To All: Seeking your advice: how does DLS UPR6S sound like? anything similar to UP6 or CDT CL61 or AVI XL or Dynaudio 240MKII or another other speaker u heard before. I personally heard of UP6, veri nice.... BTW is this speaker a power hungry one? 100 RMMS good enough or need more to sound good? Thanks in advance.

Hi there, 1. There is a common notion that manual gear box offers better control and is more fuel efficient that an auto gear box. In addition auto gear box is more prone to damage than a manual one. However, some said auto cars are more suited for city driving and perhaps easier for the ladies. 2. With the possibility that driving schools may be teaching auto car, do you think this will affect the resales value of manual cars in the future? Worse, the car distributors/retailers may stop selling manual cars eventually. 3. Do you prefer auto gear box or a manual one? Regards.

Have been reading up on this in this forum. And have conclude that "Rike-cool" has the worst workmanship. Wow... with so many in the market. I'm so confuse in which brands to go for. Excluding those premium brands like "V-kool and Huper". Is it true that "Nanolux" is the inferior brand of the it's big brothers "V-kool and Huper? I'm thinking of installing it. Or any brands that MCF bros can recommend? Thanks!

Going for 1k soon but not bringing own oil. Do SA give a choice of engine oil to be used? They standard is sae50 oil right? Say I want sae40, will they have it or definitely got to bring own? I think my aveo5 petrol consumption quite high and I dun rev hard so can it be due to thick engine oil?

I accompanied my friend on a tire hunting trip today. He was looking for 195/60-15 tires. Was quoted at various shops $95 for ES100 $90 for ST115 $100 for GR80 Can anyone help fill in the prices for GIII Direzza DZ101 Firenza ST-03 Pilot Preceda How would you rank these if the criteria are a) Grip wet and dry b) Durability c) Noise in that order of priority?

Glossy Guys and Gleaming Gals, I'm really really new to this idea of waxing and stuff. But now my wife is forcing me to do it. Exercise she says, should protect the car she says, less time to do other money-wasting hobbies she says... Can't I just be a lazy panda? So... I don't wanna spend to much effort (easy application buff and reasonable lifespan), I don't wanna spend too much money. Forget about claybar, swirl removal, primers and sealant coats. If it works, its a good wax.

hi folks, what would u choose if the following criterias have to be met : 1) below 100k 2) non-PI car 3) need for big boot space 4) good FC 5) reliable engine 6) nice looking IMHO, it is quite difficult to state what is termed as nice or reliable or good. Just wanna get some ideas on wat to get for a frd. cheers.

Hi, I'm intending to get new tyres 215/45/R17. I've limited to 3 choices: ST115 ES100 G3 which of these are quieter? i believe performance wise all about the same? And also pricing? i narrowed to this 3 because it cost lesser then say CSC2 or Ad07. Any others would you guys recommend? I'm using G3 now, grip damn good. wet not bad but damn noisy.

Any one has changed their Exhaust muffler ? Was at Fong Kim & Jeep Chee checking out Remus & Supersprint. Prices are pretty close abt $900 for the rear section only. Any comments or feedback on which brand is better ? Besides the above 2, any other brands that are LTA approved ?

hi all...me just signed up..n need some help I will be getting my ES5 in 2 weeks or so. Though my ES5 com with 15'sports rim, i intend to upgrade to either 16' or 17'but dunno which size,rims,tyres to choose? read many post on the oz superlegga in SHC but got ppl recomend zigen.i saw ES5 with 17" before and it looks nice.But i scared will make the drink drink alot n no power. how is 16"?fuel.power.price?

Dear All Really need you guys to help... Have been shopping for cars a few weeks already, then with the increase of COE most dealers also increase their prices Calculated and found not much difference to buy a used car compared to a new one in terms of installment based on 7 yrs loan. Now intend to look into conti cars. Bascially have shortlisted these 3 and need your feedback. Please help to poll judging on reliability of car, cost of maintenance, fuel economy and any potential problems that I must look out for. Thanks

As i am likely to replace stock rims/tyres of the car i am gonna buy soon, i tot abit of education from dear MCF bros/sis will be timely at this moment. This will avoid last minute 'crash-course' when decisions have to be made before signing the deal.......... What am i looking for?? - mid or slightly above mid- price range (what $$$$ should i be looking at?) - should i go for light weight or slightly below average weight???... average wt = ??? kg per piece, light wt = ??? kg per piece......... i dun race and maybe push the car only about 30% of the time i drive.... mainly urban driving so cornering cannot be too fast but red light grand prix will be there......... - what brands/models (tyres n rims) should i be looking at based on above?.....not too noisy if possible... - will costs of replacing tyres increase (for wear n tear in say 20 months' time) alot alot if i upgrade rim/tyre size from 16-inch to 17-inch???....... what about from 17-inch to 18-inch.....???? - any other relevant info you think i should know??? Hi there! I am stuck in a rut. Last weekend went over to look at Toyota corolla and the Honda Cic Exi. The price is about the same for both. But I was wondering which is more worth it? Apparently the OMV is different between the 2 with the Honda being slightly higher at 17K vs the corolla at 14K. SHould this factor heavily? Also need some advice on the relative performance and maybe some info on the plus and minus between the 2. Considerations : Toyota 1.5XLi vs the Honda Civic EXi (Auto or manual ) Appreciate any help. besides OZ superleg, what other rims out there are gunmetal? i assume gunmetal are darkish/characoal-color chrome. on the scale of black to white: 1. pure black, matt 2. gunmetal 3. chrome, matt (not shiny) 4. chrome, shiny
