motorsports in Singapore, to go ahead and build it; albeit smaller in scale and with the mission of nurturing our young Catch the action LIVE! at changi village!! Next to the hawker centre
  5. Anyone notice that the speed camera along ECP towards Changi Airport (after Benjamin Shears Bridge) is no longer there? It's a 70 km/h stretch. Anyone can further confirm?
  6. My family have been invited for a stayover at Changi Chalet on the eve of New Year's eve, and the highlight will be the BBQ. Just wondering, can you can uncooked BBQ food from the shops around Changi Village? And if so, what do they offer, and any particular shops to recommend?
  7. http://www.todayonline.com/Singapore...an-attacks-cop SINGAPORE - Angry that his flight had been delayed, a China national created a ruckus at Changi Airport and then attacked a police officer at Changi General Hospital (CGH) after being sent there for treatment. On July 5, student Fang Xiang, 28, was at Changi Airport Terminal 1 waiting to catch a flight at about 9.40am. He had flown to Singapore from Shanghai and was waiting to catch a connecting flight to Zurich, where he lives. Certis Cisco aviation security officer Lai Wei Chuen, 45, heard Fang shouting in the departure transit area. The officer approached him and Fang demanded to know why the gate was closed when he wanted to leave Singapore. The officer checked his boarding pass and told Fang he was supposed to be at Terminal 3, not Terminal 1. Fang walked away, still shouting. At about 10.25am, Fang dashed into a gate hold room and the airport police were called in. Fang was taken to CGH for a medical examination and put in a wheelchair. While an Airport Police Division officer, Sergeant Ryan Yam, was adjusting Fang's legs, Fang lashed out and kicked Sgt Yam in the chest. On Nov 18, Fang pleaded guilty to two charges of voluntarily causing hurt to a public servant and disorderly behaviour. He was convicted, jailed four months and fined $1,000. In mitigation, his lawyer, Ms Gloria James, said Fang's flight to Singapore had been delayed and so was his flight to Zurich. He lost sleep, which led to the incident. Four other charges of criminal trespass, using criminal force, voluntarily causing hurt and using criminal force on a public servant were taken into consideration.

Maybe you can share with me your views on the nasi lemak stall???? I have tried other stall's and no only thnere is no queue, the quality is roughly the same and cheaper too. 10. I was that silver Civic driving on the overtaking lane stuck behind a column of slow cars because of a road hogging taxi in front. I saw you driving slowly up on the left in the 2nd lane. Could have easily filtered left in front of you with plenty of time and space. But I patiently waited for you to go pass before filtering out behind you. 1. why did you tap your brakes when the closest car in front of you is at least 50m away? Did you want me to bang your backside? After seeing you drive at 80km/h for a while I decided to ovetake you from the left(cos the overtaking lane is still being road hogged). When I went in front of you and started to filter back into 2nd lane I saw in my rear mirror that you have accelerated up with me. 2. why would you stop me from overtaking you when you have been driving slowly and again the closest car in front was way ahead of you? 3. when i accelerated and filtered back into 2nd lane about 30-40m in front of you why would you high beamed me? I am completely lost as to why you would be so upset? Did you miss your medication this morning? Were you quarreling with your wife sitting beside you? I'm sorry I did not let you overtake me after that. I know how hard you tried but i thought it would be dangerous if you were driving in front of me. Anyway you drive a nice new Civic and I drive a old beat up Civic. I'll see you around the road ok?

Turn my head around and saw a female cyclist being knocked down by a white merc cab. Minutes later, more cyclists gather and ambulance arrived. Hope the female cyclist is alright.

  19. Dear Bro and Sis Am appealing for witness who saw the accident stated below: 11/06/08 08:10 at X-Junction of Changi South Ave 3 and Xilin Ave. On the a/m date and time,I was making a right turn from Xilin Ave into Changi South ave 3. Suddenly a taxi traveling in the opposite direction collided headon onto my left side of the bike.I was flung off on impact. I was conveyed to the hospital due to injuries sustained. As I have to picked myself up, there were no cars or anyone to help me or stop to assist me. The taxi had a passenger inside.
