  3. Citroen C4 Cactus unveiled with roof-mounted airbag Citroens have always been a little bit different, and perhaps this new one is even more unique than others. Full official details of the radical Citroen C4 Cactus have been released over yesterday’s leaked images, giving us insights of the brand’s, say, unique take on a C-segment vehicle. This is a “real alternative” to compact hatchbacks, according to Citroen. Its approach is an original one, especially when it comes to appearance. The earlier Cactus Concept’s split headlamps, ‘floating’ roof, upswept C-pillar, flat-dish wheels and 3D-effect rear lights are all carried over to the production version. Even the Airbumps – impact-absorbing soft air capsules to protect the body against minor bumps and scratches – have made it through to the production phase. Talk about being bold. Same goes to the interior, which has a few unique touches too. It has a seven-inch multimedia touch-screen display as standard, along with fully digital instrumentations behind the steering wheel. The button-type gear selectors also allowed Citroen to fit wide sofa-style seats at the front. Meanwhile, the front passenger airbag has been moved to the roof (Airbag In Roof technology) – a world-exclusive feature that creates more interior room and storage space. Another innovative addition is the panoramic glazed roof with advanced heat protection to let the light in but keep the heat out. Through the use of an “optimised platform” (i.e. not the new EMP2 modular base) and new engines, Citroen has managed to bring the weight down by 200 kg compared to the existing C4 hatchback. As such, the most efficient diesel variant will average just 3.1 litres per 100 km (32.3 km/l).

    C1 Swiss & Me

Citroen's new city car - the C1 - has made buzz online when it was revealed (in pictures) before its official debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The funky looks and character are hard not to fall for, especially for the younger audiences. Now, the French automaker has chosen to use this chic supermini to pay tribute to the motor show - by wearing the national colours of Switzerland. The city of Geneva has always been considered one of the world's most liveable. That means it should be the perfect place to launch a car of such playful character. Dubbed 'Swiss & Me', the C1 Concept car has a two-tone effect - red roof and white body, with the Swiss flag proudly worn on the roof. Works are not limited to aesthetics - the C1 Swiss & Me has a central tailpipe, wing extensions and large wheels to hint at its performance. Now imagine if our streets are filled with cars of a similar concept - but wearing the national flag of Singapore instead. How cool is that?
  11. Superminis are a hit among city dwellers thanks to their cutesy dimensions that are easily manoevrable around the city. But more recently, they have been gaining chic and stylish personalities which made them hard not to fall for. And the latest Citroen C1 is one good example. Having sold more than 760,000 examples since it was first launched in 2005, the C1 is a commercial success for Citroen. This latest iteration aims to work on that and bring more customers to the marque. On top of the conventional three-door and five-door variants, the C1 will now come in a new open-top body style called Airscape. Who says you can't have the wind-in-you-hair experience in your supermini? The new fascia is delightfully funky and attractive, with the new headlamps creating a 'cheeky gaze' that should create an uplifting mood - not just for the driver, but for the bystanders too. Citroen will unveil the latest C1 supermini at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
  12. Looks like China car is going to be every where but different names... http://www.todayonline.com/business/dongfeng-eyes-se-asia-s14b-peugeot-citroen-deal
  13. http://dai.ly/x163qju Citroen is taking a new step forward in its product offensive with its latest MPV. The Grand C4 Picasso, as its called, is a uniquely styled car that fully stands out on the road, featuring a flowing body style and generous cabin space.

  16. Citroen has unveiled a World Rally Championship (WRC) diorama to celebrate Sebastien Loeb and Daniel Elena's nine FIA WRC titles. The model was revealed at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) on the 18th February remained on show till today. From the snow and ice of Rally Finland to the iconic ruins of the Acropolis Rally, the 1:43-scale model is finished in the best quality, with the utmost attention to detail. 18. [extract] Following the footsteps of Ford, Citroen has recently introduced its new PureTech family of three-cylinder petrol engine with capacity of 1.0-litres and 1.2-litres. Unlike Ford's EcoBoost, Citroen's power plants are naturally-aspirated and hence they produce a more modest output ranging from 68bhp to 82bhp. These new range of engines will be fitted on the C3, DS3 and C-Elys

    Citroen DS5

Test drove the car on the launch day. Very handsome looking car, both interior and exterior.. Same engine as Mini Cooper s and Peugeot (1.6 T models). Interior is built and shaped like cockpit. Comes with features overloaded. Unfortunately, I feel that it's just overpriced for my liking. Selling for 177k after discount (perhaps can go down some more but did not bother to go to such length). It's the most pricey in the Citroen lineup. Applaud the design team, but does not appreciate the pricing team. :)
  20. Anyone has any feedbacks about their sensodrive technology? would like to hear from users how durable are em as i read online, many times its due to firmware rather than hardware. thanks all!
  21. Anybody knows of any quality and yet affordable workshop to service Citroen Berlingo (Disel) beside the car agent itself? Please help me out here with your recommendations, as the agent charges are really too high for me. Thanks in advance.
  22. Hi, my dad is interested in these 2 cars. Just for an example of the exact spec and models, below are 2 links: C4 Focus As for the Focus, we are open to either the hatchback or the sedan version. Priorities are mainly reliability, fuel consumption and again, reliability. As he has spent almost 10k on repairs on his current car. I know for reliability, one should choose jap cars like toyota, honda etc. but my dad likes something different. I know these 2 models are quite low on power, but still drivable i guess. Read up abit and concluded that the focus is more of a fun car as in handling and the C4 is very comfortable. Any one can advise on any of these 2 models regarding reliability and maintainance issues? your feedback will very much be appreciated. Thanks!
