Hi, need some advice from gurus here... driving a 2006 Chevrolet Optra 1.6A... noticed that my check engine oil indicator lighted up, so stopped car immediately and check engine oil. It was within the min & max level... then con't driving home and reliased that indicator only lights up when i release accelerator and will goes off when i step on gas... it is also on when idling... Anybody encounter this before or any idea what's wrong? due sensor faulty, contaminated oil? Thanks in advance.

this price is crazy. just plug the OBD into the car and view some error codes cost $38? would you go for it?

dear forumers, im looking to buy a 2nd hand car.. does anyone have any independent workshop to recommend to do a comprehensive check on the condition of the car ? ie gear box chasis etc... the dealer says will bring to STA or VICOM but im a little skeptical after reading up on their reputation in the papers recently. just want to make sure im not buying a lemon. -
Just a check if any cheap rotation + alignment check? Asked around a few like $40-$60. No time to go malaysia due to reservist. It cost only about RM50~RM60 over at truely asia.

Hi just wanted to do a sanity check on my 80k servicing fees (Lancer GLX) at Eng Hup... i am thinking of using them long term so the check is for my reference... 1. normal 10k servicing (synthetic oil change / filters changes) / Spark plugs / Auto transmssion oil change / tyre rotation - $220 4. Timing belt - $300 5. Engine mount - $480 thanks in advance...

any experts can advise me on this vsc and check engine light which came on after driving in todays heavy downpour. i drive a 2004/5 model rx300 bmr i disconnected the battery source and this seems gone. anyone can advise me on any further action to take? can someone help me to erase the double post?

With the recent loan regulations by MAS on cars, there have been alot of debate. It would be good to see the statistics how much are really affected based on MCF pool of people ( although alot rich people ) the poll will be based on the car you intend or think of buying before the loan regulation and with the new regulation, how much DP can you AFFORD to down? eg, if person A intends to buy an Altis, 100k, then his DP% will be based on 100k. if B intends to buy a super car at 1mil, then his DP% will be based on 1mil.

Yesterday around 12pm, 3 of us went to the Boleh land. We returned back around 4pm and realized only one passport was stamp and the rest were not. Ok, 1 is using Macs and the other is using normal one, just like mine. The officer told us 1 passport got no stamp and directed us to the main office. The Encik inside was kind enough to give my friend a warning and asked us to check next time. So nothing happened to us and it was pretty smooth throughout and we left the custom in just 10 min. So please check your passport upon entering after the leaving the MY custom. No need to argue with the custom there as it is still our fault for not checking the stamp on our passport. If everyone check, then the jam will be a nightmare. Good luck.

Almost hit by a car today that beat the red light after lights in her favour turned red for more than 10 secs. Would definitely have collided had i not waited that extra 1 sec for the pedestrians to finish crossing the road. Always remember to check the opposite direction at T-junctions even if you have the right of way! Video has been submitted to authorities for further actions. Drive safe everyone!

Dear Bros, I want to buy one used card which sta report give general Grade B but fluid check is C . Remarks say engine and steering rack & pinion have oil seepage and sign of oils stain of engine. Does it mean serious problem inside? Car is 5 years old and maintained by dealer workshop. Highly appreciate your help!

hi fellow mates . during cny period went to NSHW. My crusing speed was above average at 130km/h all the way till muar. Nothing happens till i rch sg. The engine check light appears. Went to my nearby workshop to diagnosis it and was given a error code as o2 sensor defaultive. I was told that my car has a 2 o2 sensor position? Everything ended within 3mins, and was told to paid a fee of $50?! just to check the error code. So i would like to ask if it is normal to pay these amt of fee just to check whats the error code? thanks in advance.and btw, o2 sensor costing ard 250 normal?
