  1. One of my rims was badly scratched in a minor accident - all 10 spokes were badly scratched with some were deeply gorged and shaved with peelings running off. It appears too badly damaged to be repaired. I'm wondering if it's possible to replace just that one rim, or shops here only selling the full set?
  2. Anyone bro or sis here regretted changing their stock exhaust? Remus and Sebring are the only 2 LTA approved exos for my ride. Would like to heard valuable feedbacks before getting one. I know the low end wll suffer but the mid and high end will improve together with the sound. The effects on the low, mid and high are neligible or quite obvious?
  3. As above - any one of you guys can recommend me a good shop? My tieyar is near to wear bars.
  4. Hi all, I'm planning to change my Mit Colt to another car. FC seems to have dropped. Any suggestions on similar type/price of car? Thank you in advance
  5. Anyone knows the labour charges of swoping tyres plus rims with another car in tyre shops? Thanks.
  6. Hi all, I did like to know for those who have changed their injector to bigger one, to give me some advice. Let say if i am not going to do anything to my exhaust, downpipe, but intending to change injector, will my fuel comsumption increase if i maintain the same driving style? Also can i know are there side effects to do the injectors.

  9. Went to down to Serangoon Garden, car aircondition shop. Uncle told me no longer have the "old" type, have to mod compressor to use "new" type costing about $100++. Saber told me the same, have to change in JB. Does anyone know if I can find in Singapore the "old" type? I am not familiar with JB and its abit of hassle. Thanks. Ray
  10. My Kah Motor Stream doesn't comes with an Aircon filter. So have to DIY fix one. Here's the steps. The aircon filter is located behind the Glove compartment. Same steps to remove or change it 1. Clear your Glove compartment. If cannot locate Glove Compartment, PRTFM 2. Push the 2 upper joint towards the middle to dislocate the glove compartment from its joint [inline RN6-ACF1.jpg] 3. You should have the Glove cover fall downwards to something like this below. There's no need to dismantle it anymore. The working space created is enough to Change/Install your Aircon Filter. (The black cable is the Head Unit iPod Connector if anyone is curious) [inline RN6-ACF1a.jpg] 4. So far so good? Here comes the slightly tricky part. Here's how the internal compartment looks like. The Aircon filter box is the one labeled. Now we have to remove that to install/change the filter. [inline RN6-ACF1b.jpg] 5. ready? This part you have to be gentle. As gentle as you are with a v1rg1n. You do not want to use brute force and break the cover catch. The Stream aircon box is one of the easiest i have done. So remember use skill not force. See the 2 catch as circled? and the small arrow sign beside it. You have to slowly push them in the direction of the arrow. i.e. push them together towards the middle of the box and at the same time gently pull it out. Remember gentle you do not want to break the catch and can't lock back the box and have a loose one that may not properly seal the a/c filter in place. [inline RN6-ACF2.jpg] More after the break
  11. sorry if this is a silly question. I drive a stock latio with toyo tires. have clocked about 50k in roughly 2.5 years. lately, my tires often look flat and i have to pump quite regularly. my fc seem to fluctuate wildly too, sometimes getting only about 380km per tank. beggining to think its the tires fault. do tires have a lifespan?
  12. hi.. juz got my first car.. a '98 pajero mini XRii manual.. popped open the bonnet and saw this thing which i perceived to be an airfilter from MUGEN. or so that's wat stated on the thing.. does anyone know if i can change it to a K&N one or should i stick wif this? if wanna change, where do i go to and how much will it cost? will the workshop/mech install it for me cos i know nuts.. thanks, james
  13. My friend has just change his 4 yr old Mazda 323 to 1.5L Shlphy. Accordingly to him, the actual new car price is $74k. Discount till $64k with throw in full body kit and built-in GPS systems (not to mention 2 Japan trip free air-ticket). Not only that, his trade in his 4 years old car and fetch back extra 3k in cash. So in actual fact, he got his car at $61k. He used to pay >$700+ per month, now this car cost him $660 for monthly installment. Do take note that his old car has been refinance before and the previous car cost him 70k. Anyone has managed to enjoy such good term in changing new car before?

  16. My toyota hiace van is nearing 100K and I am going to change the timing belt. Do I need to change my other belts together? Where can I buy original toyota timing belt?
  17. I intend to change my ride next year, but don't think my stock tyres (15 inch) can last that long..... Is there a good and reliable tyre shop that you know of in the CCK area? Any suggestions for tyre brands/models with the approximate price will also be helpful. Many thanks to all!
  18. 1. I read that : " DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid absorbs water and can absorb water from the air, which is why we should avoid opening the car's brake fluid reservoir. For the same reason, we should always keep containers of brake fluid tightly sealed. DOT5 fluid does not absorb water. This means the boiling point will remain relatively stable, but it also means that any water that does get into the brake system will tend to form pure water pockets, which could cause brake corrosion. Two other important things about brake fluid: DOT3 and DOT4 eat paint, so don't spill it on your car. Also, none of the different types of brake fluid should be mixed. They can react badly with each other and corrode our brake system." 2. Hence to use DOT 5, my current DOT 4 Brake fluid should be completely flush out and replace with DOT 5. Any Bros have done it before? any comments and advice? Is the process reversible? i.e. change back from DOT5 to DOT4? Please advise us. Thank you very much. Regards,
  19. Hi experts, 1. Wanted to know whether there are many plus points to change the rear drum brake to disc brake? Magazines also advertise steel brake hose, is this good from safety aspect? 23. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I understand that a bored throttle body will improve low-end torque (and therefore increase FC) whilst changing your final drive ratio will improve your high-end torque (and therefore decrease FC). If I were to do these two mods together, what's the final effect? Will I have both improved low- and high-end torque? Or will these be cancelled out? Also, what will happen to my FC? An overall increase, decrease or no change? Thanks!
  24. Guys. Need your advice as I'm not much into ICE. Well, I have some problems with my car on electrical leakage and TCM has confirmed that its my stock Clarion HU that is leaking electrical current. My ICE system is all STOCK. Clarion HU and some speakers which I'm not entirely sure of.. Question is, are all HU compatible with my current system or it must be paired up properly? Like this HU for this speakers or whatsoever? I only wan my HU to be changed as I dun really listen to radio when I drive.. Only blast them while stationary.. Lastly, any recommendations of workshops or HU models? How much around?
