Is it because you two met since young, grew up together than tied the knot? Is it because you feel that sense of "electricity" when you are together? Is it because you fear being left on the shelf so just grab the next one that comes along and go queue for HDB? For those who married long long time, did your feelings grow stronger, diminish or morph into something else? Do you feel that marriage should be properly planned like discussing and settling all the the thorny issues beforehand or just do it and wing whatever comes along?

hey everyone! need your help on this. on the various things i should consider. depreciation? loan amount? etc etc.... i'm comparing between 2 cars. at first, my thought is that the depreciation of the 1st one will definitely make it a better buy. then i realized that the second one has a significantly higher COE, resulting in a higher paper value, hence better resale value if i sell it off after 2-3years. am i right to think that way? any suggestions on how to think about this? thanks everyone!! same model. different year. 1) Price $78,800 registered 06-Dec-2006 OMV $36,000 COE $14,000 installment $1,482 (based on sgcarmart full loan) depreciation: (78,800-18,000)/58mths*12 = $12579 2) Price $141,800 registered 15-Jul-2010 OMV $36,000 COE $39,002 installment $1,626 (based on sgcarmart full loan) depreciation: (141,800-18000)/102mths*12 = $14564

What you are driving now, how did you choose it? (Assuming your choices are within budget) Did you choose it based on the priority below (starting from most important to least impt): 1. Your own preference eg 60% 2. Bf/wife's comments 25% 3. Frens' advice 10% 4. Pressure (eg to match your 'status', or to match your frens' ride, or to make sure others 'respect' you becoz of what you drive) 5% You can put in your or % and reposition the above from highest to lowest % Is you ideal method of choosing a car same as what happened to your choice of current ride? Mine is: 1. Own preference 40% 2. Wife's preference 40% (coz she uses the car as much as i do) 3. Frens advice 20% (on technical stuff) 4. Pressure 0%

If you win a prize which allows you to drive 3 cars you love most, one day one car for 3 days, which three cars will you pick? I think i will choose: 1. the fastest car -- Zonda or the latest Maclaren 2. the bulky but fast yet stately -- Continental GTC 3. the odd one -- electric sports car (forget the name)

I am studying a few options for a new car. I went down to view all of them but still wanna hear some input form you guys here. All three is within a close price range. All have roughly similiar hp and torque. A7: The exterior still takes some getting used to for me. I like the interior. High on equipment level. Big nav screen, soft door closing, reverse camera, headup display. S line kit. CLS: Exterior also need getting used to. I feel this has the best interior(similiar to W212 and new c class). Nice steering wheel. However due to sloping roof line the rear is straight 2 seater(middle seat will hit the roof). Lowest among 3 on equipment. However it is only one with full LED headlines. 535i: Since it is launched last year, i always admire F10 exterior. I think i can add the M styling bodykit and it will look even more sporty. Exterior is nice however the problem thing is i feel the main dial look rather cheap and plasticky.

MM: Aljunied GRC residents will regret choosing the WP By Leslie Koh VOTERS in Aljunied GRC who choose the Workers' Party (WP) team will regret it, said Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew on Friday night. 'If they choose (the opposition), then I say, good luck to them. They have five years to ruminate and to regret what they did. And I have no doubts they will regret it,' he said. The People's Action Party (PAP) team there comprises Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Lim Hwee Hua, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed - who has been identified as a potential Speaker of Parliament - Madam Cynthia Phua and new face Ong Ye Kung, an assistant secretary-general of NTUC who is touted as a potential office holder. They are facing a challenge by a high-profile team from the WP comprising former Hougang MP Low Thia Khiang, former NCMP Sylvia Lim, the party's 'star catch' Chen Show Mao, a corporate lawyer with top academic qualifications; as well as family counsellor Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap and post-graduate law student Pritam Singh. Speaking to reporters during a visit to Tampines, Mr Lee said the contest in Aljunied GRC could be boiled down to this issue: Do you want a capable team that can look after your interests, or do you want a team with little track record? 'At the end of the day, if you are in Aljunied, ask yourself: Do you want one MP, one Non-Constituency MP, one celebrity who has been away 30 years, and two unknowns to look after you?' Or, he continued, did voters prefer two ministers, one potential Parliament Secretary, one potential Speaker of Parliament, and one grassroots MP? 'Just ask yourself that,' he said http://www.straitstimes.com/GeneralElectio...ory_662848.html

I need your urgent advice about employing a maid. As a busy mother, I need someone reliable to help out at home. My maid is from Profits Agency Pte (PAP) and she has worked for me for a long time. Her mother worked for my parents and did an excellent job, so I had faith in her. For several years her performance has been very good, but recently she has become arrogant and insensitive, and is making lots of mistakes. For example: 1) She flooded my kitchen

Other than recommendations from trusted frens, do you check out the place to see how things are organised, eg tools, equipment etc are neat and not all over the place, the floor etc are clean, the place is well lit and no dark as a ktv lounge? the staff there dont appear like hooligans or drug addicts?... etc etc For normal routine service, I use a husband&wife shop in their 40s... so far so good and their floor is always clean... toilet also.... things are organised better than my own bedroom..... but in the past i have also used greasy workshop with leaking pipes / roof.... no hard and fast rule? Of course they must know what they are doing, and the bill cannot be unreasonably high like chopping carrots.....

Ponder over this one. Its not that simple. There must be meaning to our existence. Usually the one that we love give us the reason to linger on and give meaning and happiness to our lives....
