Many of us, including me, know someone who owns or have owned a Honda Civic hatchback. It started from a rather humble and simple beginning and today, it is a favourite among practical car buyers and also among those who seek a budget performance ride. Coming from a country that makes safe, economical and reliable cars, the Honda Civic has proven that it is efficient and reasonably priced too. From its fuel economical engine to its class leading interior, the Honda Civic has sold millions all over the world and that further proves its popularity. Let us take a look on how this humble and practical car began from a three-door hatchback way back in 1973 to a sporty racing breed today. When the Civic hatchback was introduced in late 1972 as the following year model, it was pretty small. Lengthwise it is 138.9 inches long, 59.3 inches wide and it weighed around 680kg. Its 1.2 litre engine delivered around 50bhp which was pretty efficient for a car during that time. The second generation model Honda Civic grew almost 10 inches in length and more than in 2 inches in width. It was offered in several engine displacements. A Si trim was offered in the mid 1980s for the third generation Civic. To accommodate European styling and a sports-based suspension, it increased by 2 inches in length and 2.3 inches in width. Encounter with this SFB 3..7 Medium Blue Honda Civic I was turning right from Stagmont Ring, The vehicle on my right side have illegal HID installed, caused extra glare on my already wet windscreen, thus, I could not really see if any pedestrian is crossing the road, so i tap on the brake to slow... slow... because it's raining... I think this prick got irritated by me for me being cautious and being responsible.. Thus, for that small road, he tailgate me very close on this poor visibility and wet road, overtook me on upon approaching left bend on my right where he could hardly see oncoming car. So when his car was coming out behind me halfway, I just gently tap on the brake (with no slowing down and no intention of him colliding onto me), just to give him a scare , he end up got more pissed off, exchanged eye contact and chiong the bend and to stop for the red light in front to. Genius. Raining, drive properly and safely! Although I have been cursing for your car to skid, hit tree, hit barrier, then you might learn how to drive more responsibly.

Saw this White Honda Civic zipping in and out of lanes when I was at BKE going into KJE towards Jurong. Must be rushing to pang sai so I simply shrugged it off when he was ahead of me, zig-zagging here and there.. Suddenly when I was cruising near CCK exit, saw this civic struck behind another car ( make unknown ) for a few seconds.. The car was going at perhaps 100km/hour. Yes. Road hogging. I got no problems with it as I was in middle lane. Suddenly this white civic chut pattern.. sped in front of the car in lane 1.. Jammed brake to 50km/hour. Then when the car behind knew that he was road hogging, switched to 2nd lane which was my lane and I was already in front watching the show unveil.. The white civic idiot still not happy, switched back to middle lane to jam brake on the car who is not finding trouble. I was already way in front as I kept my speed to 110km/hour.. then when he finished his s--t, he sped and overtook me and disappeared into one of the Jurong Exit.. Anyone knows where he stays exactly? I hope to pay him a visit one of these days to check out his nice car. Please pm me. I tried searching for his car details but seem that this car did not exist. Cant be leh.

Road Hazard - Honda Civic SFR6558C This afternoon, you nearly bang into me. Your turning is like primary school kid. While turning, you cut into my lane abruptly, nearly ruining my saturday. Without a word of apology, you drove off like a girl. Seriously i dunno what the FCUK you were doing. I didnt see any remorse from you. Luckily i had self-pick up defensive driving skills throughout all these years no thanks to people like you driving without any brains.

hey boy, i seen u drive dangerously a lot of time exiting from pie to paya lebar, and today u made me performed the hardest emergency brake of my life. u filter all the way to the left without signal, and your car back door is already beside me, and you can still filter left without signalling. you made me brake till my moon cake fly from my passanger seats, and all the moon cake is ruined now. now my car smell of durian and if i am not in a rush i would have find u for car washing fee. i am the silver mini that had horn you and high beam you after you cut my lane at 9.55 am, at the exit of of pie heading towards paya lebar.

met a sissy driver whom i supposed have a big ego. this happened today when i was driving along CTE in lane 1 towards city. i was picking up speed as infront was clear,then this sissy who was in lane 2 pretty far away cut into my lane without signalling causing me to ease my throttle(iam fines as its very common and used to it). but this driver didn't pick up speed any much faster than vehicles in lane 2 and after a few seconds,i was pretty close to him(i was stepping the gas pedal in a gentle manner) and there was a big gap in front of him. and again,i know road hoggers are very common so usually i don't horn or beam.instead i always have to find chance and overtake from lane 2. so my turn to turn to be nasty now.i tailgated him (well probably 1/4car length) not that close though. i tailgated him because he was probably 5km/hr faster than a taxi on lane 2 and i wanted to filter infront of the taxi so that i can overtake him. now,my chance has come(feels like donkey years) and i signal left to filter... what happend at this moment,as soon as i ON my signal,this bugger tap his brake light(even though he didn't jam brake).now this shows how big ego he owns. u know how annoying it is when one is trying to filter lane and the car infront suddenly brake? so when i drive pass this sissy,beside him was a lady driver who turned her head and looked at me(probably he told her how close i was behind them). but i ignored him and continue my journey. the woman passenger must have blown his ego big big. what a loser to drive like this.

According to Consumer Reports, that's precisely what happened with the 2012 Honda Civic. Says David Champion, senior director of Consumer Reports' Auto Test Center: "While other models like the Hyundai Elantra have gotten better after being redesigned, the Civic has dropped so much that now it ranks near the bottom of its category." Just how far has the Civic fallen from CR's grace? The 2012 model's 61 points is a precipitous 17-point drop from the 2011 model's score of 78. That discrepancy is enough to force the Civic out of CR's Recommended list of automobiles. The only small sedan to score lower than the Civic is the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta, which has also been widely accused of too-obvious cost cutting compared to its predecessor. Many of the Honda Civic's fiercest competitors, on the other hand, scored very well in CR's latest round of compact car tests. The aforementioned and recently redesigned 2011 Hyundai Elantra earned the top spot overall, followed closely by the 2012 Ford Focus, 2011 Chevrolet Cruze and 2011 Kia Forte hatchback. Was quoted $214 (before GST) ea for bridgestone GR90 by Kah Motors. Is that a good price? Any other shops that I should pay a visit to? what about doing it in JB? Was reading other threads and seems like quite a few talks about the RE001 and RE11. Are they very much more expensive and better? Sorry if my questions sound very newbie cos its my first drive and thus my first time changing tires.

any bro here know where to get good & not too expensive brake pad for my ES5? Previously I have brought nissin brand which lasted less than 30k km. Compared to my previous original brake pad from Kah Motor that lasted me almost 100k km. that's alot of difference.

I am giving away Honda Civic, previous model, wheel covers and car mat. The wheel covers is in good condition except for one with some scratches. The car mat consists of rear passenger and front passenger mat. Driver side car mat is nont available. The car mat is in good condition, almost as good as new. Sad that Honda discontinued the type-r which means the FD2R and the FN2 http://paultan.org/2010/04/18/honda-to-dis...e-civic-type-r/ http://www.bernama.com.my/bernama/v5/news_lite.php?id=491634 NSX , integra , prelude , delsol , s2000 all those fast car from Honda has discontinued the only hope is the Civic type-r and then they discontinued it..... only left the CR-Z as their sportiest car ..

got chance to drive Civic FD 1.8M on NSH, Tried to test whether it could be, but when it reached 195km/h, there was slow vehicle in front, had to slow down, dare not to try again anyone has the experience to drive FD1.8 over 200km/h?
