  1. Had seen quite a number of posters of her in horny post. Is she trying to get attention or cheap publication ? Should has joint the MOCCA.Com ad. Got this one from today New Paper............
  2. Thinking of buying a OPC as family 3rd vehicle. The 2nd hand model I am looking at is, mostly year 2006: 1) Kia Picato 1.1A 2) Kia Rio 1.4A (4 door) 3) Hyundai Verna 1.4A 4) Hyundai Verna 1.6A CVVT 5) Hyundai Getz 1.4A 6) Hyundai Getz 1.6A (5 door) The Kia Rio and Hyundai Getz have the same engine, but the new Hyundai Verna is more expansive than the Kia Rio. Most resale Kia Rio come with sport rim, leather seat and colour door handle, but the Hyundai Verna come with only sport rim. Hyundai Getz is more popular and should have better resale value, but the Verna has a newer engine which mean better FC. Verna is sedan and has more room at the back and storage. Getz is a hatch back, easier to handle. Why on 2nd hand OPC car? Because they have low mileage (average 10000) and it save me almost $10K for a 2006 car (average resale price is $25K for a 1.4 car). A new model Kia Picanto 1.1A is selling at $27999 now without accessories. A old model Kia Picanto 1.1M is selling at $22999 with free body kits but without leather seat and sport rim (3 colour left).

  4. Hi, If I just want a simple wide angle reverse camera with monitor installed that can be activated by reverse gear, any place that can do this for a reasonble price? Also, no need TV tuner or DVD player. Just need a reasonable quality set, no need super hi-tech features but also don't want those that will spoil within 6 months. Anyone have lobang can tell me roughly what price range, model/brand and which shop do that? Thanks. Another question, can the reverse camera be activated without going to reverse gear, and then i can use the monitor instead of the rearview mirror?

  13. See what I posted in reply to Fisheye about the Federal Tire SS 595. It looks like he got a real good bargain for the tire at $64 per tire. "Grip is as good as a T1S" Hmmm...... Will this break the cheapo performance tire reign of Kumho 712?
  14. Parked my car and went for lunch. When I came back, my friend noticed that there's a dent as shown in the picture. Immediately my heart fell. Must be someone who parked beside me hit it and move off. So any lobangs for good, cheap and quick workshop to repair this...? any rough idea how much would it be to repair thiss...?
  15. Don't know if anyone has post this before, but would like to ask if anyone has used those $20+ range, Japanese words wax like the "authentic" or "king of gloss" etc. Are they good compared those more common found $40+ wax like meguairs or sonax etc??
  16. Hi, ICE newbie here, just saw quite a lot cheap sub woofer were sold in Sim Lim Tower, 10" JBL, pioneer are only sold less than $100, extra $30-50 for the box, just wondering the SQ of these cheap sub woofer, any comments? Thanks
  17. Hi Guys, Got a W210 which comes with 15" rims 205/65 R15. I know it's very small rim for a big tyre. But thats what we got from the PI when we bought this car 6 years ago. Now the rims are quite badly scratched. 1 corner of the rim looks like coral reef. And as the tyres are as bald as my head now, I'm wondering if I should take the chance to change the rims also. Called a few shops and realised that as C&C standard rim size is 16", the aftermarkets sell only 17" rims. But I think 16" is ok as it'ld be comfortable. Furthermore, I was hoping that at 16", I have more choices of cheap + good tyres ie Kumho? BFGoodrich? Now, I usually pay $130/tyre for Michelin MXV8 (Energy). Sometimes I don't know if the tyre shops are telling the truth. They said if I go for 16", the price of the tyre can be cheaper??? Just a thought...wondering as this car is already 6-7yo...maybe I should look for some 2nd hand 16" rims from those ppl who bought their benz from C&C? If so, anyone with any idea on pricing? and where to look for them? Another idea I currently have is to buy some cheap but nice looking rims from JB. Just anyhow use for another 3+ years and the car is gone. (10 yr scrap?) Not sure if extending COE or scrapping it. Everytime our decision changes whenever legislation or policy in sg changes. Just have to see what happens in 3 years' time. Any views?

  24. Dear all I am looking for a cheap and good turbo rebuilder. If you have any to recommend, kindly let me know the details; shop's name, address, nos, contact person. Thanks.
  25. I can see the move towards cheaper COEs and more usage costs (Electronic Rd Pricing)implemented. As close as 5 yrs ago when COE prices were at >$30K levels, cars were not so many on the rd. Traffic was lighter than today and ERP prices were lower. Today at rock bottom COE prices, we not only get heavier traffic, higher ERP prices, but also more fatal accidents (more frequently too) on the road. When COE prices were high at >$30K levels, everyone complained about the high cost of cars and out of reach to many, but now when COE prices are low, everyone also complains about dealers making extra profit, higher & more ERP gantries etc. So cheap COEs = Good or Bad?
